Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 49
“Wow! This is delicious!” the boy spoke out.
His blue eyes sparkled like gems as he bit into the pretzel in his hand, and chewing on the food, he savoured its delicious. His face perfectly showed how he was enjoying the food.
Accompanying him was Odette Albinius. Silently, she continued to walk and occasionally stole glances at the boy. With the reason being unknown to her, she was more fond of his sparkling eyes compared to those glistened to tears.
This was shocking and frightening to her, but those were overwhelmed by how intrigued she was. With the selfish part of her taking over, she desired to see more of that.
Maybe the reason she was accompanying him was because of herself, not because of him.
“You sure you don’t want any?” Adrian asked, turning to face Odette.
Shaking her head slightly, Odette answered, “No, I will be fine without it.”
“Don’t regret it later on then. This is really good,” he commented as he nibbled on the snack, and at that instant, he reminded her of a bunny an innocent bunny unable to see the trap he will be thrown into.
That just made him more endearing in her eyes.
Once he had finished the pretzel, he licked his thumb before enthusiastically speaking out, “Lady Odette, maybe you are right. This is my fault. From next time onward, I will not let him have even a coin from me! I have learned how to protect my coin!”
Halting in her steps, Odette asked, “So, you are not planning for any revenge?”
Confusion became visible on Adrian’s face as he enunciated, “Revenge? Ah! That! For my coins, I will get stronger and beat him up one day for being that mean to me.”
“That’s all?” she raised one of her eyebrows.
Adrian nodded and spoke out, “I want to steal money from him, but that’s bad, right, Lady Odette? My mom told me that only bad boys steal, and I don’t want to be a bad boy.”
For a second there, Odette was taken off guard before she shook her head and let out a laugh before mumbling, “I wonder how it will feel to recall these memories when you don’t have one shred of innocence within you. I am looking forward to that!”
“Did you say anything?” Adrian asked.
She shook her head and questioned, “Do you want to have anything else?”
“No more,” Adrian spoke out.
Spreading both of his hand, he indicated a large amount and continued, “I ate this much today. My stomach will be exploding if I eat more. Aren’t you hungry though, Lady Odette? I did not see you eat anything. Didn’t you find those food delicious?”
“No,” Odette answered, “I am not interested in junk like that. Let’s return back now and train.”
“Why train? I am really sleepy now, Lady Odette, and want to sleep,” he vocalised as a yawn escaped from his mouth.
She scoffed and spoke out, “Weren’t you talking about how you want to get stronger than Dennis? You can’t slack off.”
