Sorceress - Chapter 336
While others were wondering about Long Yue, the person in question itself was actually on his way to Schoolmaster Yin’s office.
He was currently walking alone in the empty corridors and there was no one in sight since it was still early in the morning when he decided to head to the schoolmaster’s office.
Meanwhile, his pet cat, Luna, was still being kept inside the folded space since it was not safe to allow his pet to wander around the school grounds with that big physique of hers.
To date, Luna was still incapable of reverting back to her cat form yet. That was why she was still stuck in her beast form.
“MEOW”
[Master, master! Listen to me, please… Master Long Yueeeee!!!!]
Long Yue could definitely hear that someone was calling him but he never stopped walking. If any he even started to pick up his pace.
“No. It was nothing. It was all just inside your head Long Yue”
He said under his breath as he continued to move forward.
“MEOW”
[Yes master, it was all inside your head. I am currently talking to you through our mental link.”
“No! No Long Yue. You can’t hear her. You don’t hear anything… Lalalalalalalal”
Long Yue said as he tried to put his hands over his ears, hoping that by doing so it would actually help to stop the voice that he had been hearing.
He even started humming a song to block the voice.
When Long Yue finally saw those familiar floating stairs going to Schoolmaster Yin’s office, he heaved a sigh of relief.
Then with one quick sprint, he dashed straight to the stairs and climbed its steps.
When he was finally at the hall that looked like an art gallery, he immediately looked for the portrait of the lady that was the same as the guard at the entrance going to Schoolmaster Yin’s office.
When he spotted the familiar portrait of a beautiful lady sitting under the shade of a flowering peach tree, he immediately walked towards it and told her his reason for coming over
“Good morning, my lady. My name is Long Yue and I am a student warlock from the Red Realm. I have been meeting Schoolmaster Yin lately regarding my beast. Can I talk to him this morning, please?
But the lady in the portrait did not answer back nor move from her sitting position.
The other party just merely move the corner of her eyes to look at Long Yue, but she still maintained her same exact pose of holding something on her bosom.
“Please, I’m begging you, my lady. I know that I don’t have any appointment with Schoolmaster Yin today. But could you please tell him to spare me a few minutes??? I just need to talk to him about something, or I might go nuts by the end of this day.”
Long Yue pleaded with all earnestly at the lady in the portrait. But just like before, the lady’s face was devoid of any emotion.
“It was a concern regarding the beast that I entrusted to him for the past couple of weeks. I think something had gone wrong to her. That was why I have to talk to Schoolmaster Yin!”
Long Yue exclaimed in agitation when he noticed that the lady in the portrait was not taking him seriously.
Good thing that he lady in the portrait seemed to finally notice the edge of urgency in Long Yue’s tone at that time.
She stood on her feet and left her post for a while. Probably going to Schoolmaster Yin to inform him about Long Yue’s sudden visit.
When the lady came back in her designated post, she started to tear her canvas open to show Long Yue the passageway leading to Schoolmaster Yin’s office.
“Thank you.”
Long Yue said as he bowed his head towards the other party,
He knew well enough that without the other party’s cooperation, then it would never be possible for him to meet Shoolmasert Yin without an appointment
After he paid his respect to the lady in the portrait, he stepped inside the opened canvass and started to make his way towards the long dark corridor.
At the very end of the corridor, sat the wooden double door that used to separate Schoolmaster Yin’s bright office to the dark contrast of his corridor.
‘Knock. Knock. Knock’
Long Yue did three consecutive soft knocks at the door before he called Schoolmaster Yin’s attention and announced his presence.
“Schoolmaster Yin, this is Long Yue from the Red Realm, I wished to talk to you about my beast Luna. Can you spare me some of your time??”
Long Yue said as politely as he could.
“Come in.”
Schoolmaster Yin’s calm and welcoming voice can be heard from the other side of the door.
Since Long Yue finally got permission from Schoolmaster Yin itself to enter his office, then the young warlock no longer wasted any other second and opened the door right away.
Schoolmaster Yin greeted Long Yue with the same heartwarming smile as he stepped inside the room.
Whenever Long Yue saw the other party, he could not help but feel warmed by how the other party used to treat him.
Schoolmaster Yin always gave him a vibe of someone who seemed to be a loving and caring elderly.
And that was how Long Yue saw their schoolmaster.
In Long Yue’s eyes, he was someone whom he could rely on in his times of need.
“MEOW”
[Master, don’t go near him. I don’t feel good about him…]
Luna whispered meekly as she warned her master against associating himself with the schoolmaster.
She was currently trying to communicate with him through their mental link but it seemed that her master had no intention of listening to her at all
“What is it, that you needed from me, lad?”
Schoolmaster Yin asked Long Yue as soon as the young warlock settled himself inside the room.
He still had the same warm smile on his lips when he asked that question.
It was like as if Schoolmaster Yin’s eternal smile was actually pasted in his face permanently. Allowing him to maintain that smiling face of his no matter what he tried to say or do afterward.
“Schoolmaster, I think that something had gone wrong to my spiritual beast.
Long Yue said as he took Luna out of the folded space.
In an instant, a white beast with an extremely large physique materialized out of thin air.
“As soon as Luna woke up, she grew to that size and she did not seem to remember how to revert back to her cat form anymore.”
Long Yue continued to tell more about what he had observed to Luna over the past couple of days after she woke up, whilst Schoolmaster Yin listened to his story attentively not missing out a single detail.
“But what concerned me the most is when I suddenly started to hear things. I think Luna was starting to talk to me, schoolmaster. How was that possible??? I think I could understand what she was saying.”
Long Yue’s voice was getting softer and softer until it turned into almost a whisper when he said his last concern.
Even he himself, find it absurd.
“You mean to say??? Your cat was talking to you?? What is she saying then, right now???’
Schoolmaster Yin’s attention was immediately shifted to the news about how Long Yue’s pet was capable of talking.
He had lived an extremely long life already, yet it was his first time hearing about a talking beast!
“MEOW”
[Don’t tell him!]
“There! Don’t you hear her speak??? She just spoke to me, see?????”
Long Yue said with wide eyes as he stared at Schoolmaster Yin, waiting for his response.
