Sorceress 101 - Chapter 343
“What is it??? Tell me. Did you saw something inside the Jar of Misfortune???”
Noticing the weird reaction coming from her students, Teacher Nana decided to ask them further.
But Long Yue only nodded his head as a response.
Fear was still clearly written on his face and it was also evident on his pair of eyes that he used to stare back at his teacher and this goes the same with Mu Lingxi
The only consolation that Teacher Nana could get at the current situation was that at the very least, Mu Lingxi and Long Yue’s face was already starting to regain its normal color
Unlike the pale complexion before that made them looked as if all the blood in their face were drained and sapped dry
“Is it really that scary????”
As much as she could, Teacher Nana always tried to avoid getting involved with her students’ personal matters.
Because she did not want to appear nosy in her students’ affairs.
However, this time, Teacher Nana felt the need to get herself involved.
Considering that her students’ were acting weird and their reaction was way beyond the meter of what could be considered normal.
“It’s—–”
“ITS NOTHING!”
Long Yue was just about to describe to Teacher Nana what they saw inside the Jar of the Misfortune when Mu Lingxi suddenly grabbed a hold of his hand to cut him off.
Then right after that, she answered in his stead.
“It’s nothing serious, Teacher Nana. Don’t mind us.. HE- HE- HE”
Mu Lingxi added as she gave them a nervous laugh.
“Are you sure you guys will be fine????”
Teacher Nana could feel for certain that there was something off with Mu Lingxi’s reaction at that time.
But as skeptical as she was, Teacher Nana knew to herself that she could not force her students into telling her what exactly did they saw inside the Jar of Misfortune.
If they really did not wish to tell it to her or to anyone, then there was nothing she could do about it.
After all, that thing that they saw might concern their personal matters or much more.
Maybe it might also compromise their private lives, that was why they were reluctant to share it with someone else, in the first place
Magus Academia used to host students coming from different background and most of these young aspiring warlocks and sorceresses came from prestigious origins.
Each of their students’ family backgrounds was no laughing matter and one might even get themselves killed if they accidentally stepped in someone else scheme or conspiracy.
After all, schemes and conspiracy were common things among the powerful organizations and clans.
So as part of teaching personnel of a prestigious school of magic,
it already became an unspoken rule among them that they should only always avoid getting themselves involved with their students’ affairs.
If they wanted to preserve their peaceful life, then their relationship with their students should not go beyond the four corners of the classroom at all costs.
So left with no choice Teacher Nana could only ask them that one last question to ascertain if they were really alright.
“Of course, yes. We certainly do. Right, Long Yue??”
Once more, Mu Lingxi replied with fake sincerity. Shen even used her elbow to secretly nudged Long Yue at his side prompting him to play along with her skit.
“Y-yes we do! That’s right. We are good. We were just startled that was it. Nothing much”
Although Long Yue was not sure why his friend was trying to hide the truth from their teacher, he still helped her to cover up.
Somehow, he had complete trust over this friend of his and he reckoned that Mu Lingxi had her reasons for doing so.
“Okay then, if you say so.”
Teacher Nana said when the two young warlocks gave her an affirmative answer.
Then she turned to face the whole class again and announced,
“Alright, class. Now that you already see for yourself the various enchanted artifacts that have been displayed in this emporium, what I want you guys to do next was for each of you to pick a specific artifact of your liking and make a thorough research about it. We will have a reporting o our next meeting. Class dismissed!”
With that being said, Teacher Nana called off the class to and made her way back to the Teacher Hall all by herself.
“MEOW”
[Reporting??? So that kind of student torture also exists in this world, after all.]
Janus could still remember how his master used to stay up late at the night during her college days just to prepare for all those reports.
“Uhhrrggg… I hate reporting. TSK!”
One of the things that Mu Lingxi hated most about being a student was doing a report.
It never came to her mind that after transmigrating to a different world, she would have to do reporting again.
Meanwhile, as Mu Lingxi was busy despairing over her most dreaded part of student life, the other student warlocks and sorceresses of the Red Realm were also having a discussion among themselves.
“That was it????? Isn’t it today’s lesson a bit too quick???”
“Yeah, but she left us something to do though? I guess I need to stay up late tonight.”
“Reporting? Does it mean we got to speak in front of the class?? Ahhhrrgg… I hate speaking in front of a huge audience..”
The student warlocks and sorceresses talked among themselves about their complaints as soon as Teacher Nana was already out of earshot.
Indeed, just like what the students had observed, Teacher Nana’s lesson for that day could be said to be brief compared to the normal half-day sessions that usually lasted for around four hours or so.
She just brought them in the EVERYTHING EMPORIUM, had them look around the place, told them to get ready for reporting for the next meeting and that’s it.—- CLASS DISMISSED.
Isn’t it odd and not to say, pointless that the time they used to travel back and forth from their classroom and Majika was greater than the time that they actually spent inside the general store itself to study?
