Sona, A Goddess Queen In A Modern World. - Chapter 18
With the audience a little sad, Sona would now play the music that she had created that induced the person’s subconscious to listen to the animated music that they liked the most and drove the feeling that she felt about the music.
Sona saved the microphone again and started playing. The whole room was quietly waiting to hear what music she would play, and not being disappointed, the music they heard made each one more and more lively.
Before Jeff knew it, a lot of people were jumping and screaming in animation. The drinks were being drunk even faster during this song and when someone’s drink ran out, the person quickly went to the counter to buy more to drink while listening to the favorite song.
As the dollar signs in his eyes became more and more golden, he found a smile that made him swallow dry. Madison was looking at him with a look that said, ‘You know you should pass some of that profit on to her, right?
Jeff reluctantly nodded his head accordingly. He knew that not even the band GeekGadGets would boost both his sales and Angela was boosting, to maintain a good relationship for her to play there again, he would need to give up some more benefits.
When the song ended, people were so excited that they were almost breaking things. Sona let out a little laughter and imagined it was because they were in a bar where people like to rock.
Seeing the little laughter she let out, some people were delighted while others were a little ashamed that they had come to this state.
Sona took the microphone again and said. “That reaction was really a little unexpected to me, but I think in a positive way?”
“I’m sure it was positive!” A lively man shouted.
“I loved the music!” Said a woman almost breaking a bottle in animation.
“It was like I was listening to Guns N’ Roses!” Said a man with long hair.
“I felt like I was listening to Avril Lavigne!” A big man said unconsciously.
“What?” asked a friend next to him.
“Did you say what?” asked another friend of his.
“I had to have that recorded, hahahaha.” He laughed at another friend of his.
When the big man realized that he had said excitedly that the song he heard was from Avril Lavigne, he was quickly embarrassed, as he always gave the impression of liking heavy rock.
“Well, since many said they wanted me to sing little tonight, I’ll sing my last song now.” Sona said with a provocative look.
When the public heard that, they got desperate. They thought she’d sing for at least an hour, now hearing that this would be the last song they got angry.
“Tell me who told you to sing little that I’ll teach him a lesson!” Said the man who looked like a bear.
“Yeah! Tell me who it is that I’m gonna hit that person until she gets uglier than that guy.” Said a man while pointing at the fat boy who looked like a pig.
Hearing someone call him ugly, the chubby boy got angry and started to go on top of the man to fight. The people around him held him because they knew he’d get it.
The fight started and in the end a teenager asked Sona. “Are you really just gonna play one more song? Play more songs, please!”
Sona listening to the girl’s question answered. “Well, I actually arranged with Jeff to play just 20 minutes, but don’t worry, I’ll play a song you’ll never forget.” She said with a confident look.
The audience hearing this turned with an angry glance towards Jeff, implying that it was not his fault that she sang much, while Jeff felt a cold sweat dripping down his forehead. ‘I don’t know who’s scarier, the mother or daughter…’ he thought.
Sona went into the microphone and presented a song for the first time. “Well, to finish, I’ll sing you Your Own Story, I hope you like it.”
When Sona started playing the music, the reaction of people was different from all the reactions they had when they heard some music.
…
Jenny, that was the name of the teenager who asked Sona the question. She had listened to the other songs and soon became a fan of this novice singer’s face. Now when the fourth song started to play, what she started to feel was different from anything she’d ever felt in her life.
First she began to mentally see a baby being born, in bed giving birth was a woman she knows very well, her mother.
After a few years, the baby grew up becoming a very pretty girl, becoming more and more like Jenny.
When the baby became a 5-year-old, she was starting to make new friends and enjoy her childhood.
When little Jenny reached the age of 15, she had the happiest birthday party of her life, with all her friends present, with a lot of people giving her prestige.
When Jenny reached the age of 16 she kissed for the first time, and it was the boy she liked.
When Jenny reached the age of 18, she had studied hard and entered a good university for law school, which she always dreamed of.
When Jenny turned 30 and was waiting for the result for the contest she did to become a judge, everything disappeared.
Looking around, Jenny saw herself again in the bar listening to the girl with blue hair touching, she felt a euphoria in her ċhėst. She had experienced the story of what had happened in her life in the past, of things that were happening in the present, and perhaps what might happen in the future, but the story stopped at its best. From the reaction she saw from other people, it seems that with her the story was also over before something very important would happen.
“What did you think of [Your Own Story]?” Sona asked with a calm look on his face, already waiting for their reaction.
“Why is it over? It was in the best part! Touch more, I want to know how it ends!” Someone screamed.
“Yes! Please play more, I want to know if I’d get married or not.” A woman said.
“I need to know whether or not I could become a professional basketball player.” A tall man said.
“I need to know if I could succeed in my career.” Another man said.
“I need to know if I would become CEO of the company.” A woman said.
…
Everyone was wondering if they would get what they wanted in life, but Sona knew it would happen, she intentionally stopped touching that part. “Do you know why the song is called [Your Own Story]? That is exactly why this is your own story, and whether you can achieve this result or not depends on you. Whether you’re going to put enough effort into it or just procrastinate, it’s all up to you, you’re the writer of your own story.” She said in a quiet voice as she saw the flames of motivation burning in people’s eyes.
