Single Stat System - Chapter 103
“So they are now making a move huh…”
Although Sakim still didn’t have strong senses to detect what was going on around him, his Blood Servant flying above was doing the job for him. And he was delighted to know that those people on the top of the cliff were now rushing in his direction. From the looks of it, they were coming onto him to ask for a fight. If that was the case, then why would he refuse such an exciting thing? It had to be known that he was itching to fight against someone where he could gauge his strength.
At first, Sakim intended that after finishing off the bunch of ants in the area, he would go to the top of the cliff to play with the people there. However, for some reason, after finishing off the ants, his instinct was telling him to not go there making his hesitation triumph upon him. He didn’t know why but he felt that his life would be in danger if he ever went there. To think that even with his current strength, there was still something in this world that could threaten him. Did he just overestimate his strength that much and he was now thinking that he was on top of the world already? Sakim felt that his thinking need some fixing.
In any case, since he was reluctant to go there on top of the cliff, Sakim was really delighted when the other party came to him instead. He felt more comfortable if they fought them this way.
But then, Sakim was just astonished at the incredible speed displayed by the incoming enemies. Their speed didn’t pale in comparison to his when he used the speed of sound as it even appeared that they were even faster. With a distance of several kilometers, he presumed that they would arrive in his current location in less than a minute.
With that in mind, Sakim swept his gaze around him. All players in the area were either dead or half-dead. Those players who didn’t suffer from the attack he unleashed, and were only kneeling upright because of the intense fear, were no different than dead either. After all, on the battlefield, those who had lost their hope to live were already dead.
But knowing that these people still had some uses to him, from left to right, Sakim waved his right hand coated by Greed Manifestation. And right after that, all the players in the area had their blood leaving their bodies, forming a ball of blood above them. After some time, their body turned into dry corpses as they finally met their end. Sakim was merciless. He didn’t leave even a single person alive. He stole all their HP as he didn’t feel any pity at all. As if their life was so insignificant as what he had just killed was no different than a mosquito. It was as if killing them was even for the better.
“Come,” So with a grin, Sakim muttered. The many balls of blood formed through the blood of the fallen players in the area then flew towards him. They didn’t dare to be slow when Sakim was inviting them to come. It was as if these balls of blood were afraid that he would be angered the moment they put even the slightest delay.
So upon reaching their distance towards Sakim, the balls of blood then disappeared in the thin air. It was obvious that they had been transported into his Stolen Inventory.
After all of the balls of blood were put into his Stolen Inventory, Sakim then stopped using the Greed Manifestation. He could only smile seeing all the healing items that came into him. With these healing items, as long as he didn’t die in one hit, he would definitely have a long life as the incoming enemy would have a hard time dealing with him.
With that in mind, Sakim glanced at his HP bar. However, he suddenly frowned seeing it. To think that he only got this little amount of HP even after the evolution of his passive skill: Greed. It appeared that it only affected his Greed Energy as his level and stats were still just the same. He was still a low-level player. And a low-level player had a weak body and stats. With these pitiful stats of his, he was afraid that any of those people coming onto him could kill him even with a single flick of their finger. Just what should he do now? Sakim could only have a deeper frown the more he thought about it.
Perhaps, he should just try to use that. Sakim suddenly thought of something as he nodded his head one time. Since anyone from the other party was far stronger than him in terms of levels and stats, he should just take advantage of what he had. Sakim was planning to just use the Greed Domain and suppress the other party into submission. Since he could tell that he had a very strong Greed Energy compared to just anyone, he should be able to use greed suppression against them, right? Although they appeared to be unordinary, they must know as well that he too wasn’t an ordinary person.
With that in mind, and seeing that the other party had already reached their distance within the range of his Greed Domain, Sakim’s frown had immediately turned into a grin. So knowing that the other party would reach their distance onto him at any moment, Sakim opened his mouth and muttered with a grin, “Greed Domain.”
Immediately, the Greed Energy within him gushed out from his body. It then formed three kilometers radius of Greed Domain where his Greed Energy caused terror to every living being in the area. With this, he should be able to defeat them, right? Or even if not, he should at least have a big advantage when fighting them, right?
But to his shock, the five people coming in his direction seemed to be unaffected by his Greed Domain as they even increased their speed. What now? What was going on? Why were they weren’t affected by his Greed Domain? At that moment, Sakim’s heart couldn’t help hastening its beat as if warning him about the bad premonition that was ready to happen at any time.
So instinctively, and knowing the danger that was about to transpire, Sakim retracted his Greed Domain as he quickly covered his entire body with Greed Manifestation. After which, he crossed his arms on his chest as his eyes suddenly turned fierce and flashed with a cold glint.
Shortly after that, an extremely fast object appeared just in front of Sakim. He wasn’t surprised to see that it was actually a person who went there to give him a furious attack. Seeing the pose of the other party who was about to land a punch on him at any moment, Sakim’s eyes had immediately turned even fiercer.
At that short moment, Sakim saw that there was a bolt of lightning crawling on the other party’s body. And there was a much stronger concentration of lightning forming on his fist. He could tell that the other party was going to greet him with this.
Swoosh!
“Lightning Punch!”
So with a wide grin, and eyes flashing with cold glint, Leonard Sarile, the one who had just arrived, finally released his furious punch and gave it to Sakim. A crisp sound of the wind then soon followed before a loud impact and bones cracking echoed next.
Leonard’s fist landed on Sakim’s crossed arms as the other party was sent flying real quick as if a cannonball fired by a huge cannon. No matter how hard had he gritted his teeth, Sakim just couldn’t stop his fling. He even dropped and rolled on the ground from time to time but he still didn’t come to a halt.
“F*ck, this is crazy…” Sakim thought furiously. Just what the hell was with this crazy strength? If it wasn’t because of his Greed Manifestation protecting him, he was afraid that he would have died with that single punch. To think that it only needed for that single person to make a move to put him in such a miserable state.
Tsk! Sakim clicked his tongue angrily. Feeling that the force pushing him away turned weaker, he finally got a chance to grab the ground below. So instead of rolling, his limbs slid on the grassland trying to halt his fling.
After a long struggle, and arms and feet sliding on the ground for a good distance, Sakim finally managed to stop. But then, his heart was still racing as what had just happened remained fresh in his mind.
However, to his another shock, his eyes agape upon learning that he had just lost his connection from his Blood Servant: Dragonfly. What now? What happened to his Blood Servant? It couldn’t be that…
Sakim swallowed a mouthful of saliva thinking of what had likely happened to his Blood Servant. Since he had lost his connection towards it, it was safe to assume that the enemies who had just arrived had taken care of it. If that was the case, then surely, the difficulty of his current situation had increased greatly. After all, losing that Blood Servant could also mean that he had just lost one of his eyes. Damn it. Sakim could only curse in his heart as he turned exceedingly serious.
