Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 48
“Wow! It has been a long time since I went outside!” Adrian spoke out his tone displaying his fascination.
Turning her head, Odette took a glance at his face. His sparkling eyes showed how amazed and joyful he was, and a wide smile sat upon his features. His dimples became visible while he happily skipped beside her.
Both of them were walking through the streets. Odette was dressed in her clothing for training and had her family crest removed for she did not want anyone to trouble them.
It shocked Odette that she had skipped her training to do something as silly as this. However, seeing how miserably the boy was crying, she could not bring herself to heartlessly leave him at here. That was funny considering how heartless was one of the words that described her well.
‘Just a little longer, Odette. Enjoy this for a little longer before you detach yourself from him. It will be fine if you do it for a little while; this is just for the sake of fun.’
She repeated those words inside her mind, imprinting it within herself. Although she did not entirely believe those words, she still continued to do it for she wanted to indulge herself in these emotions.
“I had expected that,” Odette said, “What do you want to eat? I will be buying it for you. But this is the last time I am doing this for you. Next time, if Dennis manages to steal from you, I will not be caring for you.”
Her words seemed to have caught the boy by surprise as he widened his eyes, and halting in his steps, he stared up at the girl.
“Lady Odette, you won’t ask Dennis to give me back my coins?” Adrian asked his eyes pleading her.
Even if that influenced her a little, she did not let her decision get swayed by that, and curving her lips to form a small smile, she spoke out, “No, I have no intentions for that. It’s your fault for having your coins stolen in the first place.”
“Eh! It’s not my fault. I did not know that Dennis would be taking my coins away. If I had known that, I would not have given those coins to him,” Adrian defended himself.
“You see, my dear Adrian, there is something you need to abide by if you stay in the Albinius House. You either eat or get eaten,” Odette spoke out as the smile on her face turned slightly menacing not enough for Adrian to notice it.
Confusion showed on the boy’s face before he questioned, “What does that mean, Lady Odette? What do I have to eat?”
Odette chuckled and said, “It seems that I have given a difficult term to you. Why don’t you figure it out on your own? I will give you a reward if you manage to do so.”
Protruding his bottom lip forward, Adrian let a pout form on his face, and while his clear eyes stared at her, he exclaimed, “You are being mean again, Lady Odette!”
