Seduce the Lord - CH 7
It was like the reaction of a sheep and a carnivore. More stammering words came out of Cesare’s mouth, who was staring blankly at me.
“Hey, you bow down.”
“Why?!”
“Why…who wants you to do something like that? A night out with someone you don’t even love.”
“But the Lord is the Lord. You must obey the law.”
“It’s not you who want to spend the night with me, but your enemy, isn’t it?”
I imagined for a moment, Liam being grabbed by the man and fussing under his tongue. When she remembered Liam’s suffering, she smiled automatically. Cesare was startled by the sly smile of the cow and pulled back even further.
“No, I’m the one who wants to spend the first night.”
“But why… …?”
“Because that’s the promise!”
“It’s only been a while since I became a lord, but no one came to take the first night ticket. There are so many people who are married.”
“That’s it… those people don’t know the law.”
“But you know the law.”
“Yes.”
Cesare looked at me with a low groan.
“I’ll pretend you don’t know, so how about leaving without knowing the law?”
“It cannot be. There is a saying, knowledge is power. I will abide by that law.”
Cesare put on a gloomy expression on my hard-line attitude. Even if you lose your country, you won’t be sadder than me. Are you a person who enjoys sodomy ? So sad?
I barely held onto my weak heart. Either way, I had to work with Cesare. I had to seduce him and run away from Laim’s reach. Cesare, who had been pressing on his temples as if from a headache, opened his mouth.
“I will send someone to the Imperial Palace to see if the law is still in practice. If the answer is yes, then let’s talk again. So you go back. It is late.”
Cesare’s attitude towards me made me impatient.. I couldn’t go back like this. I called him urgently.
“There, my lord…”
Then a knock was heard outside the door. Our gazes went out the door at the same time.
“Lord, be there…”
A white-haired man with a pair of eyeglasses looked at me and stopped in surprise. Few people in this rural town had enough money to wear glasses, so it was probably a housekeeper. When the butler appeared, Cesare’s complexion brightened as if a savior had appeared.
“You have guests. Excuse me.”
“No excuses, come in. I’m the one to go soon. What’s going on?”
