Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 66
“How could you do that to White!?” Adrian shouted before throwing another punch at the boy.
However, this time around Dennis was able to catch the fist before the punch was delivered, and the corner of Dennis’ lips curved to form a smirk.
“Isn’t it simple? Because I wanted to win,” Dennis said, “After all, Lady Odette did say that one who has his cat alive is the winner, and isn’t it natural for me to wish to be a winner?”
While tears fell down Adrian’s eyes, he stated, “Even though that’s the case, how can you kill him, You Monster!?”
This was the first time Odette had heard the five year old boy raise his voice this much after being given a second chance. From his tone, it was seen how angered he was.
However, one thing that had caught her off guard was the word ‘Monster’. Surprisingly, it made her feel unsettled and displeased.
If Dennis was called a monster by him, then it definitely meant that she was going to be worst in his eyes, and all of a sudden, she didn’t like the idea of that. A part of her wanted to maintain a pure image in his eyes.
Shaking her head, Odette mumbled, “What nonsensical things are you thinking about? Remember about your original plan.”
Imagining Adrian look at her with those hatred and anger filled eyes did not feel pleasant to her. Although she had been gazed upon with those eyes in her last life, she found it being entirely different this time around.
‘Am I becoming weak and softhearted? No, Odette get a grip yourself. This is just for fun!’
Although she didn’t feel like smiling in that moment, she curved the corner of her lips to form a smile, so that she will be able to make herself belief that she was enjoying this.
“You were quite foolish to start a fight with him like that,” Odette voiced out, staring at the boy who was seated upon the infirmary bed.
After the doctor was done with treating his wound and bandaging the boy up, he left, leaving Odette and Adrian alone in the room.
While Adrian stared at the ground, he said, “I am still not satisfied. I want to hit that Dennis more! How can he do something like that? I didn’t hurt his kitten, but he did the same to mine.”
“Why don’t you do the same as well? Just kill his kitten,” she suggested, “Wouldn’t that be settling everything? Both of you will be on the same page, and he will suffer just like you.”
Adrian’s eyes widened while he raised his head to stare at the female, and he said, “That’s bad! I can’t do that to the kitten.”
“Suit yourself then,” she voiced out, “But don’t get into such fights from next time around. You wouldn’t be able to join the training for few days because of your leg.”
“Sorry, Lady Odette,” the boy vocalised, “But I had to beat Dennis up.”
“You will encounter lots of things in the future similar to this, Adrian. That’s why, it would be better for you to not hold anything dear to you,” Odette stated, “I wanted you to learn this on your own, but I don’t want to see you in pain like this again.”
“What do you mean, Lady Odette?” the boy questioned, confused.
“It seems that you are too young to understand it currently.”
