Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 56
“I see,” Odette vocalised.
She wondered about the distraught expression that would be sitting upon his face once something happens to this cat of this. What would that be driving him to do? Would it make him as evil as her?
“Do you want to hold her or is it him? I don’t know the gender of the kitten yet,” Adrian spoke out, “Do you?”
“This is a male kitten,” Odette said, “Why don’t you keep a name for kitten? You can’t always call it kitten.”
“I can keep the name?” the boy questioned, pointing at himself, and seeing Odette nod caused him to let out a squeal.
“There are so many things I want to name him gem, treasure, beautiful, tiny, shiny. Which one do you think is the best, Lady Odette?” he stated.
“Weak. That’s the only word that comes to my mind after I see him,” Odette expressed.
“I don’t want to call the kitten weak. That’s so mean! White I will call him white. Wow! His fur is really white,” Adrian spoke out, hugging the kitten tighter.
A kitten let out a small purr at that, and he added, “Ah! So, you like the name! I am glad you like it. You will be white from now on, White.”
Watching the boy interact with the cat subconsciously caused a small smile to form on Odette’s face as she folded her arms over her chest. The boy appeared to be quite adorable while he nuzzled against the cat’s fur.
Upon the realization on how she was reacting, her eyes widened due to surprise, and immediately, she wiped that smile off of her face.
There was nothing wrong with her smiling, but Odette reminded herself that this was one of the way she wasn’t allowed to smile. This will only make her similar to all the people she looked down on previously.
Adrian removed his nose from around the cat’s nape, and raising it, he pushed it towards Odette before saying, “Here, carry him. White wants you to that.”
“I don’t believe that the cat is able to talk,” Odette pointed out as a teasing glint appeared in her eyes.
“Lady Odette,” Adrian whined while a pout was starting to form upon his features.
Without a second thought, Odette decided to concede. Carrying the kitten in her hand, she stared at him. The kittens were brought by her maids, and she had no clue as on how they were.
Odette wondered what was about such a small and weak creature that made many look at awe in them. Seeing Adrian being so excited by the kitten, she wanted to ask the question. Nonetheless, she held herself back.
“White feels soft, right? I really like carrying him that’s why although he is a little heavy,” Adrian said, “Since you don’t have a cat of your own, you must be quite sad. Don’t worry! I am willing to share White with you.”
“I am the one who brought White to you,” Odette expressed.
“Oh right! You did! Then, why didn’t you get one for yourself?” Adrian’s face displayed his curiosity.
“I have no use of such creatures,” she vocalised, “This is just for a game.”
As if ignoring her words, Adrian said, “You are regretting it, right? As long as you feed White, it will be liking you as much as it likes me. Both of us can be best friends with White!”
