Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 71
The sun was starting to set as the evening had arrived, and soon enough, it was time for both of them to return home. Although both of them were reluctant, there was nothing that can be done about it.
A wide smile sat on the boy’s face as he turned his head to face the lady and voiced out, “Lady Odette, it was really fun today! Bring me outside some other day as well.”
“Oh my! Look at how brave you are getting. Are you starting to order me around now?” she voiced out light-heartedly. There were no hint of anger upon her face due to how disrespectful his words were.
“You liked it too, Lady Odette! You smiled a lot today,” he pointed out.
“You cheeky brat! Seems like I have to punish you by extending your training time,” she warned.
The boy’s eyes widened at that, and as a gasp escaped from his mouth, he said, “I take back my words.”
Odette grew cautious of her surroundings all of a sudden. A few eyes were following her, and she could feel that they were really close. The roads had started to become empty.
Against some hooligans, she did not think anyone on the road currently had the courage to help them. Moreover, Odette did not believe that anyone had that kind of sympathy within them.
Then again, she was in no position to judge them for she was the same as well.
Nonetheless, there were no signs of panic on her face regardless of the danger. Very firmly she believed that she wouldn’t be killed this easily.
The only reason she hadn’t tried to run away from this place was it because it was useless. Her current speed was too low compared to those who were watching her.
In the end, Adrian and her was destined to be captured by them.
However, if she truly wanted to put in her effort, it would be easy for her to escape from them. But that wasn’t something she wanted to do right then.
She glanced at the boy beside her and knew that he had to grow up. Something like this would be of great help to him in order to let him grow out from his naive self. He was required to know how dangerous his current situation was.
Not wanting to waste time any longer, Odette took a sharp turn at the dark alley way at her left. A smile adorned her face while she did that.
Curiosity was present in Adrian’s eyes while the boy stared at her and questioned, “Where are we going now, Lady Odette?”
“Somewhere fun,” she replied as she winked at the male.
Enthusiastically, the boy nodded.
That’s when, the sound of laughter behind both of them reached into her ear, and two of them turned back at that. At the opening of the alleyway, a middle aged man stood.
His pot belly was exposed to one’s eyes for his shirt did a little to cover it up, and beard cover his entire face, giving him a haggard appearance. The stench of alcohol came from while he scratched the bald spots upon his head.
“Are you two kids lost? This uncle will take you to your house,” he voiced out.
