Second World - Chapter 1906: Facing the Devil Alone
The one who had landed a punch on Asmodeus’ face was none other than Leavemealone. He used the Nine-Yin Abyssal Finger to pierce Asmodeus’ lightning shield, before using Tiger Punch to land the hit.
He was in white tiger emperor form. The form was buffed with both white tiger claws and white tiger rage. Flames enshrouded his body. On his back was a pair of flaming wings. This was not the wings from a wings tool. Both the flames covering his body and the wings were Suzaki’s flames.
Leavemealone didn’t waste the opportunity when Asmodeus was still dazed by the attack. His body spun at high speed as he performed another martial art he learned from Domon, the Whirlwind Kick. Suzaki’s flames followed his movement, creating a flaming hurricane that both empowered the martial art’s power and increased the damage it inflicted. Asmodeus had to take another step back as his heads received repeated kicks.
“Enough!” Asmodeus hollered. A shockwave erupted from him. The force repelled Leavemealone, stopping his assault.
Asmodeus’ bird foreleg came up in the attempt to catch Leavemealone, but Leavemealone’s reaction was fast enough. Leavemealone activated Illusive Form. He left myriad afterimages as he moved away. Asmodeus’ claw only caught his illusion.
Leavemealone stopped a distance away. Petunia and Aneid were stunned by Leavemealone’s sudden intrusion into the fight. They just stood there and watched.
“An outworlder…,” Asmodeus massaged his man-head with his claw. “Do you have a death wish?”
Leavemealone answered by using Ki Bullet. The energy ball he fired was coated in thick fire. It made the Ki Bullet look like a giant fireball.
“Audacious! Since you wish to die so much, let me fulfill your wish!” Asmodeus rushed forward. A swing of his foreleg destroyed the fire-shrouded ki bullet, but Leavemealone was already gone when Asmodeus arrived.
Asmodeus sensed Leavemealone circling behind him. His dragon hindlegs went up attempting a double kick, but Leavemealone’s reaction allowed him to dodge. Asmodeus’ snake-tail followed up by firing a lightning bolt, but that also missed.
Frustrated, Asmodeus chased after Leavemealone. The two went in circles like cat and mouse, clashing at high speed. Leavemealone’s two hands were powered by the Fire-infused Fist. The flames were further boosted by Suzaki’s flames. His punches with all the buffs were strong enough to clash with Asmodeus’ claws. When the two collided, Leavemealone was pushed away but suffered no damage.
His Fire-infused Fist no longer had a duration or cooldown. This was one of the passive abilities of his pinnacle class, the Supreme Fist. His fists would always enshroud in flames as long as combat was ongoing.
Petunia couldn’t believe a single outworlder could make Asmodeus focus his attention. She snapped out of her trance and resumed firing her gunbow while casting a spell. She also yelled at Aneid, who hurriedly resumed healing her.
“Who is that outworlder?” Aneid asked.
“Don’t know…,” Petunia answered. She was displeased at herself for feeling the relief of having someone outside of her faction helping the fight. But after suffering so many losses battling Asmodeus, she had to accept they needed all the help they could get.
Asmodeus and Leavemalone continued to fight at high speed. His two heads on the sides started casting spells. His frontal man-head uttered, “If you think you can face me with just speed alone, you are gravely mistaken, outworlder!”
The spells were completed. A lightning wall appeared behind Leavemealone, cutting his retreat path. On his left, lightning struck down from the sky. He was forced to move to the right.
“Got you!” Asmodeus shouted as he appeared next to Leavemealone. Leavemealone sensed the devil’s approach, but in such a high-speed battle, sensing and reacting had a very short interval. This time, Leavemealone was not fast enough. Asmodeus’ bird claw slammed into him.
He shot like a cannonball and crashed into the ground below.
“You didn’t die from that blow. You are indeed not a typical outworlder,” Asmodeus uttered. His large body dropped at high speed, attempting to stomp on Leavemealone. His serpent tail fired lightning bolts as he descended. Leavemealone shot away before Asmodeus crashed into the ground.
Leavemealone received damage from the earlier slap and the lightning bolts, but not severe. He had activated Battle Monk’s Steel Body before the claw hit. Suzaki’s flames also cushioned the blow, reducing the damage he received.
Asmodeus stared at Leavemealone without a word. While he expected this outworlder to not die from his slap and lightning bolts, he didn’t expect his assaults to have so small an impact. He expected Leavemealone was still pinned in the ground to receive his stomping.
