Silverhart Online - 45 Back at the guild
After saying their farewells to the tavern keeper of the Fighter’s Retreat, Herry, Gray and Isamu make their way into the Warrior’s Guild to fulfill each of their respective intentions.
For Isamu, it’s merely a part of his duty as a member of the guild, fulfilling contracts or quests to help the people in need. But this time though, the Cat-folk’s aim is slightly different. He hopes to get some training with two of the guild’s senior members to improve his fundamentals in the greatsword and learn more about his Warrior class of .
With Gray though, he expects the arrival of Ethan Mills, the son of Eric and Deliah from the village of Oakwood. He was tasked by Deliah specifically to deliver Ethan the letter on her behalf in hopes of being in touch.
The Warrior’s Guild is not that far from the tavern, only about twenty minutes of trekking on the streets. As such, it’s certainly convenient for the members of the guild because they can spend their free time, usually at night to indulge themselves in the joyful festivities of the tavern at a reasonable walking distance.
While the pair of Warrior and Mage walk around the streets of the town, many of the townsfolk around the vicinity that the pair passed through are seen to be waving their hands with grins on their merry faces, all directed at the Elf. Some of them even whistled cheerfully at seeing Gray while others are seen to be performing as they mimic the ‘Gangnam style’ itself with genuine waves of laughter all over their expression.
The Elf smiles sheepishly in response to the applause being poured out to him as he deduced that these people are most likely the ones that witnessed him dancing with the Bards last night at the Fighter’s Retreat.
Gray could also see some of the town’s young women blowing air kisses and winking at him seductively, causing the Elf to simply blush like the virgin he is.
As the two kept on walking, they finally arrived at the guild and entered the establishment.
Inside the guild, Gray and Isamu proceeded to the reception area where Shael happily greets them accommodatingly.
“Why hello there little Isamu.” The Elven receptionist greets the Cat-folk that she knows too well, evident by the nickname she addresses him. “Here for another quest, perhaps?”
“Not this time, ma’am.” Isamu shook his head. “I’m here to see Sir Krothu or Sir Froidan, whoever is available preferably.”
“Hmm.” Shael rubs her chin in thinking. “Froidan, as per usual, is always standing on guard at the entrance to the fourth floor as per his duties and responsibilities, meaning he won’t be available unless otherwise dismissed by the senior members, which usually happens at around five in the afternoon. As for Krothu though, he’s a rather hard orc to find. He’s either at the temple of Agveyr in the Boscage paying his respects or at his usual area at the outskirts of the town in the farmlands doing his own personal training.”
“I’ll meet up with Sir Krothu then first,” Isamu said. “Thank you for the information.”
“Always happy to help.” Shael smiles with inclination.
After Isamu was finished conducting business with Shael, the Elven receptionist turns her attention to her fellow Elf and greeted Gray with enthusiasm as fit to her job description. “And greetings to you as well, Gray Allister.”
“Likewise.” Gray returns the gesture with a smile of his own.

“Before we get on with your business here,” Shael said as her expression turned intrigued all of a sudden, much to Gray’s confusion. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but is it true about the rumors that occurred last night at the Fighter’s Retreat? I overheard some of the Warriors talking about how you marveled the crowd inside with astonishing and intricate dancing moves that even the Bards themselves are amazed by such performance.”
Gray chuckles embarrassingly in response as he answers. “Y-yeah, I guess I did that.”
“Haha, you should have seen him in person, ma’am!!” Isamu joins in the chat as he wrapped his arms around Gray in a friendly manner. “He was overwhelming with so much Charisma last night that everyone inside the tavern was simply awe-stricken by such entertaining movements as we all followed shortly after, including myself. The entire tavern definitely erupted with revelry and chaos as we wallow ourselves with drinking and Gray’s dancing.”
“So, the rumors are indeed true.” Shael merely giggles at this. “I do hope that you find Chadena to your liking, Gray. You’ve certainly brought smiles on the faces of the people around here.”
“The town is a pleasant sight, that I can only tell, so far,” Gray said in response, resulting in Shael smiling at his favorable reply.
“Now unto your business then.” Shael instantly shifts the nature of the conversation as the gossiping concludes. “I assume that you are here for Ethan, right?”
