Side Story - Chapter 10
“Come, explain this to me.”
The sensation of Prillance’s fine hair still seemed to linger.
It was just Ben who blew up in this instant. He tore up the paper into small pieces. He must have been packing something. Nothing could be made out from it, but both of them knew what it was.
“Why did this come out of the pockets of those servants?” Ben was furious when he found out that Ralph had given the medicine to his servants last time.
Ralph’s work was neat, but there was always a negative spot where he didn’t know where to go.
Especially for important things like this. But Ralph had a calm face.
“I just recommended a good medicine.”
The nobles were the only ones who asked you to do it.”
“Of course, it wasn’t free, it was my own money, so don’t worry about money.” They only expressed each other’s opinions as if they wouldn’t lose.
The eyes of the two clashed sharply, and Ralph was about to pass by, knocking Ben on the shoulder.
‘You’ve done too much as you wanted.’ It was Ben’s voice that caught his step. He still looked angry, but his voice sounded like he was mocking him leisurely.
You said noblemen get angry. You’re a nobleman. Ralph had such useless thoughts. ‘There was no secret place for you.’ ‘What?’
His easy-going face soon distorted. Ben seemed to feel relieved from venting.
“And, for the time being, I won’t even support the back-up.” If the dog doesn’t listen, we can train him. Especially when a dog can’t remember when he was rolling on the floor.
Ben went his own way, leaving Ralph shouting and swearing.
“The owner is said to be Baron Jennett,” was the real owner of the bar. Jennett. It was a family name he’d never heard of. “He is an emerging aristocrat who has only recently been named Baron Ralph Jennett.”
Albert, who read the curiosity that came to Ver’s face, kindly explained about him.
“It’s complicated to figure out. The owner was supposed to be someone else, but it turned out he was dead. I think they only borrowed his name.”
It was that moment when the hunch turned into confirmation. Otherwise, it could not have been complicatedly intertwined with the owner. “Look into him in more detail. And the relationship with the author, Wind, in detail too. Don’t miss even the smallest thing and don’t forget to record everything.”
Ver said that to Albert and took off his coat again.
“Okay, where are you going?” “I have a place to go.” Ver, who said so, left the mansion in a hurry.
Roman’s hand in the office held a colorful letter. The letter paper with the imperial pattern was sprinkled with small gold along the pattern.
“You’re spending money on useless things again,” Roman complained quietly. Prince Lucio and himself opened the letter, thinking it was not a good fit. It was because they knew that there were many things they could do if I cut down on the extravagant costs used for these trivial things.
The letter was about Prince Lucio’s birthday. Roman clicked his tongue because of the apparent difference in quality from the last time. The next emperor seemed to have prepared Lucio’s birthday for sure.
“But it’s Minippi.”
“It seems you care a lot.”
It may mean that Lucio, who has recently been working on behalf of the emperor, will solidify his position in the Minippi, which will be reborn as the largest trading port for the Arceo Empire. A visible achievement was bound to last long in people’s heads.
Maybe he’s after that. However, the hasty tower was forced to collapse. That’s what Roman was worried about.
He wondered if his move to pursue only immediate results was for the empire.
The people were supposed to be responsible for the results for the unprepared. “In this case, the route to the Kingdom of Barua is the best,” he said, but he didn’t have to stop by twice to increase his work. He had to stop by Minippi first and change his schedule to go to the kingdom.
‘What was the Royne family’s schedule like?’
‘We were on the same route. Shall we see if it’s possible to change it?’
‘That sounds good.’
Another round in Congress. It has always been his role to coordinate. The thought alone seemed to give me a headache. Roman decided to think about traveling first.
It was soon that Royne’s family replied. ‘It’s impossible to change?’
‘Yes, they said we should drop by in advance to prepare for the birthday celebration.’
“And will some of the items be re-airlifted from Barua?” Roman frequently visited the Kingdom of Barua to prepare some items for Lucio.
“The Royne’s family seems to have played a pretty big role this time.”
“Because it’s one of the families that received Minippi’s exclusive trade rights.” Fred added that he knew. “Yes, I did.” he already knew that he had received exclusive trade rights for an unexplored Asian country. A lot of new items from the East will be on display.

Eventually, as he wanted, he said, “I can’t help it. Prepare it as it should be.” But the wrinkles on Roman’s forehead were still there. Something you don’t like would be a simple raincoat. Since he is a human being, no matter how much he tries to be neutral, it is often difficult to see Lucio in a good light.
Roman decided to think so.
