- Chapter 27:You're Supposed To Be In Hell
????????
Accepting help.
It’s all just too much.
The inferno she accepted into herself, destroys the mind and body.
It’s all burning her down to the core.
She wonders if she’s going to be able to open her eyes again.
She wonders if there is going to be anything left.
Or will it just be ash?
It’s so painful but it’s strange.
She can still think.
She is still Juno.
The pain that consumes her won’t stop until there’s nothing left.
That’s the feeling she gets.
If hell is worse than this, she’ll be a good person for the rest of her days.
????
Outside of her chaotic thoughts, the gorgon girl is surrounded by an intense light coming from within.
It’s too bright to look at her directly but impossible to look away.
The hair tie snaps and her hair flows out wildly.
Her hair begins to take shape.
Nurse Pures let go of her once he realized he couldn’t stop the inevitable.
Now he is observing with a frown on his face.
Even the beast stops attacking and is enchanted by the phenomenon.
When the light stops shining, a girl stands there with 12 snakes coming from her head!
When Juno opens her eyes again.
Her gaze is fierce.
Thirteen minds come together to form one thought.
One action.
>>>>>
With the strength that wasn’t there before, Juno intends to grab the Nurse’s throat, like he did.
And she succeeds.
At lightning speed she lifts him up against a wall with both of her hands around his throat.
“Ha… You want to… kill me..? Of course.. you do.”
With his other free hand he planned to punch her side but some of her snakes bite down on his arm.
They bite down hard enough that it draws out blood!
But this blood is black?
All the snakes that bit him hiss in disgust and anger.
>
“I won’t lose…”
While the snakes hesitate, he slams his bleeding arm on her face, the force wasn’t strong compared to previous attacks but some of his blood paints her face.
It burns!
“AHH!”
She’s forced to let him go as she holds her face in pain.
Some of the snakes attempt to lick off the blood much to their dismay.
>
Juno bares her fangs at him and is about to attack again when suddenly he says, “In any case why are you attacking me? Didn’t you want to leave to save your little friend?”
It’s like she’s been slapped.
In the midst of her rampage she forgot what she wanted to do.
She wants to save Eve!
Shame, disgust and self loathing eat her up.
>
It’s right, she has to move.
“It’s too late now.”
Juno ignores the Nurse’s taunts and runs down the hall to where she was but it’s no use.
Eve and the Shadow Beast are gone!
When did that happen?
“No. No. No. NO!”
She clutches her head in despair, “Why. Why. WHY?”
The Nurse walks down the hall following Juno at a leisurely pace, his wounds already closed up, with a smile on his face.
But his eyes can’t hide the agitation behind his facade.
“Tell me, TELL ME WHERE IS SHE!?”
He laughs, “By now, she’s probably in that gluttonous beast’s belly.”
“SHUT UP! I’LL, I’LL…”
“Kill me? I don’t know why you’re so worried about that girl. At this point you should be more worried about yourself.”
Then he does something shocking, he makes a deep wound on his arm using only his hand, ripping the flesh open until lots of blood runs down.
But the blood takes form of a weapon.
Specifically, a sword!
“You should be more worried about me. This time I’m not holding back. I mean, how can I possibly hold back when you’re here again, Nodö’Racaarreasta.”
Killing intent drips from the tip of sword.
All the snakes become stressed as they lay their eyes upon that sword.
>
It seems that Perseus can understand what the Immortal Snakes are saying, “And now I’m an overworked nurse rotting at a boarding school. Life is funny like that.” He doesn’t sound like he finds it funny at all.
“You… you’re… you’re that guy!? I’m-I’m going to be sick.”
The infamous Perseus? One of Medusa’s greatest enemies? How much more unlucky can she get?!
>
“What kind of villain exposes all their secrets? If you want answers, you’re going to have to beat them the hell out of me.”
>
“You, you hurt my sister too? Where is she!? ANSWER ME!?”
“Actually, I will tell you something important. My target was only you, Juno. I don’t know where your sister is at this moment.”
“I-I don’t believe you!”
“Heh. I don’t expect you to. It’s not like it matters to me!”
//Can we beat him?//
Mixed responses of “yes” and “no” but Noodle’s voice stands out the most.
>
>
>
Juno wants to run away.
She wants to save her friend, she wants to save her sister.
But he won’t let her run away.
“You’re right, I absolutely can’t allow you to run away.”
//How can we defeat him? I don’t know how to fight!//
>
Her hopelessness evaporates when she hears that.
All that’s left is rage.
//Eve, wait for me, please. Please stay alive.//
Her heart trembles but her resolve is steady.
They both attack simultaneously!
Juno, letting only her rage guide her, aims to punch his face.
He’s easily able to dodge her punch and attempts to slice her chest open with the sword.
She jumps back just barely avoiding it!
>>>>>
>
Instead of attacking with his sword, Perseus uses his other hand to grab some of her snakes.
They all hiss in pain!
Some snakes bite him in an attempt to free their siblings from his grasp but he’s unbothered!
It’s different now.
He’s shed his fake skin, this is the real Perseus with a body hardened from eons of hardship!
A warrior.
A traitor.
The fear that he’s going to cut the snakes from her head goes through all their minds!
But strangely he flings Juno like a ragdoll through the nearest wall.
The wall stood no chance and collapses by the sheer force!
Juno quickly picks herself up and dodges his next attack.
>
>
“Why don’t you find out for yourself?” He swings down his sword wanting to attack Noodles, but it avoids it.
The attacks from both sides become more vicious.
Perseus ruthlessly slashing his sword, while Juno furiously punches and kicks in any place she can.
But it seems like Perseus is targeting the snakes more than Juno herself.
She uses it to her advantage! When she finds an opening, she jumps high and kicks the sword out of hand!
They both watch it fall to the side with a loud clunk.
Strangely, instead of being upset, he laughs, “That was impressive! This is your first time fighting?”
