Sol Vestitor: New Age of God - Chapter 146
Hours passed since Sol was trapped under the crystal mountain, he was sweating bullets and numb from all the weight.
At some point, he ends up kneeling on the ground as the weight pushed him down, “Fuck, if I don’t do anything then I’m going to get flattened!” he cursed.
He tried to conjure ice pillars to push the weight up but it would get shattered instead of pushing the weight off from his back.
“Damn it, it’s like I’m carrying the sky on my back,” he lamented as he tried to get more strength.
Nai had tried to help him push the weight upward but it was useless, the crystal mountain was so heavy that its help barely counted.
“Should I advance to a minor demigod? It should help with this at least a bit. But it would be a waste if I don’t advance all three of my ability together,” he thought to himself.
Sol could already advance the healing dome and the knife aura but his sun ice ability still lagged behind, he would need at least a bit more to advance the ability.
“I need to find the missing piece,” he thought as he closed his eyes, he tried to recall what he knew about the ability.
Sun ice ability behaves like the sun but in reverse, rather than radiating heat, it absorbs heat, that way it grows bigger and stronger.
It could absorb heat from almost anything, including people, creatures, and the environment, overall it was a unique ability that went against universe law.
“What the sun ice ability needs are a way to be utilized even if there is no heat, just like in the mortal realm, there is no heat in the environment,” he analyzed.
he could feel his surroundings grew colder as the ice he conjured to push the mountain melted, suddenly he had an insight.
“the air grew colder! Even in the ice age such as the mortal realm, the air still grows colder! That means it still loses heat, being freezing cold doesn’t mean it could not lose more heat!” he realized
With that insight, he felt something got broken inside him, the demigod core inside him was about to advance.
Sol who was suppressing the other two core let them go and watch inwardly as all the three core advance.
It pulled him to the imaginary leam inside him, the three cores were rotating and shining, he could feel strength gather upon them as they spin even faster.
The sun ice core glowed white as he could see frost around it, the knife aura core glowed yellow as it spun like a top, and the healing dome core glow blood red as it spun.
“I can feel strength brimming in my body, my tiredness is fading!” he realized as he was still connected to his physical body.
Sol took the chance and got back to his two feet rather than keep kneeling on the ground, he did not feel the weight was as heavy anymore and he was still getting stronger.
He felt like it was an hour in his mind as the core spun and conjured things on its own, at first he did not know what they were making as the process was so slow in his eyes but after who knew how long, he could finally guess what it was.
Each core created an altar inside him, they were positioned to create a triangle with each other and he could see as each of the altars created a chain connecting to each other.
Each altar was connected to three chains, the first two connected to the other altar while the third connected to both altars at once.
“This is the symbolism of their combined ability” he realized as on each chain there was some kind of marking that signifies its ability, their material also looked different.
Between healing dome and sun ice was a diamond-like chain, even from far he could feel how dense the chain was.
Between the healing dome and knife aura was a glass-like chain, he could barely see it with his eyes but his sense told him it was there.
Between knife aura and sun ice was an elastic looking chain, they looked more like ropes than a chain.
At the center was the chain that connected to each of them, even Sol could not understand its property, it looked unlike anything he knew, he could only know that it had a limitless potential.
Once the altars and chains finished forming, he felt another change come from his body, his energy that was slowing down and becoming more efficient from Atlas’s technique stopped moving.
For the first time, he entered the limit break mode without even trying, it was like his body going on automatic.
The strange thing was, other than feeling his physical power went beyond what he could reach when he was a lesser demigod, he also felt another important detail, he didn’t feel like he has a limit on the ability, he could use it without limit.
It was only a moment before he regained control over his body and turned back to normal, to his surprise, the weakness did not come, he was able to use the ability without any drawback.
“Wow being a minor demigod increased my power by leap and bound, so this is the difference between rank,” he mused.
He tried to conjure this with his ability and he noticed a huge difference, with the sun ice ability, he could conjure anything anywhere as long as it’s within his sight, he could conjure even a hundred projectiles at once.
The knife aura ability was even more broken, he could conjure ten times faster than before and his range to conjure it upon other people increased to fifty meters instead of one meter.
The healing dome ability was as mysterious as always, he could conjure a complete body with the ability but they would be like a puppet since they don’t seem to have any soul.
“Hahahaha, with this I might be able to escape!” he laughs to himself.
He started to conjure more and more knife aura on his body, he did it for hours, he was waiting for the time limit of leaving the trial ground.
Before then he would need to gather as much aura as possible so he could do as he planned.
His plan was simple, Sol would conjure a lot of creatures and use them to hold the crystal mountain he expected them to be able to hold the mountain for at least a few minutes or second.
At that time gap, he would need to bring Nai with him and zap through the tunnel and get to the Trial ground’s escape before the creature could not hold on anymore and the trial ground collapsed on itself.
It was basically speedrunning like the fastest man alive, he would need to flash out before it’s too late.
“Well, it’s that or stays here for ten years,” he told himself.
In the trial ground, the number on his bracelet did not go down as it was technically not the underworld but Sol was sure that he would not be able to hold on for ten years in the trial ground.
Sol conjured a ton of knife aura on his body, Nia was tempted to eat it but he sternly declined its request.
“You can eat once we are out of here, or you want this to be your last meal,” he tried to compromise with the knife.
After that he looked at his bracelet to find that it was ten minutes before the trail ground closed, “I guess it’s time,” he thought.
Sol conjured dozens of giants, they looked like Atlas as he was the strongest specimen Sol knew, even though his conjured creature was not as strong as the real deal, at least it helped a bit.
They pushed the mountain a bit but Sol barely felt the weight lessen, he conjured hundred of Ice pillars to hold the mountain as well.
“If this is not enough then I don’t know what is,” He thought as he signed Nai to come close to him.
Sol stopped conjuring more knife aura as he used the limit-break ability, purple lightning started to cover his body and ice fog started to seep out of it.
The moment it happened, Sol let go of the crystal mountain and picked up Nai on his shoulder, he zapped through the tunnel.
He was so fast that he could feel the surroundings slow down before him, it took him only a second to get out of the tunnel and get to the surface.
He did not stop and run toward the supposed exit of the trial ground, that was if Tyx was not lying to him about it.
Once he reached the exit, he found a golden gate that was about to be closed, it was closing so slowly that it would take a few minutes to close, but what he feared was not it closing but the sky that was collapsing on his head.
“Fuck! Please make it!!!” he tried his best to reach the door
