Sol Vestitor: New Age of God - Chapter 147
“I won’t make it!” Sol realized as his speed fell short from allowing him to leave the training ground before it collapsed.
If only he just had a little bit more knife aura then he might be able to make it but with his current speed, he would not be able to make it.
“I can’t conjure it since I’m in demi-titan mode. How can I get even faster? Just a little bit will do!” his mind started to go on overdrive.
It was then that he realized he had a backup knife aura battery, it just happened it was on his shoulder, and currently wanted to drain his knife aura rather than helping.
“Nai, I want to borrow some knife aura, as much as possible if I can,” said the knife through their connection as talking would take too long.
“Eh? But, but, it would be inappropriate, wouldn’t it? I mean that’s kinda… you know? Intimate?” she shyly replied through their connection.
Sol did not have time to bother with its reaction as he could feel the mini-world around him was collapsing, once it collapsed, they would be no more.
“Just give it to me,” he said as he used the superior number of knife aura in his body to attract the knife aura in its body.
The knife started to shudder and shiver as it moved on his shoulder, he could sense it as its body grew tense.
“Ahhh…” its voice escaped as he robbed the aura out of it in a hurry.
Sol’s speed increased as he gained even more knife aura, even though the increase was minor compared to the number of knife aura that was already in his body, every drop helped.
The gate was just two meters away when space collapsed upon itself, Sol jumped headfirst through the gate, while at it he threw Nai first so it would not get caught up in the trial ground collapse.
His body started to collapse alongside the space just as his upper-body passed the gate, the trail ground finally collapsed upon itself.
Sol screams in pain as he rolls on the ground, even his increased regeneration was not enough to save him from the pain.
He hurriedly got out of the limit-break state and used the healing dome to heal his body to complete condition.
He gasped for breath as the pain faded, he needed more than a moment to recover from the intense pain of losing half of his body.
“Shit! That was so painful, I don’t want to feel such a pin ever again!” he cursed in his heart.
It was then he could finally check where he was, he was in the same room the city lord led them to, before entering the trial ground.
There was nobody in the room as everyone seemed to be back early, he did not know what Tyx had told the others but it seems everyone thought he died in the trial building.
“Just you wait Tyx, I will get my revenge!” he swore to himself.
He looked to the side to find Nai was laying on the ground weakly while still shivering with a silly expression.
“Ah, Sorry Nai, I will feed you immediately,” he hurriedly went to her side and held her face in his hand.
He started to let the aura he had accumulated flow back to the knife, it soon gained back some of its strength and pulled his hand and started to lick all over in greedily.
It did not take long for the knife to eat everything, he could feel himself dry from the knife aura as it sucked him dry.
It looked at him in the eye but soon averted its eyes to the side as its eyes started to swim.
Sol did not have time to notice how shy it looked as he could sense its power rise and started to catch up with him.
Just as it finished all the aura, it seems to evolve into a higher quality, he could sense that it became on par with minor demigods.
“Being an armament is so easy, just need to wait for the owner to advance and they could just follow afterward,” he thought in envy.
He did not know if such a living knife could still be categorized as his weapon but their connection as armament and its owner was still there.
“Ugh… It became a master-servant relationship now that it has sentience,” he muttered to himself.
“Anyway, I don’t have time to bother about it,” he thought as he hurriedly brought the knife out with him.
He started to conjure a knife aura to increase his speed and prepare for anything that would welcome him on the other side.
It would not be as overpowered as before as he did not have hours to accumulate aura but just a few minutes of accumulation could already increase his speed twice as fast as his normal speed.
Of course, he was worried that he would meet Atlas once more when he got out of the underground, he was afraid that the titan would kill him.
If he were to think, logically there would be no reason for the titan to kill him as it only needed him to escape its prison but he could not be sure as to who knew what a titan would think and do.
“It might see me as annoying and kill me,” he thought in worry.
After a few minutes, he reached a dead end as there was a wall of green crystal blocking the way forward.
“Right, I forgot about this,” he remembered that the way could only be opened by the city lord as the stairs were under his castle.
“Hmm I suppose I could only try to destroy this,” he thought as he conjured a longsword from the sun ice ability and healing dome ability.
He raised it to the top of his head as he channeled the knife aura to the sword, with all his strength he cut at the green crystal wall.
To his surprise, he could only cut a few centimeters to the green crystal, “Well it’s normal since a major demigod is another level of magnitude, they also have resistance to my ability since in a rank lower,” he realized.
“Fine, I will just need to do it over and over again,” he thought as purple lightning and ice fog started to come out of his body once more.
“Of course I could use the extra strength,” he thought as he did not need to bother about drawback anymore.
To his surprise, the purple lightning covered his sword as well, it seems that minor demi-titan could extend their strength to their weapon.
He raised the sword once more, with another swing, it cut through the green crystal with ease, not even the emerald could stop it.
“haha! demigod power doesn’t have any resistance toward demi-titan power!” he rejoiced.
His sword might have cut through but he would still need to do it dozens of times before he could make enough space to get out of there.
“Wait, the city lord supposed to sense this and let me out, why he haven’t come yet?” he suddenly realized.
“This is bad,” he thought he hastened his pace, he cut and kept cutting at the emerald wall in front of him.
After a few minutes, he finally came out of the underground stairway, what he saw outside shocked him to the bone.
The majestic castle was no more, he could see the sky directly as the roof was blasted by something unknown,
No people could be seen around him, or at least, no living people could be seen around him, it was a massacre.
People were headless as far as his eye could see, there was no sign of the city lord in the city and he could not sense anyone stronger than lesser demigod in the city even though he spread his sense as far as possible.
The city was destroyed, he could see buildings burning and a giant wall on the city wall far away, “What just happen?” He was shocked beyond belief, “Did Atlas do this?” he thought.
He wanted to ask people about what happened but no one could really tell him what happened, they just said there was a sudden explosion around the city lord manor and suddenly destruction appeared all around the city.
People were running from the city as it happened, only after the situation calmed down that they were brave enough to come back to the city.
“What about Tea and the other? Did they survive? I did not see anybody that looked like theirs,” he thought to himself.
The only other person who he could talk to was Nai but he knew the knife would not be much help as it only excelled in eating and fighting.
“I should find the, but will they follow our initial plan? They thought I died and the situation is very different from our plan. They might change the destination,” he was contemplating if he should continue to the gate of the underworld.