Leavemealone also didn’t waste words. He advanced while activating Meditate. Supreme Fist improved this battle monk’s skill. Leavemealone no longer had to stay static to use Meditate. He could use it while moving. If he didn’t move, Meditate’s effect was tripled. His lost HP was quickly refilled as the skill took effect.
Leavemealone roared as he used Supreme Fist’s level 80 skill, Supreme Hundred Strikes. While Jack’s hundred shadow strikes didn’t live up to its name, this one did. Supreme Hundred Strikes truly conjured a hundred copies of Leavemealone as they rushed at Asmodeus.
These copies came from every direction. Asmodeus couldn’t rely on his speed to evade. Instead, the devil erected three lightning shields around him. Each of his heads was considered a separate individual. They had their own set of spell libraries. All three had magic shields, so they could cast the same spell at the same time.
The lightning shields couldn’t block all angles. Many copies landed hits, but each hit was retaliated by a strike of lightning. Lightning coursed through Asmodeus’ body as the devil used Lightning Suit.
Asmodeus received damage from Leavemealone’s Supreme Hundred Strikes, but nothing serious. His defense was already high, to begin with. After getting reinforced by the Lightning Suit, his defense rose even higher.
“I applaud you, outworlder!” Asmodeus exclaimed as the eyes on his three heads flared.
These six eyes shot dark purple lightning. They moved where Asmodeus stared at. Hence, they were very fast. Leavemealone tried his best to dodge, but one’s body movements could never compete with an eye’s movements. The chaos lightning rays finally caught up. Leavemealone used Ki Shield, a non-standard skill he had learned. The Ki Shield shattered from the impact. He was knocked back to the ground.
Asmodeus had also been casting a spell. Once Leavemealone fell back to the ground, he completed the spell. A lightning cage locked Leavemealone in. Asmodeus rushed forward.
Petunia used a bow skill with a knockback effect and cast a spell to hinder Asmodeus’ charge, but the devil barreled through them. Asmodeus was determined to finish the outworlder this time.
Leavemealone was punching the lightning cage that confined him. His assault showed results but not fast enough. Asmodeus arrived before he could break out. He was about to use another of Supreme Fist’s defensive skills to receive whatever attack Asmodeus was preparing, but an ice net appeared between him and Asmodeus.
Asmodeus slammed his claw into this ice net. The ice net was freezing cold. It tried to freeze Asmodeus’ claw, but Asmodeus broke the net before it could freeze him. Though destroyed, the ice net halted Asmodeus for a breath.
During that time, something fast shot toward Asmodeus. It was a draconian. Asmodeus put up a claw to receive this draconian. The draconian drew a katana from its scabbard in one swift motion. The katana collided with the devil’s giant claw. An explosive shockwave resulted from the impact. The draconian was thrown away, but Asmodeus was also forced to take three steps back.
By that time, the lightning cage had given in to Leavemealone’s punches. Leavemealone jumped away and reunited with his two comrades, Arthur and Blackhole.
Arthur was the draconian who forced Asmodeus back. He combined mana-empowered Iaido with the Avenger’s Raging Strike, which had a strong knockback force.
As for the ice net, it was a spell from Blackhole. The original spell he possessed was lightning net, but the passive ability of his pinnacle class, Ruler of Elementals, allowed him to convert the spells’ elements between ice, lightning, and fire. He knew Asmodeus had a strong resistance against lightning, hence he changed the lightning net to an ice net. The ice element also had stronger endurance to stop an opponent compared to the other two elements.
Aside from giving a special ability to convert between the three elements, Ruler of Elementals’ passive ability also enhanced all elemental damage produced by his spells and decreased all elemental damage he received. This ability was not limited to the three elements of fire, ice, and lightning, but to all elements except soul and chaos.
“You shouldn’t have rushed here to face this devil alone, Haon. This fight is for all of us,” Arthur reprimanded Haon.
“More outworlders…?” Asmodeus stared at the three. He was wondering how three outworlders way above the norm suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
As he had that thought, he sensed a strong incoming attack, but the attack was too close already. A fierce hurricane engulfed him.
The hurricane kept him grounded while multiple slashes hit his body. His lightning suit protected him. The lightning from the suit tried to strike back at the attacker, but the attacker moved too fast within the hurricane. The attacker was already gone by the time the lightning retaliation triggered.
The hurricane attack ended. An orc outworlder was revealed to be the one responsible.
“Your reign of terror is about to end, devil. We will vanquish you!” Four Winds declared.
