She’s Not Our Daughter! - Chapter 54.2
Chapter 54 – My Sister Is Being Charged With Murder
[‘Sister can’t kill a person, or even a child. I mean, you only kill bad guys.’
‘Sierra, whatever your sister does later….’
‘Hmm!’
‘You trust your sister, right?’
‘Yes, my sister is a warrior of justice!’
‘I’m happy. Yes, please think of it that way.’]
Recalling her older sister who smiled sweetly, she steeled her heart and glared at Ijiel.
“Well, alright. First of all, I understand the reason. That was because I am with Duke Ideos.”
“….”
“However, what does it have to do with the kidnapping and murder by an Archmage or something?”
Sierra’s heart grew colder.
‘It would be quite difficult if he knew the connection between me and my sister, so I would have to erase his memory.’
Unfortunately, Sierra didn’t bring any memory erasing potion today. She lamented about her readiness and stared at Ijiel’s mouth. With all her expectations. Ijiel’s mouth twitched open.
“I infiltrated under the orders of the Imperial Princess, but I found out that you are close with Abel, the guard dog of the Magic Tower.”
I didn’t know Abel would hold me back. Sierra gulped as she stared at him with a puzzled expression. Ijiel then smiled with his beautiful smile.
“First of all… Abel of the Magic Tower was also on the list of the most powerful dragons. There was even information that he had a close relationship with the Archmage Amil. But I assume you have a profound relationship with Abel, Sierra.”
“Uh, so?”
“Being the guard dog of the Magic Tower wasn’t enough, and he was also related now with Duke Ideos. That’s too much for a commoner to make such a connection.”
“So, what now?”
“That’s interesting. I was a little curious about this and that, so I researched more about you. Except for Duke Ideos and the Magic Tower’s guard dog, you’re a commoner through and through. That part was more interesting.”
“… Because I stimulate your attraction?”
As Sierra had the final word, Ijiel whispered in a dismayed voice.
“I was just trying to figure out who you are.”
He blinked and raised one corner of his mouth again. Sierra nodded and folded her arms forward.
“So, how do you feel about getting revenge on me right now?”
“Well… as you can see, it’s just like this right now, d**n it.”
He muttered in a strange tone of voice and chewed on his lips. Sierra chuckled and ruffled her hair.
“By the way, you said you were suspicious of Abel, that’s why you tracked me down.”
“… And so?”
“Wouldn’t you know about me if you had investigated Abel? Like what kind of personality I have.”
Sierra looked sharply at Ijiel. She walked right in front of him, stroking his light green hair tenderly, and forcefully whispering to him.
“I am obviously nice. I don’t do anything bad. I am also a bright person.”
Sierra’s fingertips touched his jawline before she drew her hand away completely. Momentarily blinded by her, Ijiel replied flatly.
“That’s something you don’t know.”
But even Sierra had no intention of backing down.
“Anyway, if the search for the Archmage Amil was narrowed down, wouldn’t the suspicions about Abel seem to have been dispelled?”
Ijiel smirked at Sierra’s powerful question. The corner of his mouth was smiling but he was clearly taken aback.
“You got it right. Of course, doubts about Abel have not been completely dispelled. However….”
He smiled softly and drove a nail.
“… I am now interested in new people.”
‘Who is it now?’ Sierra frowned and looked at him.
“I’m going to observe you from now on, Sierra. A little more obvious now.”
He smirked as he wriggled his paralyzed fingertips. Sierra listened absentmindedly to his words and looked at the watch on her wrist.
‘There’s only ten minutes left before the effects of the general paralyzing potion will wear out.’
She smiled lightly and said, “Why, are you going to hit on me again?”
“Well, shouldn’t I get ready for that first?”
He smiled softly.
“I think that’s going to be a lot of fun. Plus, I was thinking about confessing the whole truth one by one.”
Sierra blinked. It was about time for her to leave, but the man grabbed her by the ankle. Her eyes sharpened thinking that he might be preparing for a counterattack.
“Uh, what is it?”
Sierra crossed her arms. Her pose was telling him that she would pay him back twofold if he did something to her.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a while…” His throat rang, “I think I sort of fell for you.”
After all the talking, Ijiel looked up to her, still standing stiffly. She was willing to leniently accept it if he plans on spitting on her.
‘What kind of new crazy concept is this now? What emotions are highly likely he was showing?’
Sierra furrowed her brows and shrugged her shoulders, whispering to him seriously.
“What can I do? I’m really not interested in you.”
Sierra responded in a refreshing way by gently pressing the back of his hand.
“Keep that in mind, if you want to follow me.”
“I have no intention of following you around.”
A sweet smile that seemed to melt even the Snow Queen on a winter day spread across her lips.
“Admire me, and keep bringing me pieces of information.”
“Admire you?”
“Yeah, wouldn’t that make me feel better to talk to you?”
He smiled lightly and nodded his head.
“First… I will pay you a respectful visit soon. Miss Sierra.”
Sierra shrugged. She couldn’t do anything except accept him. It’s obvious that Cassius would throw Ijiel out if he even tried to approach her.
“Don’t even think about using this pretty face.”
She grinned as she put her hand to his chin.
“More than what you think, I am….” Sierra said in a low voice as she gently stroked his jawline with her index finger, “I am a lot higher than you think.”
A spark flashed in his eyes. Sierra grinned and pushed him back by his shoulders. She then threw the magic tool she had prepared on his chest.
“This is a magic tool for communication. The potion’s effect will be lifted in a moment. See you soon.”
As she sweetly whispered to him, she turned around and walked away. It certainly seemed like it was necessary to have that talk with Ijiel.
‘I think that b*st*rd is the key to connecting with my sister for some reason.’
Since he told her that he was tracking down her sister, he obviously had all kinds of information.
‘For now… I need all the information that man has about my sister.’
I think I’ll be able to find my sister hopefully soon. Perhaps I can get a chance to ask her about the unsightly stigma on her of being a kidnapper and a murderer. Sierra’s optimistic imagination stretched out one by one.
