Sol Vestitor: New Age of God - Chapter 179
“Damn, she is not opening her temple. But, what is wrong with the temple, why is there no flame there? I have a bad feeling about this,” Sol thought as he hurried back to the gate.
“Sir, the gate is functional. Do you want me to talk with the other side first or…” The man about to ask when Sol cut him off.
“NO, I’m going right away, I don’t have time for your diplomacy,” He directly activated the gate with his power and passed through the gate.
“Who is there! Stop! We will need to check for your identity before you continue forward!” A man tried to stop him, but Sol did not have time for his nonsense.
He had accumulated a knife aura since he found out about the temples. He dashed toward a nearby gate.
The people guarding it tried to stop him but he just conjured an ice cage around them and absorbed most of the heat from their body so they went into hibernation.
“This is bad, Something is happening!” Sol lamented as he jumped through another gate.
He continued with the same routine for sixteen jumps before he got to the city he fought the firebird.
“Sir, you are here!” the guard recognized him.
“Huh? Who is this man? He needs to stay with the protocol and interrogate him first!” another guard said.
“I don’t have time for that,” Sol said simply before he dashed away.
“Sto—,” the man tried to stop him but his friend held him down.
“He is a hero that helped this city in the past. He must have his reason to suddenly appear and go in a hurry,” he said.
“I need to prepare for a war, there is a high chance that they are surrounding the mini-world already!” he thought as he conjured a lot of compressed sun ice crystals around him.
He could see the mini-world’s gate from afar, it had grown so big that it could be seen from under the mountain.
He could see a lot of attack landing on the gate, but they could only damage it a bit before it mends itself, like time was moving back.
“I need to hurry!” he could sense that the gate could not mend endlessly, it took a lot from the mini-world to protect itself.
He flashed through the mountain as his body expanded and he entered the giant mode. Knife Aura kept gathering, and he tried his best to move in a straight line to save more time.
Sol cut down anything blocking his way, whether its creature or trees, nothing could stop his advance.
Soon he saw an army gathered around the gate. He could also feel from his connection with the mini-world that he could tap on its power.
A giant sword appeared on his hand, and he started to cut through the back of the army. It created chaos as they did not expect to get attacked from behind.
A lot of demigods tried to attack him, but Sol started to scatter the crystals he had been conjuring all this time.
It spread all through the army and they tried to attack it but the moment they touched the crystal; it grew and trapped each of them in ice. It absorbed their body heat until none remained.
“Dodge it!” a man shouted, but the crystal exploded and ice started to grow everywhere. It trapped everyone in ice before absorbing their body heat room.
He was about to continue killing when a sound resounds in his head, “Sol! Don’t fight the, come inside the gate now!” Nerodia’s voice resounds in his head.
“huh?” he did not know why he needed to get into the mini-world, but he did anyway.
He passed the frozen army, but before he could get there, the ice behind him cracked, and dozens of people that he recognized as major demigods appeared from the ice.
“Fuck!” he cursed as attacks started to go after him, but before they could touch him, time seemed to stop.
“Hurry! I can’t keep this up forever!” Nerodia’s strained voice could be heard from the door.
Sol took a step into the mini world to find it completely different from the world he remembered.
The world was no longer a small frozen place, but it changed into a giant world. From his connection to the world, he knew that there were millions of creatures living in the mini world.
“There are so many lesser demigods! This place is no worse than the underworld!” he exclaimed.
He was about to find out more when he sensed a minor demigod coming toward him. He thought it was Nerodia, but the moment she arrived, Sol lost his word.
“Dad! You are back!” a young girl hugged him.
She looked beautiful, Nerva was different than how he left her, she looked like she was on her 19, but her cat ear and silver hair make it impossible for him to not recognize her.
He patted her head just like he used to, “It’s been a long time, you have become so beautiful, dad misses you so much,” he said gently.
For him, it was just half a year, but suddenly the little girl had become an adult. Despite all that, he still thinks of her as the little kitten he raised before.
“Ah! We got to go, sister Nerodia is waiting for you dad!” She suddenly said.
“Wait! How about the demigod outside?” he asked.
“They can wait, the mini world is currently way faster than the outside world, an hour on the outside world is equal to a year here!” She explained.
“What? How did she do that?” Sol was shocked.
“She is borrowing power from the other, but we can’t hold on any longer, let’s go fast!” she pulled him.
“Sol! You finally here!” Nerodia looked in relief once he reached the pantheon building.
“What is going on here?” He asked when he found a lot of demigods laying on the floor.
“They will be fine, they just use their power to sustain this world,” she explained.
“Then, why do you need me here?” He asked the girl.
“It’s time for us to cash in our investment! I can’t do it when you are away!” he exclaimed.
“What? How to get our investment?” he asked her.
She took him to the throne room between their pantheon building and told him to sit on his while she sat on hers.
She read out some chants before strength suddenly flowed into him. Previously he could only get some of the demigod’s insight, but at that moment, he got a bit of their power while they grew a bit stronger as well.
Getting a bit from millions of demigods pushed him beyond his limit, something seems to be happening in him. When he looked inside his inner world, he found the altars inside him started to turn into temples.
“I’m becoming a Major demigod just like that!” he was shocked when the transformation finished.
Once both of them advanced, he got up from his seat, “I will take care of the people outside,” he said, but Nerodia stopped him.
“No!” he was about to ask why when a stronger presence appeared outside the mini-world.
“The New Gods are here! Why are they here?!” Sol asked in shock.
“They are targeting Nerva! We need to be stronger, I can sustain this time difference now that I advanced, I will try to maximize the time difference!” Nerodia said.
“What do we do?” Sol asked.
“We need to be a lesser god to even have a chance against them!” she said.
“But, we don’t have the resources to do so…” she trailed.
“What if I have this?” Sol pulled out the Styx’s statue and the hydras.
“This is?!” Nerodia asked in shock. She recognized both of them.
“Sol, you have healing power, right? We can keep healing the hydra for resources, and we can also use the statue to let everyone become a minor demigod!” All we need is time, and some lock so either of us can be a lesser god!” Nerodia got excited.
“how long do you think we need?” he asked.
“A hundred-year minimum,” she said.
“Fuck! Those below major demigods will die at that time!” he cursed.
“everyone will die eventually, and they can just try to advance, right? With the hydra here, we can farm as much resource as we need! I will try to hasten the mini-world time to the limit and do as my plan! If you don’t want to help, then just rot at the corner somewhere!” she said.
“Fuck! Fine! I will help, but I have this to do first!” he said before he turned to Nerva.
“Nerva, where is the other? I will help them become a major demigod, even if it’s the last thing I do!” he said.
“They are resting dad, they used too much of their power to sustain the time difference too, I will take you to them,” Nerva replied before she led him to a sandcastle.
