Second Chance: Raising A Yandere Demon Lord - Chapter 75
Odette succinctly explained, “Earlier, we were kidnapped.”
The fear and panic on his face after those words were clearly visible. Everything that happened last time he was kidnapped to be brought away from his mother ran inside of his mind.
His bottom lip quivered, and as tears were close to forming in his eyes, he questioned, “Will we be fine?”
Odette noticed how the boy did not mention about her killing. This could mean that he tried his best to erase that for he found it frightening, and moreover, seeing how he was a child, forgetting something traumatic wasn’t difficult.
To Adrian, Odette was an important figure, and he didn’t want to hate her.
From the very beginning, Odette was aware of how it won’t be a easy. Getting a child like Adrian to face the reality would be tough, but she wasn’t in a hurry either although she did the earlier killing on a impulse.
For one moment, she considered teasing the boy, but seeing how pale the boy had grown to become, she reminded herself that he was merely a normal five year old. Therefore, she should be more or less considerate of him.
As for why she wanted to be considerate, she had no clue.
Nodding her head, she answered, “Of course! This is merely child’s play for me.”
“Really?” he questioned his eyes holding hope towards the girl.
Without saying anything, Odette reached for the hem of her dress. Her tied hands made it difficult for her to do so, but she succeeded in pulling out her dagger from the garment.
Odette always hid a dagger at the hem of her dress, and the lightweight dagger created specially for her was hard to inspect. Moreover, since she was merely seven year old, no one would go that far when it came to checking even if she was from the Albinius family.
Moving the dagger swiftly, she cut through the ropes that bound her hand before moving on to Adrian. Having his hands released caused a smile to form on his face.
Staring at his hand, he noticed the rope marks on his wrists and proceeded to rub them in order to soothe them.
Odette, on the other hand, moved on to removing the ropes around their legs. Seeing that he was finally free, Adrian hurriedly stood up while excitement was visible on his face.
But due to sitting for a long time, his legs were weak, and the sudden motion caused him to stumble. Holding on to his shoulders, Odette balanced him.
“Be careful,” she voiced out.
“How are we going to get out of here, Lady Odette?” Adrian questioned.
From he was acting, either Adrian was an optimistic child or held way too much trust in Odette. Nonetheless, this was better than a crying child.
There was two way for them to leave. Firstly was through the window. Although the window was high, they could be able to climb it, but the problem lied in the opposite side. One could fracture himself by landing wrongly.
It wouldn’t be a big deal with only Odette, but since there was Adrian with her, this could turn out to be quite risky.
