Sorceress - Chapter 334
“MEOW”
[I guess we just have to make do with it then. As I’ve said before, we could just take it as a blessing instead. Let us just be happy that your crossdressing disguise itself was too convincing to the point that they even take you as a womanizer.]
Janus said with a shrug but from the way he sounded, it was obvious that he was trying his best to hold back himself from laughing.
“Tsk!”
That was all Mu Lingxi could react as she watched Janus guffawed at the side.
Then she shot another flinty side glance towards Long Yue’s direction who seemed to be trying his best to blend within the white walls in his background.
Hoping that by doing so, he could remain unnoticed.
But when he felt Mu Lingxi’s eyes staring at him, he looked at her as well and mouthed,
“What????”
To which Mu Lingxi signaled him to keep his silence. She even put a finger about her lips to make a hush sign.
Long Yue, on the other hand, very cooperatively also made the same hush sign by himself. He even acted as if he was trying to zip his own lips.
Little did they know that someone from the group was actually watching their actions in curiosity.
Yun Xue had been watching Mu Lingxi and Long Yue’s entire exchanged of hand signals at the corner.
He wondered what they were up to?
At the same time, there was this same weird nagging feeling somewhere inside him that he always kept on having whenever he thought about Su Yan getting close with anyone else aside from him.
This was what frustrated him the most about himself lately.
Because no matter how hard he tried to shake those odd feelings away from him, it just kept on coming back.
And so just like before, without him knowing it to himself, he again started to turn grumpy for no reason
Which as a result only made his expression turn even darker than it already was.
“It’s already late, go and sleep!”
Yun Xue said before he unceremoniously turned off the lights before Mu Lingxi and Long Yue could even climb back to each of their own beds.
“Err?????”
Mu Lingxi and Long Yue did not expect to be cut off during their exchange of hand signals in such a way.
But knowing that this friend of theirs really had some tendency of extreme mood swings at times, they just decided to let the matter slide.
Chan Gu and the others were no different either.
Somehow, their group already get used to seeing the grumpy version of Yun Xue every now and then.
It did not come as surprise to them anymore whenever Yun Xue was acting like that for no reason.
From the current looks of it, it seemed that Janus was the other only one in the group who remained aware of what was truly happening at that time.
“MEOW”
[Haaayyy, I must say, this bunch of unexperienced kiddos was indeed too dense. A green-eyed, jelly, grumpy little lad was already throwing his tantrums before them but no one seemed to notice at all.]
No one aside from Janus had the spare energy within them to even think about Yun Xue’s reason for acting like that.
They were all too exhausted already throughout the day for them to even notice Yun Xue’s sudden peculiarity much more to analyze it at that.
In fact, even Mu Lingxi itself was no longer able to hear her cat’s comment because just like her other friends, she also fell asleep as soon as she closed her eyes.
That was how exhausted they were.
They were all exhausted to the point that as soon as their back hit the soft mattress of their bed, they immediately fell into a deep slumber.
And so Mu Lingxi and her friend’s day ended just like that.
Mu Lingxi and her friends knew better than anyone else that they better off not stayed up too late at night and risked running late for their upcoming class for tomorrow.
That could definitely prove to be troublesome once their subject teacher ended up picking a bone with them due to their tardiness.
So since all of them were well aware of the fact that they still had some other stuff to attend for the next day, then the group had no qualms or what so ever about falling asleep in almost at an instant
They all retired for the night like that, in the speed of light.
But of course, that was not before giving their friend, Su Yan, (Mu Lingxi) another suspecting look, despite the darkness due to the absence of lightning.
The way they stared at her was as if warning her against doing something nasty behind their backs.
Like sneaking out of their dorm room while everyone else was deep asleep
To which, of course, Mu Lingxi, could only sigh helplessly as she basked herself under all those warning looks that she had been receiving from his friends.
Her friends had been throwing her those same suspecting looks and warning gazes ever since she came back from meeting Mu Yanxiao.
If they only knew.
Mu Lingxi would be more than happy not to see Mu Yanxiao’s annoying face ever again, as much as they do.
If she only had a choice
Haaaaayyy.
In fact, Mu Lingxi would rather opt to stay locked up inside a confined space all by herself for an entire day than spending an hour with that villain wannabe cousin of hers, Mu Yanxiao
Besides, it was not as if it was her idea to meet the other party in the first place?
After all, the other party was the one who came knocking on their door in her own accord without prior notice.
Mu Lingxi was certainly clueless about it either as much as they did.
If only Yun Xue and the others also put some serious thought about it, then they might have realized about that fact beforehand
His friends should have been more than aware of that fact since she was with them throughout the day.
What Mu Lingxi just did could only be called as giving a face to Mu Yanxiao.
It could be said that Mu Lingxi just literally gave Mu Yanxiao some face a part of basic courtesy.
That was the least that she could do considering that the other party was already knocking on the other side of their door.
Because in the end, it would only make her look rude if she would just ignore the other party and stood ger up despite knowing that she already came all the way to their boys’ dormitory in the middle of the night and was currently waiting for her outside.
It was only when Janus finally looked around him did he realized that everyone was already asleep and even Mu Lingxi was not paying him attention.
“MEOW”
[Yeah, god for you. Well, in any case, all those misunderstandings would eventually be going to be sorted out in the near future. After all, that was how a story was supposed to be.]
