Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 50
Being robbed was not surprising at such a place.
Walking through the almost empty road with Adrian, Odette had more or less expected for something like this to happen. Beside them were barely any people, and those present were busy with their own task.
Even if both of them were not dressed extravagantly, Odette’s clothes gave off easily that she was from a rich family coupled with the fact how she spent coins on the streets back then.
Taking in how defenseless she was the entire time, this made her a easy target to many looking for someone appropriate to steal from.
While Adrian was cheerfully chatting with her the whole time, Odette kept caution towards her surroundings. This was not the first time she had been in such a place. However, at such a young age and without guards, she could not recall coming here.
Even if she was strong, the situation might get dangerous for her if she was distracted.
“Lady Odette, there were five cats,” Adrian spoke out.
Before he was able to continue further, a man ran past Odette and snatched the bag from her. As the man hurriedly moved away from that place, Odette stared at his back.
Noticing what had happened, Adrian let out a gasp while Odette, on the other hand, remained calm about it. Reaching into the pocket, she took out a dagger and pointed it towards the man’s back.
She then spoke out, “Adrian, this is what happens when someone tries to steal from me.”
With that, Odette shot the dagger at the man’s direction. The man, who was fairly at a decent distance from, was attacked by the dagger. A loud scream escaped from his mouth as the dagger pierced through his back, and the blood oozed out of it, staining his clothes.
The sudden pain caused him to get down to his knees, and his face contorted due to that as he extended his hand back to touch his back. His palm came in contact with his damp garment due to the blood.
The ends of Odette’s lips curved to form a smile for how successful her shot had been. She was not exactly confident about it, and if the dagger had not touched him, she would have left him alone, considering it to be his good luck.
But seeing how it managed to injure him, she felt proud at herself for not losing her skills when it came to shooting daggers. After all, the distance between them was fairly large.
Odette made her way towards the kneeling male, and the thief turned back to stare at her with horror in his eyes. Guessing that she was the one behind it, he extended his hand towards her in order to attack her.
However, before he was able to do that, she pulled away the dagger from his back, causing him to let out another scream due to the intense pain. That’s when his eyes fell on the crest upon the dagger, and his eyes widened at that.
