She’s That Knight Known As Zero - Chapter 287
The man was shocked, just as the sword was about to hit her, she had stopped it with her bare hands.
Blood dripping as she clenched it tighter. It was not that she directly stopped it with her bare hands as it hit downwards to her. But that her hand came from the side, giving her less injury for catching it.
She slowly stood up as she placed Hikari behind her. The aura surrounding her have changed tremendously. As if the one before and the one standing right now were two different people.
Her eyes was that of a cold one, a very very cold one. Something he felt like he have seen before. With a pull, Eureka was able to take his sword away from him, maybe due to the shock, she was able to pull it away from him.
And with a flip, she was already holding the hilt. She was looking at him as if she was looking at a dead person. He couldn’t help but gulp.
After becoming a rebel, he never felt this fear before. Even the first time he saw this person all he felt was hatred as if she had done something so bad to him. Something he couldn’t remember.
But the fear he was feeling now was too strong that he actually took a step back as he look at her. She was smaller than him buut he felt like she was far taller, far superior.
“Close your eyes,” Eureka gently said to Hikari who was still trembling behind her.
Hikari followed her without asking anything. Though she also felt that the surrounding air have changed drastically after her sister was pushed to the corner, where both their lives were already in critical danger.
She knew of her sister’s strength from the past. She had asked all those close to her about how she had fought all those times, despite being too young, she was way smarter than other kids her age.
Most of them said one thing to her, “She was someone always drenched in blood as if taking a bath out of it. So when she fights and you are there to witness it, make sure to close your eyes. So that you won’t have some nightmares.”
She thought she wouldn’t experience what they were talking about. But seeing her sister’s sudden change in aura. She knew this one was the original, the one bwho was once known as teh copy of Death God himself.
Seeing as Hikari closed her eyes, Eureka’s eyes returned to the man in front of her and with a smirk, all everyone saw was a flash.
The man or the people around him couldn’t even utter another word.
He could only see his surrounding spinning before he fell to the ground. And right in front of him, was his headless body with blood splurting out of his neck.
The blood showered down after spraying out of his body, some of it have showered down on Eureka. She had already placed her cape on Hikari not allowing the blood to drop on her.
Even with this, Hikari still didn’t open her eyes but the strong smell of blood made her frown.
“Bare with it for now,” she heard Eureka’s gentle voice as she silently nodded her head.
Eureka, on the other hand, had no care whether this place would be filled with blood or not. Her whole being looks like it was thirsty of it instead.
Not long after everything turned black for the man she threw out of the kingdom in the past. Eureka looked at the other nine with him, her eyes was so cold they couldn’t help but to have a step back.
Upon realizing this, they gripped their swords tighter. Not even to the other knights they have fought have they felt this way. Not even towards Raven who was always interrupting their plans.
“Wh- Who are you??” one man asked.
They knew this person is very dangerous, with how she easily decapitated their leader. Surely her speed and strength isn’t something that allowed them to relax even for a bit.
But wasn’t she just an aide? Wasn’t she just someone who came to the kingdom? No one have heard of her name before. Or have heard of such a monstrous knight before.
Without uttering another word, Eureka moved with lightning speed. The man who asked soon heard his subordinates shrieking one after another.
When she reappeared in front of him, he slowly looked around, only to see their bodies having a part removed. Some were their arms, the others were their legs. No one was spared.
He looked back at her in horror as he started trembling. Sweat dropped from his jaw, the moment it dropped to the ground, he watched both his arms flying in front of him. She was at a close range and her eyes were the coldest he have ever seen.
“I- Is it fine for me to open my eyes now?”
Hikari’s words snapped Eureka out of that personality. The first thing she saw was her hand holding the sword, then her body that was drenched in blood before seeing all ten of her enemies down. Some of them have already fainted from the pain. While the last man was looking at her in horror.
Eureka dropped the sword as she trembled in fear, she didn’t exactly know what had happened. She felt her body move but everything was in a blur. Upon returning to her senses everyone was already down and blood was everywhere.
Hikari who didn’t get any response slowly opened her eyes and was truly shock with the scene in front of her. But her focus was entirely on Eureka who was shaking her head as she look at her hands in horror. Not long after she had fainted, the fear and the pain caused her to fall unconscious.
If it was someone else, they would have already fainted from the scene, but her focus was entirely in Eureka that she had not taken in her surrounding.
“SISTER!!”
The shrieks have allowed Raven and the others to get close to the place and Hikari’s shout brought them where they were.
Feena and Azusa gasped upon seeing the scene before them. The guys had a sharp intake of air as well. When was the last time they have seen such scene?
“Sister, sister wake up,” Hikari was crying this time around. Seeing all the blood in Eureka, she thought that Eureka was hurt somewhere and she started crying.
Raven went and half carry Eureka, he first checked her breathing before sighing in relief.
“Brother, is sister alright? They hit her head and we were cornered, then something changed in her and she told me to close my eyes, with my eyes closed I could here them shrieking but didn’t hear anything from sister.”
Raven listened attentively as he check Eureka’s head that was hit.
“When I opened my eyes, she look so scared before she fainted. Brother is sister alright?” Hikari asked once again as big droplets of tears pour down her cheeks.
Raven smiled gently at her, he then carried Eureka, princess style, “She is fine. Why don’t you join me and help her wash up? We can help clean her arms and face.”
He then signalled Hideyoshi with his eyes, ‘Take care of this place.’
Hideyoshi nodded as they watch Raven with Hikari walking towards the river.
“This…” Azusa started.
“This is her real strength. With how dangerous everything was, she must have unknowingly woken up to make sure Hikari is safe,” Hideyoshi continued what Azusa wanted to say.
“Death God…” Feena couldn’t help but say as she looked around at the bodies.
What made them feel colder was the headless body and the head that was staring blankly at his own body.
“She had always been ruthless after all. Especially to those who try to harm those who are close to her,” Feena once again commented as she bit at her lower lip.
Despite knowing Eureka’s capabilities, this scene still sent shivers down their spine. Almost five long years, the last time they saw this bloody scene was almost five years ago.
“This might also be the reason why she had fainted. She was so shock to see her kill these people so ruthlessly. And that scared her so much,” Azusa continued as the four of them started taking care of the scene.
Raven carefully wash Eureka’s hands and face, making sure not to wake her up. The wound have stopped bleeding as well, so it doesn’t seem like it was too serious.
His tenderness shocked Hikari, though she already noticed this during that tea time they shared. This was still a shock to her.
She heard from her siblings that he was waiting for her sister. But she also noticed how he was still staying away from her.
“Uhmmm brother, will sister be alright?”
Raven grits his teeth before replying, ” She will be fine. But you must not bring this up around her. Let’s tell her that everything was just a nightmare, okay? That we arrived in time the moment she caught hold of the sword.”
Hikari have already told him the complete sequence of events.
“Why?” Hikari asked innocently.
“So that she can live much more peacefully,” he replied as he carried Eureka and walked back to the others.
Up to now his uncertainty was still there, when he heard Hikari said that Eureka was so terrified of what she had done. His uncertainty grew, he no longer knows if he wanted her to remember.
Hikari followed, ‘Brother is aching for sister. But he can’t do anything about it.’
