Single Stat System - Chapter 90
“Tsk! You are desperately asking for help and now that I helped you, I didn’t even get a simple thank you,” Seeing her stubborn master, Sintia clicked her tongue as she snorted coldly. After which, she raised her little hand as a small red bead floated beside her. With a disappointed tone of her cold voice, she then added, “Do you know what is this thing? Hurry up and check its description.”
The red bead then floated on top of Julius’ forehead waiting to be identified.
Julius didn’t say anything as he checked the description of the item. And as soon as he saw it, his eyes couldn’t help but widen in fright. He unwittingly swallowed a mouthful of saliva thinking how dangerous that item was.
[Blood Manipulator Pill]
• A pill made of the blood of the Vessel of the Greed sin, Sakim. He can have absolute control over the blood of anyone with lower-level Greed Energy who swallows it.
“Absolute control…” Julius had his attention caught by these two words. This was basically controlling the blood of anyone who swallowed this pill. It could only mean that it was to control them into slavery.
With the vessel’s current Greed Energy, Julius was afraid that only those people living at the very center of Greedland, could resist it. How much more if the vessel awakened the full power of his Greed Energy… Surely, no one in the world would be able to resist this kind of pill anymore if they ever swallowed one.
Julius finally got to realize why the vessel was so eager to feed him that thing. It appeared that he wanted to control him into slavery. Could it be that Izel and Kristina had swallowed this thing as well that was why they were so eager to obey this vessel? Julius’ eyes didn’t lose their fierceness the more he thought about it. This vessel was surely daring. Only low-level and he dared to pull such a trick against those who were higher in level by him multiple times? It was really unforgivable.
“Sintia…” Julius called out but his voice was no different than a mumble.
“Yes, master. Do you want me to finish that kid over there?” Sintia replied nonchalantly.
“Go back,” Julius said as he turned to look at Sintia. But the hint of coldness was could noticeably be seen from his voice and his eyes.
“Are you still angry at me because of that incident…” Sintia asked. Although she spoke indifferently, if one would put more attention, and look into her eyes, there was a hint of sadness within as if she was sorry for something she had done.
“I said go back. Do I still need to repeat myself?” Julius responded. But the coldness in his voice this time put a chill even to Sintia.
“…” Sintia gritted her teeth as she wanted to say something. But soon she swallowed her words and took a deep breath to calm down. After a moment, she then replied, “Alright.”
After she said that word, she turned into a streak of green light and then went into the chest of Julius. As reluctant as she was, this was the only thing she could do.
So now that he was able to move again, and the restriction of the paralysis status effect had ended, Julius finally released an overflowing mana causing terror in his surroundings. He slowly got up from the ground as the moment he was seated upright, he turned his gaze at Sakim with his eyes filled with coldness and hostility.
Sakim gritted his teeth as he shielded his face with his right arm because of the strong force coming out from the other party. He even found it hard to move when their gazes had met. It was as if his body was being chained and was ready to be thrown onto the sea. If this went on, he might really get drowned and died on the spot. Was this the real power of this bandit? He never expected that it was this terrifying. The other party wasn’t even making a move and here he was, shocked like a terrified rat in the presence of a hungry cat. What should he do now… Was there still a way out from this?
But while he was still pondering on what to do, a very strong wind came out from Julius and went in all directions. No matter how hard Sakim had to resist it, he was still pushed away quite easily. He even rolled on the ground one round, and then the rest was for his feet to slide. A moment later, he arrived out of the darkness he summoned but the sun wasn’t there anymore to greet him. As if it was afraid to see the horrible sight that was about to happen as it hid behind the dark clouds.
Sakim fixed his gaze at the dome of darkness as he was waiting for the other party to come out. But soon, a cold voice sounded. However, what was terrifying was that it sounded right behind him.
“You’ve done enough. You really did a good job incurring my wrath.” How dare did this trash try to make him his slave. Every time Julius thought about it, only anger was what he felt.
Sakim on the other hand, even without looking behind, could see the anger from the other party’s eyes. He felt very small before him or perhaps, he felt that it was the other party that had gotten bigger. This overwhelming pressure… This shaking body… This feeling of numbness while loosening his strength… Sakim didn’t want to admit it but could it be that what he felt right now was… ‘Fear’?
As if responding to his thoughts, Julius spoke nonchalantly, “So the vessel could also feel fear huh. You are this high and mighty before when I can do nothing. But now, you suddenly become a scaredy-cat. How laughable. How pathetic. To think that you are actually the Vessel of the Greed sin.”
Swoosh!
Suddenly, an extremely fast object arrived as a figure of a certain individual showed up. She brandished her dagger against Julius’ neck the moment she arrived. But seeing that the other party managed to dodge her attack by moving backward a little, she quickly grabbed Sakim and fled right away.
“Master, are you alright?” The woman asked the moment she put a good distance away from Julius. She looked at her master to see if he was still alright.
Who could it be other than Izel? After feeling the incredible mana coming from the direction of her master, she immediately knew that it was Julius. Knowing about it, she could tell that her master was definitely in trouble this time around.
As such, Izel turned to look for her master as there she caught sight of him while on the other hand, Julius was standing just behind him as if ready to kill him at any moment. Izel didn’t waste any time playing around with Gilbert as she ran swiftly to save her master. To think that her master would fail to feed Julius the Blood Manipulator Pill. No matter how she thought about it, it could only spell huge trouble.
