She’s That Knight Known As Zero - Chapter 263
People brought out every food they have and the festivity was located in the plaza square, located right in the middle of the kingdom. During festivities this place was used for the celebration.
The ascension of a new king should have been celebrated in the castle but what happened today was out of the ordinary and so even its celebration was uncommon.
Just as the festivity reached its peak. Raven who had been on the sidelines without anyone really noticing him, walked towards the center where Kaoru was.
“Raven,” Kaoru called happily, he was already a bit drunk.
The name was obviously renowned by the people, adding to the fact that the news group have already seen him, everyone fell quiet and looked at him march towards the center.
“I have come as a representative of the three kingdoms,” he took out a parchment.
“To the Hesperian people. We the three kings extend our help to your kingdom. As one of us, now that Kaoru is your new king, we will not hold back and help you in every possible way. We will be sending you with knights that could help with your security and help with the training of upcoming knights.”
“We will be sending you with people that could help you in improving your livelihood. People that could help the kingdom establish your new rules and laws. We will be sending you with crops and equipments for you to have a better start.”
“Kaoru have sent us the current condition of your kingdom and we all deeply apologize that we overlook such critical problem. So with all we got we will do our best to help you stand back up your feet.”
“Sincerely signed by the three kings of the three kingdom.”
After Raven finished reading the letter, another round of applause and roars were heard. No one knew how much difficulty they are facing right now. The sudden disappearance of the abilities that they relied on didn’t give them time to adjust.
Crops would wither, equipments were destroyed easily, the laws were confusing and their livelihood was at the bottom.
Even before the war, because of their past king, they have been in complete poverty. They thought they had escaped it after they found themselves alive and the kingdom still standing, yet their acting chief was actually just as greedy as the ones in the past.
But for the first time in a long while, they finally felt alive. Kaoru had shown them gentleness and ruthlessness deserving of a king.
A ruler couldn’t be too kind or the people would suffer. At the same time they couldn’t be too ruthless or the people would retaliate. There should also be balance with the way they handle such things.
After his announcement, Raven was planning on going back in the sideline but was pulled by the generals and captains. They were interested in his capabilities as one of the pillars ending the war.
The festivity only ended when dawn started breaking. Raven helped Kaoru back to his lodging and helped him with his wounds. He was in terrible shape yet he still had the energy to party until dawn. Raven could only shake his head.
As he watches the sun rising.
“True peace, maybe we really would be able to achieve your greatest desire. *sigh* I miss you, I truly do. This is something you started, yet why is it that you are not the one witnessing it?”
With another sigh, he watched as the world welcomed another day. A brand new beginning.

Kaoru was suddenly thrown into a pile of work after waking up that day. To make it more frustrating, the one guarding him was Raven.
“The king have tasked me to make sure that you have to do your work properly, especially the preliminary part of your ascension,” he seriously said as he pull Kaoru to the castle.
It was also him who called for the remaining generals and captains. And these people were also in a lazy mode. Raven’s eyes were the only ones that made them wide awake for the very first morning meeting of the new reign.
They had idolized this young man last night, for the first time they met one of the pillars. But they are silently cursing him now, they still have such massive headache from last night. Who would have thought that a certain someone would knock on their doors after three hours of sleep.
He stood there waiting for them despite them saying that they will follow, having no more options they could only bitterly fix themselves up and follow him to knock on the door of the next person.
After fetching them, a line of zombies were walking behind him and people who woke up early couldn’t help but to suppress their laughters. For the first time in a long while someone domineering enough came to their kingdom and get those proud knights to follow him.
Raven have brought out everything that Akihiro have prepared before hand. It was doc.u.ments to help them in the beginning of their kingdom. They had the examples for taxes, wages, laws, regulations and many more.
Kaoru was pouting all through out, “My brother even though he was not here he is still a demon and you *points at Raven* you are the substitute of that niece of mine aren’t you? You’re also a demon, demon, demon, demon.”
The generals and knights looked at Kaoru astounded, where did the monster during the challenge went to? Why is there suddenly a childish person in front of them?
Raven looked at these shock people before pointing at Kaoru, “Yes, that is your next problem. This is the real character of your new king. Beware of having more than necessary works in your tables in the next two to three months.”
“Hey don’t go dirtying my name in front of my people. I am a grown up man, I know what I should do,” Kaoru defended.
Raven nodded as he placed another bunch of doc.u.ments in front of Kaoru, “Then finish these doc.u.ments by the end of the day. If you really are competent as you have said then I know you would be able to finish this before the sun sets.”
Kaoru looked in horror alternatingly between him and the doc.u.ments before his eyes became teary eyed, “YOU’RE A DEMON!!”
Even the generals and knights felt the same way. Is this how they work at Aurora kingdom? Or even at Confederate and Archic?
No one could blame these people, the past kings and higher ups were in cahoots to rule all over the world that the management was filled with them and them alone.

She didn’t know how long it has been, she could only run around in circles. Her surrounding was filled with darkness. Nothing but pitch black surroundings. No matter how fast or how far she runs, she never reach anything.
When she realized it, she was already there wearing only a simple long sleeve white dress.
There were times where she would see lights, sometimes there’s many, other times there’s only one. Sometimes they’re dim, other times they’re bright. But just as she was about to get close it would disappear.
There are times where she would get close and hear their voices but before she could touch it, it was gone.
The last time she saw one and heard the voice was when he said, “I miss her, funny, I never thought I would ever feel this way. But I was actually just kidding myself for I truly miss her and I have regretted it.”
“Not telling her how much I love her and stayed waiting.”
Her tears flowed none stop upon hearing it and just like before just as she was about to touch it, the bright light disappears.
“I am regretting it too, regretting so many things that involve you. And I am trying, trying my best to come back. I really am..” she sat on the floor as she covered her face, her tears flowed.
Just for now, she will cry and bring out everything, then she will stand back up and search for the way in order to return to them, return to him.

“It ended quite well. But it’s not as fascinating as I thought. Well its passable.”
He was lazily leaning on the tree trunk as he sat on its branch. He was once again playing with a stick, twirling it with his fingers. His feet was swinging as he watches the sun as it rises.
“Another five months and the first batch would slowly dissipate. 4 and a half years, would you really be able to return? I can see that you yourself are still running mindlessly in that world known as dreams.”
He smiled as he whip the stick forward, “I say, you really are something. To make me do so many things.”
*”Since you’re already here, why not wait a little longer and do a few things more? A condition you utter is enough to make you do it. And me knowing who you are is a condition that would stop you from your entertainment.”*
He then laughed after remembering her bold words, “You are the first person to actually be able to make such demands to me, the almighty one.”
