Shinobi From Hell - Chapter 341
“Hmm from the very beginning. My friend Xia has probably already won his favor.”
‘Wait a minute. I have heard of the name Xia before.’
Klautz was oppressed with his own sense of deja vu.
“And what about you?”
Dina shrugged.
“I can’t care about all of this any less.”
“Wait a minute.” Klautz showed his palm to her. “Give me a moment, I want to collect my thoughts a bit.”
Klautz finally recalled who Xia was. In fact it was the first group they had got into trouble against inside of the red circle.
‘If what she says is true then a huge pile of these dreadtaur parts should be centered under Benton’s group. That’s really bad. We might really lose in this way.’
If it was any other else, Klautz would have probably robbed them of whatever they had… but Benton’s group was different. Though it was not at all because Benton was a bit stronger than the others. Even as Benton was he could have no hope of gauging Klautz’s presence. Even on the first day that he had arrived Benton was unable to figure him out and before he knew it Klautz had reached in his proximity.
‘The real trouble is that body guard of his.’
Klautz wasn’t just snoring around knowing that his team’s chances at victory were low. Even from the beginning they had a huge handicap in the way of numbers. Thus Benton’s group was just one of the many few that he had kept a close eye over.
And by doing so he had come to realize the fact that Benton was able sneak in one of his bodyguards in.
Indeed, only someone with influence as big as his could have done something like that. Klautz had no way of pointing fingers towards him either for breaking the rules. Doing so would only bring about more trouble with no backing to begin with.
‘As long as his bodyguard is present doing something unscrupulous in his group would be impossible with my current stats.’
Klautz held onto his chin as he lost deep in thought. It was clear that mostly those that were inside of the red circle were the ones collaborating together in all of this. And since Klautz already knew the locations of most of these groups, he had a rough estimate on how much resources his opponents already had.
‘We are not too far behind, but there seems to be no way for us to win this. Neither by brute force nor by trickery.’
Klautz had already stolen all there was steel, even if they were to hunt the remaining ones nothing worthwhile would come out of it. Thus the only option left for him was to raid Benton’s group risking his life?
“No, I want to win but this is too stupid.” Klautz mumbled to himself, “In that case, I must use that…”
Klautz’s eyes turned ghastly as a solution crossed his mind.
Dina couldn’t help but notice.
“What are you so fixated on? Winning would bring you nothing you know. Even if it does it would be Yukiho who would be repeating and even that is doubtful considering her reputation. In the first place the purpose of the hunt was to grind levels for everyone not to win.”
None of the second gen could even be bothered by this tedious tradition. If at all, they would want to give up on it already. But since it’s a tradition it was something their houses had advised them to follow lest they would be targeted by the others.
Each and every one of them had kept the minimal attendance at least while some others had tried to form factions. After all, why should they try to win in the first place? There was no prize money. All it had was an empty title.
“But even so we must win,” Klautz mumbled to himself, not bothering to turn around.
*Sigh*
“I don’t know why you guys here are so obsessed with it. I mean at least I see no point. Tell me one thing if you guys win will it have anything fun…”
Dina’s words stopped in her tracks as she realized something. Her face turned as ghasty as Klautz was.
“That’s it! Amazing. Why didn’t I think of this before? Two love birds having an affair go through the trials and tribulations together as they hold onto the chains of their forbidden love and emerge victorious! Woah, cool. Could there be anything better than this?”
Klautz raised his brows.
“What are you getting at? If you are planning to spread some stupid rumors again then I…”
“No, I won’t. I don’t think there is any need. People are smarter than you think. They can kind of read the air.”
“What do you…”
“Anyway, you must win!”
“Yes, I must.”
KLautz nodded. He was already thinking of two plans in his head, one for the main spruce and another one as a backup just in case. Even though he was reluctant to execute either of them for logical reasons.
“I will help you.”
“You will? How does that make any sense?”
For the last time that Klautz saw her she was chasing after Shizu trying to grope her boobs. Klautz couldn’t really expect much from her even though he was doing the same with someone else.
“He He, you don’t know who I am.” she winked.
‘I don’t even want to know… okay a little but won’t hurt.’
“So, how many dreadtaur’s has your group killed so far?”
“That’s classified information.”
“Tch, okay how much more do you need? Judging by your expressions earlier you should have some idea maybe?”
“Ah, well… that’s classified information too.”
Dina rolled her eyes.
“Come on! We are getting nowhere like this.”
“I can’t trust you.”
“Ugh, okay let me show my appreciation then. Will then you come to trust me? I can gather 1000-2000 or so of them, would that be enough?”
DIna turned to Klautz with a questioning gaze.
“A thousand of them would hardly be enough… ” Klautz’s face turned pale. “Wait, did you say thousands? Where did you get that many from?”
That was indeed quite large for a single group. Although less, it was on the scale of what the Yukiho had collected so far including the ones coming by unfair means. Klautz couldn’t help but be suspicious. Was she stealing them from somewhere too? If so then where.
under the watch of the guards there shouldn’t have been any way for her to collect these resources before the event. Even if each and every member of their group had hid it in their inventory to not be caught by the guards, the number wouldn’t have been so huge.
*Cough* *Cough*
“Well, that’s a secret.”
‘Can she really gather so much for us? If so that would have been the best. I wouldn’t have to resort to extreme measures.’ Klautz thought.
Klautz could only hope that it was not a fluke.
“I don’t believe that there is any free lunch in the world of hell. At least I would like to listen to your demands first before checking out if your claims are at all true.”
“Ow! Come on! You are so loose with women yet why are you so hard to tackle in these sorts of things. Can’t you put your faith in me just a bit? I want you guys to win.”
Dina threw a fuss.
Putting her true accusations aside, Klautz could really believe a word she had said. For among the different groups that Klautz had kept an eye on, Dina’s group was also one of them. They were outside the red circle to begin with and yet Klautz never tried to raid them for he knew that they had the worst team effort that could be possible. Without a leader over their head their lack of coordination was to the extreme.
“So you are saying that you don’t want anything from us?”
Dina held onto her chin.
“Wait now that I think about it. I do want something from you.”
‘Oh, so now she is finally showing her true colors,’ Klautz thought.
Dina smirked with a flirtatious gaze scanning Klautz from top to bottom. Putting her unscrupulous gaze aside, Klautz was waiting to hear her out.
“I will help you but there is a price to pay.”
“Yes I am listening. Speak your heart.”
She licked her lips as she closed into Klautz. Bringing her face as close to him as possible she stared directly into his eyes. Her close proximity caused the smell of her haid to creep into his nose.
“I want to eat you. Will that be fine?”
“…”
Klautz was stupefied as he stared into her eyes for the minutest of flickering but she seemed to be much more confident than Klautz had thought. Rather it was that he was getting flustered.
Her hands crept above as they rested on his chest caressing it from over his shirt. His hard muscles were left defenceless to her assault.
It took a moment for KLautz to realize what had happened. Her juicy lips were too close to him.
“Ugh, not again.”
Klautz rolled his eyes.
With him reacting that way, Dina’s eyes turned to a bizarre look.
“So you don’t want it?”
Her words and her expression seemed to be in conflict. She seemed to be asking for doubts yet she had a confident smile as if she already knew the answer. She had worked quite hard on herself after all.
“Ugh, let me check if you have the stuff I want or not first…”
