Single Stat System - Chapter 82
[Julius: Hey Agila, buy me some more time. I only need four minutes. Until then, keep this guy here busy and away from me. He is dangerous and he is planning to feed me something vile. If that happened, I think we would really be done for.]
A new message suddenly popped up as the System appeared before him with a mail icon. Agila wanted to ignore it but when he put a glance at it, he couldn’t help but open the chatbox. And upon reading the message, he couldn’t help stopping his steps as he cursed, “F*ck! This bastard was acting bossy again. Is he really that desperate? Just why the hell is he so scared of that guy.”
He had just run a few hundred meters away and this guy would just have to trouble him? What if Kristina suddenly arrived? Would he take responsibility if he was beaten up to death by that bitch? Would he compensate him if he really was beaten up by her? This leader of him was surely annoying.
[Julius: I will give you ten lowest quality Greed Stones, how about it?]
As if responding to his thoughts, Agila received another message from Julius and then read it. And upon reading it, the smile on his lips was just couldn’t be prevented from appearing anymore. He then rushed under a certain tree near the cliff as he responded to Julius,
[Agila: What are you talking about leader? Of course, I will help you to the best of my ability whenever you are in trouble and even if you don’t ask me. After all, you are our leader and we can’t live without you.]
After sending his regards, Agila retrieved his sniper gun. After which, he looked with its sniper scope to see his target again. Since he only needed to buy four minutes, he thought that he should at least spare some of his precious time.
After all, the reward was a Greed Stone and ten of them at that. It was really worth the risk. With these Greed Stones, he could finally increase his Greed Energy to some extent. Who would want to let such a reward slip through their fingers? He must be out of his mind if he really let it slip.
On the other side, Julius found his mouth twitching wildly reading the message of Agila. Surely, this guy was easy to talk with when there was a good meal on the table.
Although the price was a bit expensive, but then, once they subdued this walking gold mine, he was more than certain that it would be paid off.
“Oh? It seems like your friend has suddenly become motivated.” Sakim said calmly. He halted his steps as he shifted his gaze at the location where Agila was. His Blood Servant informed him that the sniper had found a spot and was pointing his gun at him again.
“…” Julius didn’t say a thing as he narrowed his eyes slightly. Just how terrifying the other party’s detection capability to know every action they made? Even till now, he still found it hard that a new player could do such a feat. It just didn’t make sense at all. Could it be that…
Julius contemplated again as he thought of one thing. No matter how hard he thought about it, it really was impossible for a new player to have such a capability. Unless he had some kind of artifact with a great spying capability that helped him all the time. With that in mind, Julius sent Agila a new message,
[Julius: Did you perhaps notice something like a drone around you? It seems like this guy here is keeping watch in your every action.]
Agila was taken aback when he read the message of their leader. A drone that watching all his actions? This was really dangerous. If there was really such a thing, then wouldn’t it mean that it was possible that no matter where he had run into, Kristina would still be able to know where he was?
With that in mind, Agila hurriedly checked his surroundings. As a Marksman: Sniper, he naturally had good eyesight. So depending on his proficiency in his job class, he could spot every little thing within a certain range as long as he paid enough attention to it. As long as that thing didn’t have a terrifying concealing capability, then he could find anything within his range. And with his proficiency, he could see anything strange like drones or alike within a kilometer radius.
Fortunately, he found nothing amiss. He heaved a sigh of relief as he was sure of it. After which, he sent Julius a message confirming that there was nothing in there.
Of course, Agila wouldn’t be able to find the drone that watching over him. After all, it was few kilometers away from him, something that had a few times better eyesight than his.
“Hmm…” Julius frowned upon reading the message of Agila. If there was no drone around him, then how could this guy keep watch on his every action? He refused to believe that Sakim had unreasonable detection capability. The only plausible explanation for this was that he had external help.
With that in mind, Julius scanned his surroundings with his sharp eyes. But even from left to right and above, he just couldn’t see anything strange at all. Even when he closed his eyes and focused his other senses around him, he still found nothing valuable.
However, while he was still busy scanning his surroundings, he suddenly felt something grabbing cheeks, pressing each side trying to open his mouth. Julius was taken by shock as he immediately opened his eyes. And to his horror, he found the walking gold mine right in front of him, smiling at him with malicious intent.
“Alright, say ah,” Sakim said with a smile as the mouth of the other party was finally opened.
What the f*ck? Julius was now crying. When did the other party come closer to him? He even had his hand slowly reaching his mouth while between his thumb and forefinger was a red bead. It was obvious that the other party was trying to put that thing in his mouth. Was he really doomed this time?
Kaboom!
Fortunately, a savior had arrived. Julius was then blown away from the explosion rolling furiously on the ground. But…
[Julius: What the f*ck are you doing?! Why did you shoot me? Are you trying to kill me now?!]
As Julius was now lying helplessly on the ground, he quickly PMed Agila furiously. Just what the hell was this guy doing?
[Agila: Sorry leader. But I saw that that guy was trying to feed you something. So to prevent it…]
Agila didn’t finish his words as he knew that even if he did not, the other party would still be able to understand it. And from the chat, it appeared that he was as if sorry. However, his smile right now was just too wide as it was obvious that he purposely tried to blow away their leader.
