Shen Yue Reborn - Chapter 3 Disciple Greets Master
Sitting on a tiled roof under the moonlight of the midnight moon; Shen Yue was looking at the stars filling the night sky.
Shen Yue was slightly depressed for many reasons, first one being that he didn’t get to say goodbye to his family and that he’ll never see them again. The other being that he knows the fate of this body, Shen Yue will die…he will die. All of this just because the being known as author manipulated his fate, his mind into becoming a freak that is a stepping stone for a b*tch. Coupled with the fact that an emotional song is running through his mind, this causes Shen Yue to release a single tear whilst smiling under the moon.
“ha…Mom and Dad, little bro and little sis. I will return home one day just you wait. Right now I have to survive this dangerous world by becoming strong. With the help of master, I will definitely become the strongest.” smiled Shen Yue.
[Flashback to after Shen Yue finished thousand hammerings][
“Impressive, the will and determination that you have shown throughout this trial have impressed me. I here by declare you my disciple, bow three times so that you recognised me as master.”
“Yes master!” said Shen Yue quickly as he wanted to become his disciple so that he could learn how to earn his own money by making weapons that he could sell without the need of his family, who will one day disappear from Glory City.
Shen Yue needs to learn how to make money so that he can be sustainable, a cultivator without money is a phoenix without wings. Money is needed so that he can buy resources, hire underlings, eat good food and other daily necessities, without money he’d be a beggar with a strong body. That’s why a job as an artisan will help him make good and constant income for many years.
Bang!Bang!Bang!
Shen Yue bowed/kowtowed so fast that his head smashed against the rock hard floor but Shen Yue didn’t notice it.
“Kid…are you alright.” Master Kang went up to Shen Yue and caressed his head hoping it would make Shen Yue feel better. (like when you hurt yourself, you touch the place you hurt yourself to feel better)
“I’m fine master.” beamed an excited Shen Yue, “Now, when will you start teaching me about how to make artifacts, I really want to make god level weapons and armour.” Said Shen Yue passionately as if he was a child (he is a child).
Bang!
Shen Yue received a fist on top of his head from Master Kang. Then he felt a hand brush on top of his head, caressing it again gently. Shen Yue looked up and saw Master Kang had a smile on his face.
“Kid…making artifacts is not easy as you think, you surly know that, I had a friend that died trying to make a divine artifact. I love your passion for artifacts but listen, don’t strive to make god level artifacts, instead, be concentrated on putting everything you have in the smallest of things to create greatest of things. The best divine grade artifacts were not made with the best quality ingredients they were made with common things, strive to make the best out of the little only then will you be able to make artifacts suitable for a god. You have lots to experience before you can become a master like me.”smiled Master Kang.
Shen Yue suddenly realised that he was in the wrong, “I’m sorry master, I was so excited that I said something disrespectful. I just feel really happy having a master, who could teach me how to make artifacts.”
“It’s alright. A kid can be happy, I’m not trying to ruin your childhood. I only lectured you so that you can learn, your passion is great, use that passion to create the best.” Master Kang walked away,” Be sure to come tomorrow early in the morning”
[End of flashback]
When Shen Yue came back home, his father was furious at him, he was ready to shout at him for being so late but decided not to as he saw that by the face Shen Yue was making, he was not feeling well.
“Yue’er, what’s wrong?” asked Shen Yue’s dad Shen Hong
“Nothing, I’m just very sleepy.” said Shen Yue as he yawned.
“Then you can just go to bed. We’ll talk tomorrow.” said Shen Hong like a caring father.
“Yes father.”
Shen Yue walked away from the hall and went to his room, umped on his bed and went to sleep.
The very next day…
Shen Yue woke up ready and refreshed for the new day, right now he had to hurry up and go to Secret Treasure Pavilion to learn from his master.
Shen Yue was running through the house and courtyard, a certain fatty was in his view, Chang Jiao Rao was talking to one of the servants, it seems as if he was bullying them until he noticed Shen Yue and went up to his young master.
“Young master! Why didn’t you eat the dishes I prepared for you yesterday? I put in all my hard effort in yet not a single one was eaten…so as to not waste it. I ate it, it was delicious.”
“Sorry, sorry, Chang Jiao Rao, I was busy yesterday and didn’t come home till midnight, this time, I’ll come ready and won’t forget it this time. Be sure to make a big and good feast otherwise, you’ll be dinner.” said Shen Yue jokingly, trying to bully the fatty.
“You can’t be serious young master!? All I have is dirty flesh that has no nutrients and bones that are unedible.” joked Chang Jiao Rao.
Whilst Chang Jiao Rao was talking, Shen Yue was already running for the Secret Treasure Pavilion without the fatty even knowing. So when he looked at where he was talking with Shen Yue before the young master was already gone. The fatty was like ‘young master, where’d he go?’ like when you look at the person you turn your head for a second and then they are magically gone.
” Boy! You are three minutes late! Whatever the reason, lateness will be punished. But I will let you off this time if you give me a good reason.” smiled the old man.
“I was so excited yesterday about learning forging that I couldn’t sleep until late at night. I had to rush when I woke up.”
Master Kang nooded simply.
“Disciple greets Master”
“Good now come, I’ll teach you about smithing.” as both the old one and young one head in to the depths of the Secret Treasure Pavilion.
