Skill-Creation System - Chapter 22
Alex woke up from the morning sun shining upon his room. His eyes slowly opened. He then started to float. Using his ‘Infinite Soul Convergence’, Alex used his Soul power to lift himself up.
He did the usual morning routine and went downstairs. He then put on some clothes and went on a stroll down the street. Sometimes, he would see someone who needed a hand and helped them. He would also use Healing Magic on people who got hurt.
Magic was something very rare in this world. You could say that Alex was the only one who knew how to use it. That was because this world focused on Qi cultivation instead. The Qi within the air was more dominant than the Mana so it was practically impossible for the inhabitants of Centorih to sense it.
Alex, however, had the Skill Creation System. He has the skill ‘Magic Affinity’ which allowed him to sense it.
Every time people saw him use magic, they were excited and looked at him with reverence. They felt like he was a Young God sent by the heavens.
Just as Alex finished healing a child who had fallen, he heard a familiar sound.
*clack**clack**clack**clack*
It was the sound of Shen Fei’s carriage. It had the SIC’s insignia on it. Since the tournament in the festival, Alex no longer considered Shen Fei a friend. He didn’t know when this transformation happened.
When the carriage was getting closer, a kid went in the middle of the street to catch the ball he dropped. The driver wanted to stop but Shen Fei, who saw this, told him to continue going.
When Alex saw this, he turned his body around dashed towards the kid. He activated his ‘Lvl.36 Running’ and dissapeared like a phantom.
The surrounding people were shocked at his speed. They then saw the kid, who was in danger, disappear from where he was standing.
Alex pushed his speed to its limit and brought the kid to the other side of the road. A trail of dust followed after him.
Shen Fei’s jaw dropped to the ground. Alex’s speed was too fast for his eyes to see. This was because of Alex’s running skill which allowed him to increase his speed up to 86%.
The crowd cheered for Alex as the kid in his arms ran towards his mother. The kid’s mom, Lisa, was a teacher for children who are between 3-5 years old.
Alex followed the kid to her.
“You should be careful around the streets and you should keep an eye for this little guy.”
Alex said with a smile and sweet voice while patting her head.
Lisa blushed and nodded as she turned her head away.
When Alex saw this, his mouth twitched and remembered what Celestine once said to him.
‘Although they are human, with the Qi Within the air, they grow faster than the people on earth, meaning that someone who is 10 years old here is basically the equivalent of an 16 years old.’
Alex then walked away from the commotion.
Shen Fei who had been watching and berated by the crowd was gritting his teeth as he saw Alex’s back walking away.
‐————‐—————————
Alex ate at a restaurant and went home. He looked at the house opposite of his and decided to go visit Yui.
When he arrived at the door, he knocked. He waited and knocked again.
‘Could they have gone out?’
Alex asked himself. Alex then used his soul power to search the entire town. If he really got serious and had to resort to using his soul power, he could obliterate a city.
‘Huh? Where are they?’
Alex searched the entire town and found neither the old man nor Yui. They were the most important people to him aside from his parents.
Alex inhaled a breath of air and exhaled as he released massive amounts of Soul Power to search for them.
Moments later, he found them and detected people surrounding them. Alex then dashed towards their direction.
While Alex was rushing towards them, Old Man Han and Yui were surrounded by people dressed in black cloaks. They had an extremely murderous aura exploding out their bodies.
Although the old man could normally easily get out of the situation, the men dressed in cloacks all held a hand sized Spiritual Stone with a Power suppressing formation. With this many of the same formations, even the Old Man would only have the strength of a Qi Condensation Grade-9 Cultivator. Yui on the other hand had all of her cultivation suppressed.
‘Kill them!!!’
The leader of the group ordered his men. After the order was given, the people who were originally watching, took out bows and Qi imbued arrows. These types of arrows could even kill a Earth Realm Cultivator. Now that the Old Man’s Cultivation was suppressed, they would have no problem killing him.
Yui saw this. She didn’t know why these people targeted them but if they shot her grandfather would certainly die. She stood up and went in front of him.
The old Man was surprised at her actions and smiled. The arrows were about to shoot and Yui closed her eyes.
‘I’m sorry Alex! Goodbye!’
Tears ran down her cheeks as she remembered the moments she spent with Alex and especially the night of the festival. She touched the ring and smiled. She had thought of using it but she didn’t want to involve Alex in this mess
The arrows shot and quickly flew towards them.
“Alex, I wish I could see you once more.”
Yui yelled as the arrows were a meter away from her. She decided to use the ring as she thought Alex would be too far away from the them. The ring’s defensive formation kicked in and created a barrier. A couple of arrows were stopped but only a few of them were stopped.
She closed her eyes as she accepted her fate. Just as she thought she was done for, she heard a familiar voice saying.
“Well I am right here!”
She turned around and saw that, the arrows that were supposed to hit her, were suspended in the air. She then saw a figure coming out of the forest. The men in black cloaks were also surprised to see the arrows not moving in the air.
The figure was Alex. A few moments after he entered the forest, he felt that the defensive formation, on the ring he gave to Yui, activate. He immediately rushed at his top speed at her direction. Fortunately, he had made in time to stop the arrows with his soul power. He also heard Yui’s last request and was deeply moved by it.
Alex then used ‘Short-Range Teleportation’ to appear before Yui. It had stunned her for a moment but she cried as she hugged him.The Old Man, who had been watching this scene, wore a mysterious smile on his face.
Alex patted Yui’s head and handed her over to Old Man Han. He retracted his soul power to detect only 100 meters around him. He looked at the men who were in black cloacks. They all saw him right now and they tensed when they saw him teleport. They also couldn’t tell what Alex’s cultivation was as the system protected him from others finding it out.
Alex used his ‘Identify’ Skill and gazed upon all of them.
He then said with an indifferent expression
“An Earth Realm Grade-5, An Earth Realm Grade 2 and the rest are only Qi Condensation Cultivators!”
“What?!” Eveyone was shocked when they heard what Alex said as they knew that he could see pass their Cultivation Realms in a blink of an eye.
Alex chuckled and asked
“Who are you and who sent you?”
The Black-claocked men all looked at each other and the leader responded on their behalf.
“We are assassins. As for our client, we can’t tell you as that would break the rules of the Assasin Organization.”
“Assassins?”
Alex looked at Yui and the Old Man who were looking at him. The Old Man definitely knew why but Yui didn’t have a clue. He then turned his head back at the assassins and remembered the assassin from 10 years ago that attacked the old man.
“Won’t Say!?”
Alex continued. He activated the His Fighting Spirit and Killing Intent. The temperature dropped at that moment. Alex’s killing intent overwhelmed the assassin’s by a large amount.
Shivers went down the assassins spines as felt the frightening amount of killing intent. They felt as they had no way to win this fight.
Even Yui and the Old Man were shocked
‘Is that really Alex?’
They asked themself this question as they looked at Alex.
