Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 68
Odette Albinius carefully placed the board in her hand on top of the place the cat was buried at. While her eyes swept across the grave, there were no sorts of sentiments within her.
She did not feel sad or bad for kitten, and as for why she did something so unusual was Adrian. Merely because of how she wanted to provide the boy with a peace of mind, she did something that did not suit her.
“Just come here when you miss White from next time onwards,” Odette voiced out before standing up.
With her hands, she brushed off the dust that had accumulated on her clothing, and her eyes turned cold again at the realization of what she did for the boy.
This was the first time she treated a dead body with this much respect, and it was only due to Adrian.
Curving the corner of his lips, he wore a smile on his face and vocalised, “Thank you, Lady Odette!”
“White, rest here well, alright? I will come to visit you soon,” he added as his eyes lingered on the grave.
“Make sure to be there on time for the training tomorrow,” Odette said before starting to walk.
Odette wanted to consider giving the boy a break because of the emotional attack he had gotten, but she decided against it. Since this was the time he held the most hatred towards Dennis, she wanted to use it as his drive.
If she gave him some time, his anger towards Dennis would only be diminishing, and that would be ruining all of her plans.
Odette wanted for Adrian’s hatred for Dennis to be to the point that he would not hesitate to kill Dennis.
Seeing how Odette was going away, Adrian stood up and stated, “Wait for me, Lady Odette.”
Catching up to the girl, he stood beside her and wiped away the remaining tears from the corner of his eyes.
He then spoke out, “I want to visit my mother’s grave as well. I really miss her.”
The thought of White being buried got him to think of his mother, and the five year old started to miss his mother. Tears started to form at the corner of his eyes at the thought of his mother, and immediately, he wiped them away from the corner of his eyes.
Stopping in her steps, Odette turned to face the boy and said, “Very well, do that then. But before that, you need to become strong enough to escape from this place.”
“Hmm,” Adrian answered, “I will work hard for that, Lady Odette, but don’t you want to run away from this place as well? This place doesn’t make me happy.”
Adrian’s question left her wondering.
Odette was aware of how toxic this place was, and maybe if she had escaped from this place, she would be able to lead a better life. This wasn’t the first time she had thought about this.
Probably around when she was around ten or eleven this thought came to her.
