Sol Vestitor: New Age of God - Chapter 176
“Major, who is that man? Is he a Titan? Why is he helping us?” a defender’s demigod asked his superior.
“I don’t know, I have no news about reinforcement, and I don’t think he is a Titan. Humans can’t be a titan!” a man answered.
“then what should we do? Should we help him?” another man asked.
“No, we will retreat to the city, there is no telling if he will attack us next, with our current condition it’s better if we retreat first,” he said.
“But, isn’t this our chance to beat the new god faction? If we miss this chance, then they will attack us again!”
“Are you stupid? Does that giant man look like he needs our help? Let’s run before he decides to attack us too!” another man disagreed.
“Let’s retreat, this is an order. If you want to fight, then fight by yourself!” the demigod’s leader said sternly.
“Yes, Sir!” the other replied before the retreat, leaving Sol fighting his enemy alone.
After the first demigod’s demise, the other demigods tried their best to defend against his attack. They combined their power to block his giant sword or to slow him down so they could dodge their attack, but they steadily lost ground.
Sol kept conjuring more and more knife aura, he became faster and faster; he aimed to kill another demigod with his giant sword, but a mix of metals and other elements formed a shield in front of him. It slowed him enough for the man to dodge.
But to their surprise, the man just lost his arm. He could dodge the sword, but he could not dodge the extended edge made of the knife aura.
The other demigod tried to pull the man back to put some distance but Sol would not let them go, he chased after them.
Wall after walls were conjured to block his path, but he just used his giant body to crush the wall, it could not hinder his path.
“Attack! If we defend all the time, then we will be killed eventually!” one of them shouted.
They started to send projectiles like bullets, arrows, and flying swords at him, but he did not care about their attack.
The projectiles hit his armor only to be bounced back, while other projectiles that could pierce the armor or hit an unarmored part had a hard time piercing his skin and flesh.
The healing dome was reinforcing his enlarged body, it could be said that he had acquired a defense surpassing normal minor demigods.
“Combine our attack! We need to injure him first!” they tried to coordinate.
Sol dodged a large attack coming toward his stomach but suddenly an invisible attack pierced his shoulder, a giant gaping hole was opened and blood was flowing freely.
“Take that! Do you think the god of prophecy only grants us the power to see the future?” one of them jeered at him.
“Sol, Why didn’t you dodge that?” Nai, who had regressed to a supporting role since she could not hit her opponent, asked through their bond.
“Dodge what? I couldn’t even see the attack coming!” he retorted in his mind.
“HUH?! Don’t tell me you are blind? Their attack was so big that it’s practically impossible to not see it! Even if you don’t want to see it, you will see it!” Nai pointed out.
Sol’s smile could not help but spasm in annoyance from the knife’s sarcasm, “I could not see it, It may be their power, next time they attack, just tell me about it,” he ordered.
Sol healed his body and armor, the wound closed within a second; the demigods were slack-jawed when they realized their attack was meaningless.
“Fuck you! You monster! Next time we will obliterate your face so you can’t regenerate!” one of them cursed at him.
Sol continued after them when Nai warned him that there was a giant Sword trying to cleave his head.
“I can’t see them, what happened? Can they really make things invisible? But why is it only me who can’t see it? Maybe it’s not making the thing invisible, but they are messing with my senses!” he realized.
He raised both of his giant swords and crossed them above his head; he was bracing for impact, but since he could not see the attack coming, it still took him by surprise. The sword was bigger than he thought, the power behind it pushed him down to his knee.
Once the sword connected with his swords, he could finally see the giant blade above him. It was five meters long
“Sol, there is another one coming!” The knife warned him, but he was too occupied with the giant sword to dodge the incoming attack.
He conjured a large sun ice barrier in front of him while directing all the knife aura he had to his swords.
His swords were finally strong enough to shatter the giant blade into pieces when his barrier shattered and an invisible projectile went toward him.
“Huh? I thought the projectile would be visible once it hit something,” he wondered as he dodged the attack.
He could predict its trajectory from the point of the barrier that gets shattered, the projectile passes him and hits nothing.
“Is that you best? Over forty demigods could not beat me? Are you sure you are fit to call yourself a demigod?” he taunted them.
He went after them once more when he suddenly saw a projectile coming toward Nai. It did not try to dodge it was then that Sol realized it could not see or sense the attack coming.
Sol aborted his attack and tried to block that attack, but he was too late. The projectile shattered her pure white head.
He could only look in horror at his body standing there, “Fuck! They knew that it was warning me!” he cursed.
He was about to feel sad and angry, but something came through their bond; he knew it was alright. The shattered head was mending back together like the time had been rewind.
“Ah! As long as its main body is alright, it won’t die,” he finally realized.
Once he was sure that the knife was alright, he turned at the group of demigods in anger, “Now you have done it! I will shatter each of your heads for what you have done!”
The demigods started to panic and tried to run when suddenly one of them, Stab another man on the head.
Soon, all the other minor demigods also stabbed each other, until only one of them was left. Sol tried to stop them, but he was too late.
Suddenly one of them grew stronger and stronger. If he was to compare it, then the man had become as strong as the remnant of apollo.
“You guys are crazy! Killing your friend like it’s nothing!” Sol complained.
“They will die anyway! It’s better that we use them to be stronger! Moreover, the new gods will revive them once they beat the current gods! We have seen it in our prophecy!” the man said in conviction.
“Fuck! This man is crazy! He actually believes in prophecy, didn’t he say that prophecy can be changed? It’s most probably the new god’s bullshit!” he cursed.
Sol was sure that there was no returning from the underworld since the underworld currently in an apocalypse, most people’s souls will perish if they went into the underworld.
“Now it’s time for you to die!” the man shouted as another invisible projectile came toward Sol.
With Nai directing him, he knew that a giant spear of stone was coming toward him. He hurriedly tried to catch it with both of his arms, but it was so strong that it pushed him a dozen meters back.
It was then he realized that his arms could not move. From the point he touched the now visible stone spear, his hands were turning into stone.
Fuck! He tried to pull his arm only for the flesh pard and stone part to break, but he did not care. He hurriedly dodged as another spear was coming toward him.
It was then that he realized that from his missing arm, the petrifaction still growing, it almost reached his shoulder.
“Damn It!” he cursed as he tried to heal his arm but failed as it turned into stone.
Suddenly two giant blades cut both of his remaining arms at the shoulder. He gritted his teeth as Nai had decided to help by cutting his arm off.
“Fuck! Can’t you warn me before doing that?!” he cursed loudly this time.
He used his healing done and both of his arms had become as good as new, but he still could not reach the demigod as there were too many projectiles coming his way.
“Fuck! He could predict my movement, he is blocking my path with his projectiles!”
“Sol your arm!” suddenly Nai warned him.
When he realized both of his hands had turned into stone once more, it already reached his shoulder.
“Damn, his power is still working on me! How do I get rid of this?!”
