Secretly Married To My Professor - Chapter 38

Days have already passed when Louise almost hit Aria in front of the university’s gate. Louise took a peak at his phone for the tenth time already for this day, he was anticipating that an unknown number would call him and it might be Aria but to his dismay, he didn’t receive any call.

On the other hand, Aria was holding her phone and the business card that Louise gave to her. She look at the card and read the name printed on it, Louise Michaelle Severin. She was having a second thought whether, she would call him and ask him for a friendly dinner tonight or not. Aria was dying to try the newly opened restaurant that is not far from their house.

She already asked Ayesha if she could accompany her tonight but she was turned down and Ayesha’s reason was, she will have an advance study lesson for the midterm exam with Knight in their house and Aria being a single woman was poorly left out by her best friend who is already married to their english professor.

She is currently pacing back and forth, faning the business card and practicing on what to say to him. She then type the number written in the business card. Aria was a bit nervous, aside from his brother and father, this is the first time she would call a man which is also a stranger to her.

Louise face lit up when an unknown number popped on his phone screen, he answered the call immediately.

“Hello.” he said in a very deep voice.

“Uhmm hello Mr. Louise, this is Aria Ventura, do you still remember me? I was the girl whom you almost hit in front the school gate few days ago.” Aria said in a very small voice. She was a bit shy to ask but she was quite desperate to bring someone with her so that she could try the new restaurant’s menu.

Louise didn’t answer for a few seconds, his heart was pumping so fast that he felt that it was about to burst.

Aria spoke again, “Hello Mr. Louise are you still there?” she asked when she didn’t receive a reply from Louise.

Louise cleared his throat, “Yes I still remember you Ms. Ventura. May I asked why did you call?” Louise was trying to hide his excitement.

“Uhmm are your free tonight?” Aria asked and Louise immediately check his planner, he have a meeting with someone, it was supposed to be Knight’s meeting but his boss have also some plan with his dear wife and he gave the responsibilty to Louise again.

“Yes, I am free tonight.” he lied, he cannot let this opportunity slip away. He can just cancel his meeting and move it in another day, it’s not an important meeting anyway. “Why did you asked?” he innocently asked.

“Uhmm can you accompant me somewhere tonight? I was just thinking that this might be your compensation for me.” Aria said, she was hoping that he would say yes to her.

“Okay I’ll accompany you. Are we going to a fancy party? Am I going to dress up or fetch you?” Louise asked.

“No no you don’t need to dress up just wear something that you can be comfortable and you don’t need to fetch me. We could just meet at this place at seven sharp.” Aria said the address of the newly build restaurant.

“Okay I’ll meet you at seven.” Louise said.

“Okay, I’ll hung up now Mr. Louise. Thank you again for saying yes. Goodbye.” Aria said and she finally ended the call.

Louise was amiling from ear to ear because this is the first step in knowing her. He then texted his boss.

“Boss, I’ve cancelled the meeting tonight. I have an important matter to attend to. I’ll just call Ms. Shan that we will reschedule the meeting.” he sent his message and not less than one minute he receive a reply and the only reply he got from Knight is “Okay”. He then called the person whom he would supposed to meet this evening, he informed her that they will cancel the meeting and that they will just reschedule it. And of course Louise didn’t forgot to tell the reason why the meeting is cancelled.

He set his phone’s alarm clock to four p.m so that he could go home early and prepare himself and he then went back on working and reading some documents that Knight of course gave to him.

In the garden’s pavillion, the Gonzales family are all present except for Ayesha who is still in her bed sleeping.

Knight was talking happily with Ayesha’s Grandpa, while the other elders where listening to them.

“How are you Knight?” Ayesha’s Grandpa asked.

“I’m doing good Grandpa, how about you?” he asked the old man back.

“I’m doing well. How was your father’s business? Do you have any plan on starting your own business?” the old man asked while pouring some tea for himself.

“The business is doing well Grandpa.” he answered. “For the mean time, I have no plans on starting a business on my own.” he was reffering on exploring a new business, the K.L conglomerate is doing well as for now. The two men continued talking while the others went inside the mansion.
