Sorceress - Chapter 325
“Long Yue, is there something we need to know??? What happened to Luna? Aren’t she okay now??”
Long Fuzi asked his brother further when he saw that the other party seemed to have a hard time expressing his thought.
Long Yue’s facial expression right now looked no different from someone who had just swallowed something awful.
His face contorted in different ways and it was like the words that he was about to say were stuck in the back of his throat
“Long Yue, it’s okay. If you really don’t wish to tell us yet then so be it.”
Yun Xue said after a while.
But from the way he said it, it seemed that he was rather offended to Long Yue.
Well, no one could blame Yun Xue for feeling that way either.
After all, it was indeed disheartening to know if a friend of yours was deliberately hiding something from you.
The rest of his other friends felt the same way too.
Of course, they all wanted to understand Long Yue’s side.
Maybe there was just really something that he could not disclose yet.
Maybe there was something about Luna that he could not get himself to reveal yet.
But despite telling themselves those reasons, it would be a lie if they would say that they were totally fine and cool with it.
Mu Lingxi and the others still could not help themselves but feel slightly disappointed about the matter.
Because it was like their friend, Long Yue, did not trust them enough.
That was why he was refusing to tell them what was happening to Luna.
Long Yue knew that his actions could very much likely disappoint his friends to some degree.
Right now, they might be thinking that he had little trust for them, that was why he was hiding something from them.
He did not wish to be misunderstood by his friends that way. As such the situation was really bothering him as much as it was to his friends.
“I’m sorry guys. It is not that I did not trust you all. I just thought that things will be sorted out after a few days so I just tried to handle it on my own.”
Well apparently, it is not that Long Yue was deliberately hiding something from his friends.
It was just that he did not want to inconvenience them any further or to worry them anymore.
Just like what he said, he initially thought that everything would be fine and sorted out as long as they wait for a few more days.
He thought that it was nothing important so instead of telling them his concern regarding Luna’s condition, he just decided to face it himself.
Besides, he did not think that it was a serious matter that needed full attention from all of them.
Luna was indeed awake and fine now.
But it just so happen that there was something in Luna that made Long Yue think that something was wrong.
Something seemed to be different from the Luna that he used to know.
It was like after Luna woke up from her coma and recovered her consciousness again, something had changed to her.
There was something about her that was different from how she used to be before their encounter with the army of the undead.
But Long Yue could not put his finger to what exactly was that ‘thing’ that makes him feel that way.
He was not sure what exactly about Luna that made him feel something was off.
At first, Long Yue reckoned that the slight air of indifference from Luna could be due to the fact that the other party had been in an unconscious state for a long time.
And perhaps after a few days of rest, she would revert back to her former self.
So he left Luna to herself for a few more days not allowing anyone to disturbed her.
But almost a week had passed already since Luna woke up, yet nothing changed.
Long Yue could still not shake that same feeling that there was something different to his cat.
Right from the moment, he saw Luna woke up, Long Yue instantly felt this certain feeling of strangeness and indifference towards his pet cat Luna.
It would have been good if this feeling of strangeness slowly dissipated after some time.
But what happened was the contrary
As days continued to pass by, this same feeling of strangeness and indifference started to build a wall between the master and his pet.
Long Yue knew that the more he tried to hide the truth to his friends, the more likely that they would misunderstand his intention.
So instead of explaining himself he just invited his friends inside the folded space where Luna was currently being kept.
Rather than putting himself in a tight spot where he would have the trouble to put his feelings into words, he would just let them see the situation for themselves.
“I honestly don’t know how I could explain it to you guys, so just have a look for yourself then and you will definitely understand why I did it in the first place.”
Long Yue said with a despondent tone on his voice.
Then with a flicked of his hand, Mu Lingxi and the rest of his friends disappeared into thin air one after another.
Not a moment later, their room was already empty since everyone went all inside the folded space.
The interior of the folded space looked exactly the same just how it looked before when they purchased it.
Long Yue did not alter to any of its design and leave it as it is.
The place where they were currently at was an artificial room that was put inside a walnut-sized artifact.
Yet despite that fact, the room inside the folded space looked no different from a normal room, although the one that they have right now did not have any door or windows at all
Its walls were painted with the color of ivory white, making the room looked more spacious than it already was.
The room was already spacious, to begin with. In fact, it could fit all six of them inside without them getting cramped.
There was barely any furniture inside the room aside from a single wooden chair and bed, and it only made the place looked rather empty.
On the corner of the room sat the single bed that Luna used during her recovery period.
When their eyes finally landed on the bed, that as the only time that the group realized what was odd.
“Where is Luna???”
