Single Stat System - Chapter 50
But come to think of it now, the small grassland in front of him was somewhat familliar. If he could just put on this grassland the blue tree and the pond he saw yesternight, then it would be a perfect fit. Could it be that that blue place was some kind of hidden place that would only appear when a certain condition was met? With that in mind, Sakim presumed that there was a high chance that it was likely true.
But since it was gone now, there was only a little value thinking about it. He should just forget about that place and focus on how should he go to the beginner’s village.
But before that, there was one more thing that kept bugging his mind. And that was the Brown Bear he killed a while ago that fled here. If that wild monster was here then surely, there was a reason to it. To whatever reason could it be, Sakim wasn’t sure. But he was certain that it was something that couldn’t be taken lightly with.
The knowledge he got before only mentioned about the wild monsters but it didn’t mention how did they end up like that. But with his wisdom, Sakim could presume some cases that could be the reason.
Usually, monsters would stay in their supposed area. That was how this world was designed.
But if something extremely dangerous appeared in their place and affected them, then surely, they wouldn’t just sit around and watch themselves go extinct, right? After all, even though they were just a monster that was treated as experience points by the Players, Sakim could tell that they were still living beings that had emotions. If there was something dangerous that even them was helpless to retaliate, then surely, they would naturally feel fear and would try their best to escape and preserve their life.
There might also some cases that the monsters on the higher-level leveling area would leave their place when they were attracted to something. And usually, whether it was some kind of herbs, ores, fruits, or anything else, it should be something beneficial to them.
There might also these cases that they were being provoked. And the reason could be their eggs or kids were stolen making them go on rampant and search in the nearby area for the culprit.
No matter what was the reasons, Sakim knew that wild monsters could be dangerous especially to the normal Players in the area where the wild monsters were. After all, a wild monster’s level was a couple of levels higher than them. If these Players encountered a certain wild monster, then there was a high chance that their life would be put at risk. Although it wasn’t that fatal to some capable Players like Sakim, to someone else, on the other hand, they were extremely dangerous.
Thankfully, Sakim was the only Player in the area when that bear appeared. If that bear encountered other Players instead of him, then who knew what would be the consequences.
It was just a pity that only one Brown Bear had shown itself to him. If there were a few more of them that appeared before him, then he could probably have few more healing items.
But since only one bear had appeared, Sakim could only give up on that thought now. And since no one could bother him anymore, he could finally continue his journey to the beginner’s village.
So before Sakim left the area, he put a glance to the grassland before him. He tried to imagine again the place of which it was all blue.
However, what entered his mind wasn’t that place but instead, a smile of a certain person. That smile was displayed vividly in his mind. But other than that, everything was so blurred. And no matter how hard he racked his brain, and how deep his frown could get, he just couldn’t remember who was that person at all. Just who on Earth was she for real?
Not only that but there were also these last words of that little fairy that kept bugging his mind. Little moon? Just what did it mean by it? Was it a place? A person’s nickname? An entity? Sakim wasn’t sure. But what did it get to do with him if this little moon was in danger?
Helpless, Sakim could only sigh deeply. Not to mention what could he possibly do about that little moon, he was even having trouble going to the beginner’s village. So why would he bother himself to the other people’s business if there was something he could call his own that he needed to bother himself with?
Sakim then sighed again deeply. After which, he retracted his gaze from the grassland as he walked through the woods before him.
After some time of walking, Sakim finally found a certain road ahead. And to his surprise, this road was actually the one he took before. Sakim then smiled. It really was a relief knowing that he didn’t go too far from this place.
So then, Sakim took the road and walked in wary. For some time, no monsters had approached him along the way. Not even the tiny rabbit trope that would rustle behind the bush and would be suspected as a dangerous monster.
With that, Sakim regretted the fact that he didn’t steal the HP of the Snails he found on the grassland he was in before. But he knew as well that there was nothing he could do about it as he’d already walked for a good distance now away from that place. In the end, he could only forget about those Snails.
After another good while, Sakim seemed to reach the end of the woods as what greeted him was wide plains.
But to his shock, together with the wide plains, what he found was a group of humans walking along the opposite road. From the looks of it, they were about to enter the woods he was about to exit.
These people were clad in black clothing that could even cover their heads. Sakim had even mistaken them as a ninja in the movie in his past life. Just who in the world were they?
With a glance, he could tell that there were about 20 of them. And with a glance, he could also tell that they were up to no good. He could even feel the negative aura that naturally leaking out from them as it seemed like they gained it by claiming many lives.
Sakim narrowed his eyes when he halted his steps. He intended to turn around and leave so that he wouldn’t involve himself with these people but seeing that the other party had already taken notice of him, he could only give up that thought. Sakim could only sigh deeply as he could already tell that this spelled trouble.
Was it really that difficult to go to the beginner’s village? All he wanted was to go there. Why was it that many encounters were trying to obstruct his way?
Hidden boss, hidden dungeon, stronger Players, hidden place, and now… ninjas? Just how many crazy encounters did he needed encounter just to reach the beginner’s village?
No matter how Sakim looked at it, it could only be somewhat frustrating. If he didn’t receive many good items from these encounters, then he was probably cursing the world now.
Sakim was just hoping that he could also get something good this time around as well.
