Sorceress - Chapter 281
‘Knock! Knock! Knock!
“Come in”
When they entered the office, the group saw that Schoolmaster Yin was still busy reading the school reports.
And it doesn’t look like he will going to finish it anytime soon. Because apparently, there was still a lot of these same reports that he had to check.
The group can notice as much as that since it was an obvious case base from the high pile of papers resting at the side of Schoolmaster Yin’s table.
Well, at least it works to their advantage that Schoolmaster Yin was still up at this time of the night.
“What brought you here?”
Schoolmaster Yin asked the group as soon as they sat down.
It won’t come as a surprise if Schoolmaster Yin will going to admit that he was baffled in meeting them. After all, he did not expect to receive a guest in this ungodly hour.
He was visibly curious to know what could have prompted this group of young warlocks to give him a sudden visit in this ungodly hour.
So Schoolmaster Yin left what he was doing and focused on the group of warlocks before him
“Schoolmaster Yin, we are very sorry to disturb you this late of the night. But we came to find you because we badly needed your help. It’s about our friend.”
As he said that, Fan Lei looked at Mu Lingxi. He gestured to his friend to give her a signal that it was about time for her to show Schoolmaster Yin the handprint that she got to her right arm.
The handprint was now slightly faded compared to how it looked like earlier but it was still visible.
“Schoolmaster, I dreamed of the lady trapped in the ancient chalice and in my dream, she grabbed my arms. Then when I woke up, I already have this one—”
Mu Lingxi recounted everything that happened to her dreams. Including the fact that it has been a recurrent dream to her for these past few days.
Mu Lingxi told Schoolmaster Yin everything without hiding a single thing.
While Mu Lingxi was retelling her story, Schoolmaster Yin also focused on her every word. He was listening attentively and was careful not to miss out on any detail from her story.
“So you mean to say, you have been having this same dream about that lady in the chalice for over a week now and it started ever since you left the Sanguine Tundra???”
Schoolmaster Yin asked with a tight frown on his face after Mu Lingxi was done telling her story.
“Yes, Schoolmaster Yin. That is exactly what is going on.’
Mu Lingxi, on the other hand, gave him an affirmative answer to his question.
“I see…”
Schoolmaster Yi nodded his head. He put his hand under his chin and pondered over the situation, before continuing.
“To be honest, I’m not too sure yet how did the other party managed to establish a connection with you. But I will look through it. In the meantime, please wear this moon necklace first. This will ward off with harmful spirits.”
Schoolmaster Yin handed Mu LIngxi a necklace as he said that. The necklace has a small pendant that looks like a full moon.
After giving his word that he will look through the matter, Schoolmaster Yin dismissed the group. But not before giving Long Yue a heads up about Luna’s condition.
Since the group already had the effort of going to his office, Schoolmaster Yin believed that it won’t hurt them if he will going to tell them a piece of good news.
Although he did not expect at he will going to return the white cat in this way.
“Your beast will going to wake up anytime soon now. I think it would take at least around a week before she could get fully recovered.”
Then with a flick of her finger, a sleeping white cat materializes in thin air.
“You can take her with you now. I’m already done removing all the aura of the undead that was left on her body.”
“Thank you, Schoolmaster Yin. Thank you so much!”
Long Yue was so delighted when he heard about the good news. He was over the clouds to the point that tears were starting to wet his eyes.
He did not expect that his sudden visit to Schoolmaster Yin’s office will end this way for him.
He hugged the sleeping Luna tightly and caressed its white fur before kissing her forehead and placing it back to the folded space.
“We will be taking our leave then, Schoolmaster Yin. Thank you so much for your help and sorry again for the inconvenience.”
Long Fuzi said as they bid their farewell to Schoolmaster Yin. The last thing they saw before leaving is Schoolmaster Yin’s smile
“It’s not a bother at all.”
They heard Schoolmaster Yin saying before the door finally closed behind them.
However, when the group of warlocks was no longer in sight and no one is around anymore, Schoolmaster Yin’s expression did an abrupt change.
His usual heartwarming and welcoming smile faded and it turned into a savage one. The corner of her lips crooked at the side and there was a malevolent light that flashes on his eyes.
“How dare you play a trick behind my back???!”
Schoolmaster Yin said menacingly then after that, he flicked his hand and the ancient chalice appeared before him.
The chalice rocked back and forth as if someone was trying to escape out from it. But the tight cover above the ancient chalice was preventing the lady from escaping.
“You will going to stay inside that chalice forever and you will be with me for all eternity. Don’t even dream about escaping.”
He said maniacally as he caressed the ancient chalice.
The crazy smile and eyes that he was sporting right now, is far fetched different from the usual warm, dependable, kind, calm and wise old man personality of Schoolmaster Yin that was known to many.
No one hasn’t seen this other side of him for a very long time now.
