Silent Hacker - Chapter 3:Making Plans
The rest of the morning was spent listening to music and dancing in my underwear. I had my next target and they were going to be an easy target. It’s been two years since I’ve gotten out of jail and I’ve gotten used to how these go down and when the sun went down it was go time.
I walk to my storage room with all my equipment and strap up. I love black leather the most. It wasn’t the most flexible but when taking a hit or running through fire… it held it’s own. Besides.. the last time I wore spandex I had burns on my ass for two weeks. It wasn’t pleasant… “Chip, are you ready?” I ask walking to the bathroom.
“I’m ready and have already mapped out the surrounding area… I even checked the weather and tonight is clear skies with a slight breeze.. there shouldn’t be any problems.” He says and I snort. “Like I haven’t heard that one before..” Chip zips over and says “You can not blame me for human error.. humph” I smile and finish putting in the contact lenses.
“Let’s do this..” Chip chirps letting me know he’s ready and I slip the black hoodie over my head and head out to my large garage. I pick out my sleek black bike who is as silent as the night itself. I throw my leg over the black beast and crank her up. She purrs awake and my smile grows. I love my motorcycles..
I pull her out and slip on my face mask.” We need to do this fast okay? He’s always surrounded by his men so they will be on us as soon as I make the hit.” I say pulling away and blending into the night. “Don’t worry I have your back like always.” I smile under the mask and pick up speed.
Chip easily hacks into the lights and I make it all the way across town in record timing. Any time we pass a camera Chip takes them out causing them to glitch just long enough to miss me. I glide through the traffic as we grow closer and when we finally reach our destination I park the
beast a few buildings down.
I walk to the back of the fancy building the scum was in and wait for Chip to unlock the door. It only takes a few moments before the door clicks open and I slip in. My black outfit allowing me to blend into the night unseen. “Stop!” Chip says and I freeze. Two men walk by chatting about getting laid and walk straight passed me. “Okay, clear,” Chip says and I begin my climb.
“What floor?” I ask Chip and he says “Forty-eight.” …. Damn… Why do they always have meetings so high up? “I won’t make it taking the stairs, I need an elevator.” I say as Chip says “Already on it. Take a right then wait.” I follow his instructions as I keep my ears out for anything else. “In three.. two… one. Now.”
I turn the corner and slip into the elevator. Chip hits the rooftop and I look for cameras. “I already took care of them,” Chip says and I smile. “Thanks, Chip. I don’t know what I’d do without you.” He’s silent for only a moment before he says “You’d probably die.” …. “Thanks…” I refocus when we come to a stop and the doors open the roof.
Wind whips at me as I step off the service elevator and take a look around. “Which side?” I ask and Chip says “To your left. You have to tie yourself to the metal piping at the center of the building. It’s the only thing that will hold your weight.” I sigh and make my way over pulling out my ropes and making short work of the knot.