Gray nods in agreement. “Is he here now?”
“Well, you’re in luck.” The Elven woman stated favorably. “Ethan and his group just came back two hours ago from their successful mission. He is currently in his quarters on the second floor. Shall I call him here?”
“Yes please,” Gray said. “It is imperative that I give the letter from his mother.
“Very well then.” Shael answers and calls one of the low-level Warriors available, a human with a simple set of mail armor, around the corner. “Do you know of your fellow guildmate named Ethan Mills?”
“Ethan? Yeah, I know him, ma’am.” The Warrior answers her. “What do you want with him?”
“Kindly tell the boy to come down here. Someone here wants to give him a letter.” Shael instructs the man.
“Someone…” The Warrior mutters as he turned his eyes at Gray, his eyes widening with utmost surprise at an instant as he seemed to recognize the Elf. “By Agveyr’s blade, it’s you!!!”
“Uh, do I know you?” Gray was genuinely perplexed by the man’s reaction.
“It’s no mistake, you’re the Elf that has demonstrated those dancing moves last night, the ‘Gangnam Style’ that you called it if I’m not mistaken!!!’ The Warrior was simply at awe at the Elf as his eyes gleamed in excitement.
“Hehe, that’s me alright.” Gray could only respond with a chuckle.
The Warrior was not exactly subtle with his praise to the elf as more of his guildmates from the notice board turned their eyes on the conversation ongoing as their attention unquestionably was piqued upon seeing the now renowned Elf.
“I can’t believe it, it’s the dancing Elf from last night!!”
“By the Jester, what is he doing here?”
“Is he going to perform here as well?!!”
“Perhaps he must be blessed by the Divine Musician himself!!!”
“Such spectacular dance moves you have performed Sir Elf. The ‘Gangnam Style’, we want to see it again!!”
A small portion of the guild, the ones who were at the tavern last night, erupted in the approvals and cheers as they saw the very man himself in person.
Gray merely smiles sheepishly as the guildmembers surround him in a chaotic fashion.
“Ehem!!!”
The Warriors were suddenly interrupted when they all heard Shael calling for their attention as she cleared her throat with an unamused look.
“Gentlemen.” They could all see the angered look of the Elven receptionist that’s similar to the devil himself which promised pain and suffering to the ones who dare to defy her, an expression very much in contrast to her kind and welcoming personality that she displayed to Gray and Isamu earlier. “I have no issues whatsoever of you giving recognition to our new friend here but kindly do it in an orderly custom as that would not violate the sanctity of the guildhalls at which you very stand. I’m sure you don’t want to be disciplined harshly now, would we?”
“Y-yes, ma’am.” They all answered in unison with a fearful look. Except for the Warrior who was tasked to find Ethen, all of them instantly went back at the notice board in choosing their contracts to undertake.
‘Wow.’ Gray was clearly amazed as he witnessed how terrified the Warriors are when they were reprimanded by the receptionist herself. ‘Despite being a , Ms. Shael must be a highly regarded individual in the guild that even the Warriors themselves listen to her without question. It’s probably best not to get on her bad side. She was certainly quite scary when she gave the look to them. Heck, even Isamu beside me was not spared at the act.’
Indeed, he could see the Cat-folk shivering in fear out of character with a distressed look on his face.
“Anyways.” Shael turns her expression back to her all kind nature as she all smiled in her usual character once again. “I apologize for the commotion that the guild members have demonstrated to you, Gray. They can be a rough bunch at times, but they’re all good people, that I can very much assure you.”
“Oh, there no need to apologize.” Gray raises his hands in waving. “Their reactions are understandable and there’s no harm done.”
“I thank you for your understanding.” Shael bows down with respect. Then she faces the Warrior who was instructed to call Ethan. “Well, you know your orders young man, get a move on then.”
“Right away, ma’am!!” The man responds in an instant as he immediately left the scene and went upstairs on the second floor for the fulfillment of his task.
Shael faces Gray again as she said. “Ethan will be coming down here shortly.”
Gray simply nods in response as he and Isamu in the meantime wait for the son of Eric and Deliah for the Elf to meet in person.
