Sorceress - Chapter 266
“HAHAHAHAHA”
If the sorceresses of the Silver Arrows were all frustrated because of this sudden turn of event, of course, it was the opposite for Mu Lingxi’s group.
Mu Lingxi and her friends all shared joyful laughter as they made their way in Sanguine Tundra.
It was only their laughter that could betray their presence.
Because apparently they were still in their invisible form since the spell that they cast among themselves had yet to subside.
To be honest they all felt a bit hopeless at the dire situation that they had been back there.
They thought they were already trapped and it would just take a matter of time before those sorceresses will find out about the ancient chalice on their possession.
It was all thanks to Janus’ wise idea of startling the horses that they managed to get away from them.
That was a close call!
It was also at this time that the group finally noticed their surroundings.
They proceeded to look for the exit of Sanguine Tundra, but the group realized that the reddish-brown ambient light of place was also starting to fade.
The entire place was now starting to have the normal ambient light.
It seemed that the sudden ‘bleeding’ of the place is the one that resulted in these changes.
Because the more the place bleed, the more the sanguine ambient light fades.
It was like the ‘bleeding’ was washing away the dried blood that covered the area.
But whether it was a good sign or not, the group have no idea at all.
The ambient light of Sanguine Tundra continued to look more natural the more it bleeds.
Yet they soon started to notice more weird things about the place. For some reason, the ‘bleeding’ of the place went on without any sign of stopping.
But what is more weird about it is that the hot steam drifting from the ground seemed to cause the ‘blood’ to coagulate and flow in one specific direction.
And with some stroke of darned luck, it seemed like it was also heading somewhere around the same direction that they were heading.
Because apparently, it was like the flowing blood-like substance was following them!!!
Imagine being followed by flowing blood.
That is definitely not funny at all, right?
Well, Mu Lingxi’s group is not having fun either.
They urge for Chan Gu to locate the exit of Sanguine Tundra as soon as possible.
But to their dismay, it looks like that even the Nexus Portal can’t do their group any help this time.
Chan Gu had been trying to access the Nexus Portal for quite some time now, but it seemed like it suddenly stopped working inside the Sanguine Tundra.
It was as if some invisible force was interfering with the Nexus Portal to locate the exit of the place!
They might have escaped the encirclement of those sorceresses but they soon found themselves baffled with another problem.
They were trapped!!!!
And they were not just simply trap
Because a flowing blood-like substance seems to be following behind them as well
Not to mention that there is also a group of sorceresses that was lurking in the area and most likely searching for them as well right now.
Ohhh.. just what kind of darned luck they had?!!!
They have tried switching route but to no avail. The flowing blood-like substance just keeps on following them wherever they go.
They did not dare allow the blood-like substance to get near them so they never rested even for a bit.
Out of fear for the flowing blood-like substance catching up at them.
They were continuously on the move but it seemed that the blood-like substance had no plan getting left behind as well.
The more they make haste, the quicker it flows too!
After an hour of running around like that, they soon realized that it was actually following Yun Xue.
Because when they tried taking different directions all at the same time, and the blood-like substance finally caught up with them, it all flows only towards Yun Xue’s location.
The moment that it flows under Yun Xue’s shoes, he soon found himself stuck on where he was standing.
He can’t even lift up his feet and so the blood-like substance started to make its way up to his stranded body!
Mu Lingxi and the others tried casting different kinds of spells to ward off the blood-like substance but it does not look like it was working.
It continued to inch little by little up to Yun Xue’s body until it reached half of his body.
Before going further to his right arm and flowing next to his finger where he was wearing his storage ring.
As soon as the flowing blood-like substance reached Yun Xue’s finger that was wearing the storage ring, Yun Xue felt that his ring was starting to heat up.
It did not take long for the storage ring to burn on his skin so he had no choice but remove it.
When he removed the storage ring in his finger, the blood-like substance also followed the storage ring in his hand.
Then when he throws it to the ground a few feet away from him, the blood-like substance left his body and flows straight to the direction where the storage ring was thrown
Seeing as how the blood-like substance left his body as quick as that, Yun Xue and the rest of his friends heaved a sigh of relief all at the same time.
But they soon realized what was wrong.
Their eyes all went on big circles and their jaw almost dropped on the ground when they finally recall what was on Yun Xue’s storage ring.
It is the ancient chalice!!!!!
The chalice that they should not allow to be opened by any means!
But before they could even do something about it, Yun Xue’s storage exploded and all its contents shoot out from it like firecrackers.
“THE HELL!!!!”
That’s all that Yun Xue managed to say as he watched all his treasures being reduced into ruins.
But more than that, what worries them most is the ancient chalice that should not be opened.
And as if their greatest nightmare was about to come true, they saw a cloud of smoke drifting out from the mouth of the ancient chalice
Its cover was removed!!!!!
It seemed like that the blood-like substance was actually aiming for the ancient chalice that was stored inside Yun Xue’s storage ring all this time!
The more blood-like substance that flowed inside the chalice, the bigger the smoke it produces.
They knew that something was about to happen now that the ancient chalice was accidentally left open.
But they were too shocked to even move from where they stood, much more to think of a plan or a countermeasure right at that time
