Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 52
Before Odette was able to continue further, Adrian’s eyes widened in horror while a loud and shrilly scream escaped from his mouth.
Upon that, Odette turned back, and her line of sight fell on the thief from before. The thief who had mustered up all of his courage to do this had the dagger pierced through his chest.
The blood flowed down of his chest, coloring his clothing red, while his face was growing ashen gradually as he was losing his life. Doing such a thing took a lot of courage on his part, but he would rather die peacefully than have the Albinius family take him.
Odette’s grip on the dagger loosened, and she took a step backwards. Although she had expected this since she had plotted for it to go like that she put on a frightened expression. A gasp escaped from her mouth while she placed on her palm upon her mouth.
At that instant, Odette felt someone gripping on the hem of her clothing and pull her. With the fear visible in her eyes, she turned back only to be met with Adrian’s face.
Even though he was clearly shaken up and scared from the scene, he held worry in those eyes of his, and she could see that it was directed towards her.
“Lady Odette, don’t look back. It will scare you,” he spoke out.
Odette found it cute how he was concerned with her when he was at a worse state than her. Seeing how he was trembling, Odette bent down slightly and, patting on his head, she patted his head.
The soft look in his eyes caused her to forget about all that she had planned to say go him previously in order to make him more fearful of her. Seeing him like that erased all of that from her mind.
‘It’s alright. He would not be having that impact on you soon. Everyone changes when they get tainted, and the same will be happening to him as well regardless of how innocent and naive he is now. Then, you will feel nothing like this again.’
Although those words of hers were just excuse to show how she wasn’t starting to grow unnecessary emotions towards the boy, Odette put her utmost trust to it even if a part within her was doubtful about it.
“Let’s go back. There is nothing for us to see at here, and the officials will be handling everything,” she voiced out.
Odette noticed how the people started to gather around both of them, and it was inevitable that a new rumour about her will be going around the place. Nonetheless, she could not bring herself to care about that.
