Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 74
The man sneered and stated, “So what? The Albinius family had been arrogant for too long! I wonder what expression that Duke would have once you are killed! Would that heartless monster feel pain after his precious daughter dies?”
Odette did not comment on how the man was getting too ahead of himself.
As for her father rescuing her, there were lower chances of that. Even if Damian Albinius grows aware of her disappearance, she still wasn’t that important in his eyes yet to spend his precious time on her.
Moreover, if she wasn’t able to escape such situations on her own, she was considered useless.
Before her rebirth, it was normal for her to helpless and scared in such situation at an young age. Only merely due to her luck was she able to successfully escape.
That’s why, right now, she trusted her luck over her abilities.
Odette wasn’t special in any way or was she a prodigy when it came to skills in the beginning. It was just that she was a hard worker and endured a lot more coupled with her extremely good luck.
Wasn’t that why she was getting a second chance to go through this?
“Oh! Really?” Odette questioned no fear present in her eyes.
Nonetheless, the way she gazed at the male caused a chill to go down his back. The amusement in her eyes made him feel as if she wasn’t captured by him and was playing around with him.
Those from the Albinius family were truly scary!
“It would be a pity for you to die so soon,” the muscular man stated, “It would appease my soul if you got to suffer.”
Odette merely smiled at the man as he turned his back on her before proceeding to walk out of the room along with his lackeys, making sure to close the door tightly.
This was what Odette was talking about when she mentioned good luck! She even gave the men a chance to kill her! But they weren’t grateful enough to take the free chance offered.
If either of the three would have made a move to kill her, she already made up her mind to let them have the advantage. But due to their further greed, all of their plans would be destroyed.
Odette then realized how the boy beside her stirred before opening his eyes. Confusion clouded his vision as he scanned his eyes through the unfamiliar room. Coldness hit him.
His eyes widened when he realized that his hands were tied together, and fear was immediately visible on his face. Moving his hand around, he tried to get rid of it, but it had no affect other than bringing more hurt to his wrist.
“Stop struggling. You are going to end up hurting yourself if you carry on with that,” Odette advised.
Her voice caught the boy off guard, and turning his head to face her, he voiced out, “Lady Odette! You are here as well! What happened? Why are we stuck here?”
