Sorceress - Chapter 326
“Where is Luna???
Asked Mu Lingxi as she looked around the room.
The rest of the group also had the same question in their minds but decided against voicing that out since their friend already did it.
There was simply nowhere for Luna to hide considering that the place was pure wall and bed.
So if they fail to see Luna on her bed and around the room, then it only goes to say that the other party was missing.
Mu Lingxi and the others were shocked when they realized it, but what surprised them, even more, was Long Yue’s reaction.
From how he looked, it did not seem that he cared if Luna was missing or not.
It was like he expected as much as this to happen.
Instead of giving his friends an explanation, Long Yue just nodded his head and directed his gaze under the bed.
The rest of his friends followed his lead and they all looked at the same direction where Long Yue was currently looking at.
“MEOW”
[Luna?????]
Janus called her out as soon as he spotted Luna’s location.
Others might not have any idea where Luna was hiding if not for Long Yue’s gestures
But Janus was different.
He could clearly ascertain where exactly Luna was hiding.
That was why as soon as he found her, Janus immediately went towards her.
But before Janus could even go near Luna, a loud roar coming from the underneath of the bed shattered the silence inside the folded space.
“MAAAAWWWWRRRRRRR!!!!!!”
The loud roar reverberated inside the room.
It was so loud to the point that Mu Lingxi and her friends though for a split second that they might go deaf.
Even the folded space itself seemed to be on the verge of collapsing as it vibrated tremendously.
Its echo lasted for more than a few more seconds before it finally came to a stop
It was a good thing that the folded space that they purchased back them was of top-notch quality and it was inscribed with various fortification spells.
Or else, Mu Lingxi’s group would have been a goner now before they could even realize what had happened to them
The group did not expect to experience something like that, right after entering the folded space. So they were all visibly startled.
“Is that your cat, Long Yue???”
Yun Xue asked Long Yue as soon as he recovered from his initial shock. To which Long Yue responded with a nod of his head.
“MEOW”
[Luna???]
Janus tried to call her for the second time around. But this time, he did not approach her right away.
It was not that he was afraid of her or something.
But that roar that he just heard just a while ago did not seem to be a road that would come from someone like Luna.
He had known the other party by heart, and from how he knew Luna, she was not someone as ferocious as that.
The previous roar sounded so ferocious and frightening, which was enough to send cold shivers down the spine of anyone who could hear it.
In fact, Mu Lingxi and the others could not help but felt like a weak prey standing before a wild predator after hearing that roar.
The bed inside the room was slightly elevated to the floor, which allows a small for a small space underneath it.
There was nothing that could be seen under the bed, aside from darkness.
But as soon as Janus called Luna’s name again, a pair of multi-colored eyes appeared amidst the dark
Those pair of orb-like eyes that has the same size of a fist was staring back at them with the same degree of ferociousness as much as the previous roar.
Its contrasting color of violet in the left eye and blue on the other could have been beautiful and enchanting at the same time. If not because of a sense of danger radiating from those same eyes.
“Is that Luna???”
Asked Mu Lingxi as she tried her best not to stutter. Then she pointed to the thing that was hiding beneath the bed.
Long Yue did not answer her question right away but what he did next gave them an affirmative answer otherwise.
He stepped forward and reached his hand underneath the bed then he with a weak voice he called out his pet’s name
“Luna….”
He did not get a response from Luna right away. But after a while of waiting, the group heard the sound of something moving under the bed.
After that, Luna’s large body crawled out underneath the bed.
Luna was currently in her beast form, that was why when she finally came out she stood towering over the group.
It was also worth noticing that Luna’s size right now seemed to be a lot bigger than her previous size before when they first saw her in her beast form.
It was like Luna’s size on her beast form at least got doubled if not tripled.
She was so huge right now, to the point that even if Janus would try to transform in panther form right now and sat beside her, his size would be negligible compared to Luna.
Much like a toddler placed next to a full-grown man.
That was how huge Luna became.
“As you all can see, Luna became a lot bigger than she previously was.”
Long Yue said as soon as Luna came out for everyone to see.
“Isn’t it a good sign for a beast to grow bigger??? For what I know if a beast grows its size, it only means say that it also became stronger, Isn’t it???? Besides Luna is a form changing beast as well, so it should not be a problem, right?”
Fan Lei butted in.
If Long Yue’s concern was just all about Luna’s size, then isn’t it making a mountain out of a molehill?
After all, this kind of change normally happened to a beast and it was not something unheard of.
Not to mention that Long Yue’s pet is also a form changing beast.
It was not like they haven’t seen Long Yue’s pet, Luna changing form in a short notice before.
Long Yue’s beast was not just simply capable of changing form. It was also capable of changing in light speed!
From being a cat into becoming a beast then back to being a cat again, Luna was able to do that in a short notice.
Luna could do as much as that with ease as if she was just sneezing.
With that being said, it was safe to say that Luna’s extremely large size right now should not be something to worry over.
So why must Long Yue have to hide Luna’s current condition from them?
“Well, the problem is, Luna does not seem to remember how to revert back to her cat form. She was no longer able to change her form at will, unlike before.”
When Fan Lei finally brought that matter at hand, Long Yue decided to confide his first concern about Luna’s condition to his friends.
But apparently, that was just the least of his concern.
Because aside from Luna’s inability to change her form, Long Yue still had another thing that worried him more about Luna.
This time, however, Long Yue tried to lower his voice as much as possible, when he said his next concern.
It was like he was afraid that Luna might hear what she was about to say next.
Just what exactly was wrong with Luna????
