Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 73
A sharp pain went through her forehead as Odette attempted to open her eyes. The stench of rotten material reached into her nose, making her feel nauseated, and her nose scrunched up slightly.
As she tried to move her hands, she found them being tightly bound by a rough rope, and once her vision was perfect, she realized that she was in an almost dark room. The light that peeped in through the opening was barely enough to brighten the room.
Judging from that, she could see that it was early in the morning.
It didn’t take her much thinking to figure out what was going on. She was probably kidnapped by the people watching her.
Neither did that make her perplexed nor did she find herself being fearful. After all, this wasn’t the first time this had happened to her.
If it wasn’t for the fact that she was distracted due to Adrian, there was no way she would have been captured.
Nonetheless, this was no big of a deal. Other than the fact that this was a huge trouble, the rest did not matter to her.
Turning to her left, she noticed the boy seated beside her on the dirt, and he hadn’t gained his consciousness yet. While he was sleeping, a peaceful expression was visible on his face.
Odette guessed on how they removed the dagger from her. Seeing how meticulous they were being impressed Odette, and the knot around her hand was too complicated even for her. It seemed that they did not underestimate her as a enemy.
Despite of the efforts they put in, this wasn’t enough for them to take advantage of her. Odette regarded all the people who had the courage to kidnap her as a fool!
That’s when, the door before her was pushed open, and raising her head, she gazed upon two males who stepped into the room. They appeared to be mercenaries, judging from the emblem and their appearance.
This meant that they were hired by someone, and as for who might be behind them, Odette would be a fool to use her brain to figure it out. There were too many who would want to destroy the Albinius family.
The muscular man of the two walked closer to her and bent in front of her. There was amusement in Odette’s eyes while the corner of her lips were curved upwards. Such an expression on a young child at this situation managed to take him off guard.
Standing up, he took a step back before starting to laugh and said, “See how you are looking at me. You are truly a monster! Albinius family lives up to its name.”
Being called a monster did not offend Odette. Instead of that, it made her feel proud of herself. It was easy for one to be called a saint, but as for monster, one rarely got the opportunity to get that title. The effort put in was enormous as well. Only the strongest had the privilege to be called a monster.
“It seems that you know I am from the Albinius family, and here I was thinking that you are an ignorant fool.”
