Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 65
The tears finally stopped, seeing how tired the boy had grown to become. Beside him, on the floor of the hallway, Odette was seated, and her hand was upon his shoulder, patting it softly.
Odette wasn’t able to understand the intention behind her action; it was merely that she wanted to do that in the very moment.
Her eyes fell on the limp body of the cat, and she spoke out, “What are you going to do now? That kitten is dead, and I am sure you know who is one behind it the one who benefitted from this death.”
“D-Dennis?” he managed to choke out.
Odette’s words to him last time around was clearly present in his mind. Although Dennis was mean, he never thought that the boy would be going as far as killing White.
This made him feel aggravated, and Adrian clenched his hand into a tight fist. Not only was he really fond of the kitten, White was also a gift to him from Odette.
The anger that rose within the five year old was easily noticed by Odette, and this made her wonder about what the boy was planning to do.
“Why did he kill White? Why is he this bad? Doesn’t killing White off make him sad?” Adrian questioned.
“Dennis will be getting rewarded from this,” Odette voiced out, “And you will be punished from this, just as the rule goes.”
Turning to face Odette, Adrian vocalised, “Can you keep White with you for a moment? I will be coming back.”
Nodding, Odette accepted the dead body of the kitten from the boy, and seeing how Adrian proceeded to stand up, she did that as well.
Looking at the kitten, Adrian bent down to kiss the kitten on top of his head softly while a single stray tear fell down his eyes. His chest squeezed painfully at the thought of White dying.
White left him just like his mother did, and it was really painful to him. All of a sudden, his surroundings felt completely silent, and he felt empty without the purr from the kitten.
Before Adrian could break out into crying, he looked away from the cat and began to step forward.
Watching the distancing back, Odette mumbled, “I wonder how long will it be taking for you to get tired of loving.”
Standing behind the wall, Odette watched as the five year old made his way towards Dennis. His hand was clenched into a tight fist, and anger was visible in his eyes.
As Odette ran her hand through the fur of the kitten, the scene of Adrian starting a fight with Dennis fell into her line of sight.
Adrian grabbed on to Dennis’ collar, catching the young boy by surprise, and without a warning, Adrian connected his fist with the boy’s cheek.
Dennis’ eyes widened as he stumbled coupled of steps backward, and he questioned, “What the hell are you doing?”
