Shadows By Day Hunters By Night - Chapter 5 Episode 5 Hunters Ahead

Cole opens the door slowly. It made no sound as it did. As it did though a rotten smell hit us both.

“Listen we need to split up. I know that sounds like a bad idea but it’s the only one I got. Unless you have something?” Cole looks at me.

‘I hated that plan! But to be honest I didn’t have a better one’ I sigh. “Yeah..lets go with that”

He nods as he goes to the steps. “I’ll check upstairs. You go around the bottom. Okay?”

I nod. “Yeah.”

“Izzy..”

I look at him.

“Be careful..” He smiles. “Please…”

I smile back at him. “I promise..”

He walks up the stairs.

“Safe? How am I suppose to stay safe in a house that a old lady and some animals died in?” I groan. I was man. ‘I didn’t know why but I just was. I wanted to punch something!’ I felt my cheeks burn. I felt like I was going to blow up.

“IZZY!”

I stopped. Someone yelled my name. “Cole!” I rush up the stairs. As soon as I did I heard banging sounds. ‘Cole! He needs me!’ I come to a long hall way. Doors went all the way down the hall. “Which door?” I panic.

“IZZY!” Cole screamed again.

I ran down the hall opening all the doors. When I opened the last one I saw Cole standing there. He was standing in the middle of the room facing the wall. “Cole?” I slowly walk up behind him. “Cole are you okay?” I put my hand on his shoulder. As I touch him I felt his body. It was cold. I quickly turn him around. When I do I put my hand to my mouth. His eyes were pure black. Like before. “NO!” I run out the room. I go to run down the stairs when something pushes me. I fall on my arm as I hit the ground. Tears ran down my face. I go to get up but I fall right back. I look down at my leg. It was bent in an unnatural way. I had broke it. I look up the stairs to see Cole. He walked down smiling. He smiled in a creepy way. His eyes still black. I yelled, “What do you want?”

Cole smiled. And added a laugh.

I was scared.

“Do you know who I am?” Cole said laughing.

“I-I don’t know!” I say trying to look passed my leg being broke.

“You stupid little girl! I’m your worse enemy!” He got closer to me. “I’m a shadow..”

“What do you mean by shadow?” I look up at him.

“You really don’t know?” He says thinking.

“No! I don’t! Ow!” I scream when he steps on my broken leg. I cry more.

“Yes. Your pain feeds me!” He laughs. “I’m a shadow. Well the pain shadow. I feed on your pain. I desire it!” He smiles as he gets off my legs.

Something clicks in my brain. ‘If I’m in pain that means I am weak. But if I’m not than this thing will probably become weak and so maybe I could defeat it? And maybe Cole could come back. Who cares! I’m going to try!’ I try my hardest to not focus on my leg.

“What are you doing?” He asks bending over me.

I ignore him.

“Hello? If you don’t stop than…” He begins to say when some man comes in and hits him.

“COLE!” I yell in fear. ‘Even if he was possessed I still cared about him!’

Suddenly, two girls walk in. One tall with long dark purple hair. She had an owl on her shoulder. The other was shorter. Her hair was a short pink. She had a mouse in her fanny pack.

“Get this one..” The tall one said.

The pink haired girl went to me. “Hello..”

I baked away. “No!” ‘I didn’t know these people and I didn’t want them to touch me.’

“Let me help..” She smiled.

For some reason her smile was warm. I shake my head. “No..” I look over at Cole. He was pinned to the wall. “Please don’t hurt him..” I say.

The pink haired girl looks over at them. “You heard her!”

The man dropped Cole. He turned to us. His hair was a orange and red color. He was very muscular. Suddenly, a small pig ran in and went to his feet.

I looked at Cole. He was passed out on the ground. I look up at them all. “Who…who are…” My vision starts to get fuzzy. I suddenly see black.
