“No, she just knows me.” Elena replied in a neutral manner. Because it would sound impossible if she said Rena is Brian’s real mother, the owner and heir of the famous fernandez family business empire.

“If you want to come over and talk to her, I can handle all the work.” Anita replied excitedly.

“No need, I already talked to her. She said she would wait for me to finish work.”

“Alright then.” said Anita, who is now continuing her work adding to the stock of cakes in the window.

Rena sat waiting patiently. She also ordered some of the cakes sold in the shop and kept watching Elena’s every move.

She saw how friendly Elena’s attitude was to customers who came to the shop. No matter whether the customer is male, female, child or elderly, Elena always greets they with a sweet smile and warm greeting. Maybe because of her nature like that which made Rena very easy to open up and accept Elena’s presence when she replaced the role of Elise who was pregnant.

It’s been three hours, rena is still faithfully waiting. It was five o’clock in the afternoon and many cakes were sold out. And indeed it’s time to close the shop. Elena was still tidying up the cake container when Anita tapped her on the shoulder.
