Self Improving - Chapter 6
Two figures stared each other, one man who had a diminutive stature with auburn hair stood whilst in a robe which fluttered about. The other person was in a tracksuit, his relatively longer copper brown hair waving in the air. The one in a robe, wings sticking out from his back, they were white like clouds if they were made of a snow white hares fur. The person in the tracksuit had soft green eyes. Contrasting with the cleanliness of the short fatso, the tall man looked like a mess.
They both were standing on the cracked pavement, their surroundings were dark, and growing duskier still. The moonlight giving a glimpse of anger on the face of the man in the tracksuit with a fierce looking glint in his eye.
The other man was calm and was unmoved by the showy light of determination in the young man’s eyes. The more grizzled fellow seemed to smirk at his show of determination.
They stood in place, a battle of wills ongoing.
“Three.” Counted down the gruff man. The robed fellow moved his body into a stance befitting that of a grandmaster martial artist, it was a stance that he looked well accustomed to. The other one, the young adult in the tracksuit appeared as inexperienced as a newborn pup.
“Two… One…”
“Begin!” The gruff man barked, the moment that was said the young man rushed towards the heavier set fellow. The fat man did not move, he stayed still, unmoving like water.
Comparatively the young man’s moves matched his control over his body, unremarkable. This could easily be seen by the young male in the tracksuit who threw a punch, the shorter one sidestepped to avoid the strike before taking a moment to crack his own neck. Popping noises bouncing off of the pavement he quickly transitioned back into a mood suited for battle. The auburn haired man’s eyes degrading his opponent’s morale.
His every action, unlike the other person across from him with his steely gaze, looked pathetic, the person in the robe took a step back, his footwork masterful and light.
It was as clear as day to see who was winning and who was losing.
The male in a tracksuit was extremely disadvantaged in this battle. Yet to land a blow the prospects of this battle failed to blow out ever so slightly the fat man’s motivation to battle. Sighing, the fatter man extremely quickly glided off the ground. His feet no longer on the pavement ready to land a strike on the unfortunate fellow who had to be his opponent.
Scraping across his cheek, the fat man’s strike flew towards the taller man’s face. Scratches multiplied instantaneously, some of the nicks and cuts appeared on his arms, shoulders, and legs from the consecutive strikes.
“You’re a fat fuck.” The young man yelled. The shorter man who was robed cracked his knuckles, veins on his forehead seemed to bulge out before they disappeared as soon as they had been seen.
“Your words have no use on this Daddy. I have heard worse. My anger is hard to bring forth, to unleash it on you by an action of your own is making me think you want to have a death wish. Speak never again of those words and this battle may leave your corpse already ready for burial.”
“Words are as plentiful as stars, so spare me the bullshit. Who would survive a direct clash with one who has as much power as you that’s human?” replied the younger man.
The man who looked as clean as a new bar of soap looked pleased with his words.
“No one, not against this Daddy.” His voice full of pride.
The other person’s mood sunk, the young adult in the tracksuit sulked before reclaiming their hint of passion, whilst even deeper was an acceptance of the circumstances that had been laid before him.
“I see, then I will fight with my all.” He stated, his eyes staying on their target without moving an inch.
“I have seen you’re all. You just received access to the Candidate System. Your capabilities are as large as a fly’s at best. Daddy is not your equal he is your superior’s superior. Damn rat.” Growled the fatty.
“We shall see who is the rat, and who is the cat. Spoiler alert, I am-.”He said, his eyes glowed with satisfaction as if they were saying ‘I will prove it to you bitch’ he was quickly interrupted, his eyes briefly appeared sorrowful.
Indignation appeared on the face of the fatter fellow, he clenched his fists before flying towards the taller younger human.
Before that even happened the adult in the tracksuit fell to the ground as if he were a ragdoll. The man in the robe appeared over him on the ground,
The fatter man was now standing over the man in the tracksuit, sadness crossing the perimeter of his eyes as he looked down on the man who was on the ground.
“It’s been fun.” Stated the standing man glumly.
“Likewise.” The adolescent made an amiable smile as he spoke before the spirit in the man’s eyes disappeared.
Sighing the man in the robe, with auburn hair gave in to his destructive impulses and let loose his fist that went towards the young adult.
Time seemed to freeze as the young man closed his eyes. This assured the fat man of the tall mans fate.
Or that was how it was supposed to be.
Shuttling downwards the fat man’s fist as it was about to make a hole in the ground shook was a shriek, unbefitting that of a man with great power. Retrieving his arms, the fatso covered his privates. He stared at the should-be corpse with refusal in his eyes along with a colossal amount of pain.
The young man was not yet a goner, even more, surprising was the recent injury to his privates he just got dealt. He just got kicked in-between his legs.
“Meow.” The young man muttered playfully, a shit-eating grin spread across his face.
Shock remained on the robed fatty’s face.
Before the robed fatty could recover, he saw a glowing knife – A sword that was sharpened on his own grindstone! He now regretted bestowing upon the lanky young man.
He felt an even more considerable amount of regret as he perceived something piercing his skin. “Damn cat, look for another rat to play with! This is not the rat that you should be messing with!”The auburn haired man roared.
The taller man in the tracksuit took out the knife from the robed geezer’s skin. Grabbing something nearby made the robed man shake his head in equal measures amusement and frustration.
“Think you can make it in time for your funeral reception?” said while the young man who held a trashcan chortled questioningly.
He could only think inwardly ‘Are you really only a cat, are you sure you are not a demon in disguise?’
Tried another perspective. As always, let me know of any errors that I made.
