Serendipitous Wedding. - Volume 1 Chapter 10

“Well ladies and gentlemen! It’s no surprise! The award for the best female actress goes to the beautiful and talented, my personal favourite, Miss. Claira Woostock!” Jack announced happily over the microphone and then, himself clapping for the girl.

Claira hugged her friend excitedly, pretending to be in a shock. She walked up the stairs, waving happily at the audience. The entire hall was now errupting in the voice of the claps for the girl.

Claira smiled half heartidly at Jack, walking upto her. Jack immediately placed his hands on her arms, giving her a formal hug. “Congratulations! You look gorgeous by the way!” He handed out the award to the girl.

Claira nodded taking the award from his hands, not even speaking a ‘Thank you’ to Jack. But it did not matter to Jack at all. Claira was just standing a few inches away from him, and he just wanted to gape at her from head to toe like a star struck teenager. None of her rude behaviour effected him at all.

She thanked everybody sweetly over the microphone and then went off back towards her seat alone, not even waiting for Jack to come along.

As per the usual practice, the two people had to walk hand in hand gracefully, and climb down the stairs and sit in their respective chairs.

But Claira was already speeding off down the stairs all alone, avoiding being with Jack. Jack smiled at the audience happily and waved at them once again, coming down the stairs too, eventually sitting on his seat.
