Secrets of the Universe - Chapter 176
He wasn’t in control of his body. Yet, he found himself scribbling things that only he knew. It was scary to the point that some of the things he wrote down weren’t known to him.
The large scroll was divided into two parts; one on the left and one on the right.
The left section held the same details that were in the right section.
It was on the left-hand side that Jake wrote down his own information.
The first detail he was asked to fill in was his name. Jake easily wrote that down.
He was asked about his age, his cultivation realm, his aspirations, his unique talents.
Jake filled in all that. Of course, He didn’t do it himself. His hand wrote by itself, not even waiting for his thoughts.
He was sure that it was the eye controlling him. He was even more shocked when he listed the [Akashic Eye] under the unique talents tab.
His [Akashic Eye] was a mutation of a normal eye. It wasn’t known to any man. Everyone that saw it tagged it as a special talent, they never would think of its rarity.
However, he expected his secrets to be revealed to the eye, but when it did a scan on him. He understood that it didn’t intrude on his special eye. Yet, it still knew its name.
Going forward, Jake wrote that other details that he didn’t care about.
He moved down the scroll and was asked to fill in a detail that he didn’t have an answer for;
[Race: ]
Yet, he filled it. Whatever he was writing was beyond him, but he was curious as to what his race would turn one to be.
Moments later, he glanced at what he had written. It read;
[Race: Phaent(Inactive), Drakoi(Inactive) ]
This the first time that Jake knew the name of his race. Never in his life had he ever encountered a clue that could potentially reveal his identity.
It was a moment that Jake didn’t know how to express.
He was a hybrid. Moreover, both his races were ‘inactive’. It had always been like this since his birth. Hence, he wasn’t that shocked.
His hands moved on further to the next section below;
[Type: ]
When he was done filling it, it read;
[Type: Son of Chaos(Inactive), Eye of Akasha(Active), Deviant(Active), Azure’s Candidate(Active)].
He was able to understand some of the information he filled in.
Jake later moves his hand down to finish his part of the scroll. He memorized some of the information he filled in as he might never get to see them again.
Later, Jake is moved back by the energy, and the female candidate beside him is moved front.
Like him, Jake was sure she was also compelled to write down all her information.
Due to the gold patterns on the top of the scroll, Jake couldn’t peak at the pieces of information in the upper section, but when she moved below, to the middle section, he saw some.
The two things that intrigued him was the details she filled in;
[Race: Fallen Celestial(Damaged, Active)]
[Type: Dark Celestial(Semi-Active), Deviant(Active), Azure Candidate(Active)…………..]
………..
Jake only focused on one word, Celestial!
It was what he called Cheyenne. What he identified Cheyenne as when he set his sights on her true nature.
However, if going by appearances, then the female candidate looked nothing like Cheyenne. No wings, no halo, and no golden energy that seemed too divine.
Yet, the scroll couldn’t lie. The same as himself, which muttered the name of Cheyenne’s race when he was triggered.
Jake had never thought back to that event. Now, that he looked again, he realized that it was strange to recognize another’s person race without even thinking.
After a brief self-search, he understood that his body was filled with endless knowledge that he couldn’t decipher. If he remembered properly, his mind contained countless secrets that, if he accessed would kill him.
Jake’s mental state had begun deteriorating before that day, but after that, it became worse. Now, he could easily get a minor headache just by walking.
As he was deep in his thoughts, he didn’t realize when the female candidate had finished writing her information.
She got moved back, the same distance as Jake. This made the two enemies look at each other. There were no emotions behind their stares, it was just blank.
The scroll then shines in their face. The golden patterns on it joined together to form two words that Jake could understand.
“Heaven’s Oath,” murmured Jake.
He seemed to understand something just by looking at the word. It was familiar. He was sure he had heard of it before. Yet, he couldn’t recollect, despite his photographic memory.
Looking down where Jake and the other candidate had signed, he saw another signature magically appear below it.
The owner of the Signature only had two names, Rhys Wood!
It was then Jake realized that he had been set up!
Rhys had approached asking him to ally with the other candidate. Rhys has always been well organized to Jake. He had probably known that the two candidates would fight. So, he gave Jake a solution, the golden card.
Jake had always thought when the candidate sees the card. She would not be aggressive to him. However, reality proved different!
The card was never meant to soother the female candidate. Instead, it was meant to force an agreement from both sides. It was the invitation to an oath, a sacred oath that he had no decision over!
He watched as a the tab for the Judge was listed under Rhys’ tab. It was at first left blank, but later a much smaller drawing on the celestial body in front of him appeared on the scroll.
After it was done, the scroll got wrapped by the energy and was later absorbed by the pyramid.
The eye of the pyramid then glanced at the two candidates. It blasted blue energy from its pupil which sent them back to where they came from.
