She Knew She Loved Him(Completed) - Chapter 118:Meeting the Enemy
Alex brushed the short strands of hair covering her ear behind it, planted an affectionate kiss on her earlobes then whispered;
“And I love you…”
“You know you did not have to come see me back, right?” She raised her brow at him.
“Mhm, I know but I was worried…Do you have any more appointments?” His reply was so sexy and mellow it made her heart that had calmed down erratic.
“Nope, but I need to head back to get my files ready for tomorrow. I have more sessions than I did today. Is everything okay?”
“Mhm…I’ll drive you back. We can get the files and you can work at home. I have somewhere to take you.”
“Another surprise? I’m beginning to think you’re the king of surprises.” She giggled as she got into the passenger’s seat.
“Ha-ha, honey you have no idea. I have one last surprise for you. And maybe then I’ll stop.”
“Ho-ho, you don’t have to stop. I honestly love when you surprise me. Makes me feel like a princess. Hmm, is this trip a surprise?” She eyed him from where she sat.
“Uhm, I won’t say it’s a surprise, but I found the person responsible. Tami was just a pawn. She got angry at you because Carson rejected her and thought it was your fault. She knew he had feelings for you since high school. She was taken advantage of during her weak moment. Talia was the one who gave them away. Talia also admitted she knew they were planning something. But she was hoping they would remove you from the picture so she could step in. I’m not sure what to do about Talia. We can let the police deal with her. After all, she did not get physically involved.”
“Darling do you know of Talia’s personality disorder? I think she needs to take a break from the entertainment industry and get help. Her therapist is a really good friend and came to me for help. I had to turn him down. Talia has way too much pride to agree with me treating her.”
“Yeah, I found out a while back. We can try to convince her.”
“Yes… some way. If not, she needs a time out and I can speak to my brother about giving her an extended vacation.”
“Mhm…”
The car went silent as each was caught up in their own thoughts.
A few moments later, it was Alex who spoke.
“Honey, Uhm, d-did he confess to you? C-Carson…” He peeked at her after asking.
“Ohh, was this why you were uneasy today? Because you knew what he was up too…” She playfully slapped his arm.
“Well, how could I not be anxious and jealous when some handsome guy planned to confess to my wife.
“He-he, so you were jealous. So cute!” She teased him
“I was not jealous…I was just worried.”
“Yeah, yeah; I heard you loud and clear.”
“Mhm…” was all he replied.
Zunnie chuckled. She vowed to tease him again about this incident. He was too adorable for her to completely forget what had happened today.

She looked through the window and noticed they were driving away from the city. Alex was currently driving down a long winding road that seemed like it was never-ending.
Curious to find out what he had planned this time, she questioned him; “Darling where are we going?”
“Ah, we’re going to see the mastermind behind our accident. She’s in pretty bad shape, but I made sure to keep her face untouched for just you.” Her eyes grew dark hearing his reply.
She had been waiting to find out who had almost killed her. Hearing that today was finally the day to get revenge she looked forward to it. The warm and cheerful aura that had been sipping through her pores turned ice cold and she was now filled with hatred. Hatred because even if she was out of the picture, the idiot who almost took her away from Alex would never be able to replace her or fill the space she held in Alex’s heart.
“Hmm, interesting. I’m looking forward to the curtains being pulled open.”
She reached out her hand and held onto free his, they were large, manly and somewhat cozy. She squeezed it with her delicate fingers and turned her gaze back to the lush greenery to her right.
“It’ will be open soon. You can do whatever you want except kill.”
“Ok…”
