Sorceress - Chapter 339
“As I have noticed, you guys seemed to be more engaged in the theories rather than the practical application of magic. Most of you here rarely involved themselves in accepting school missions.
Well, I won’t blame you though for choosing the easier way to embark on learning magic. Reading it through books was indeed more conventional and undeniably a lot easier compared to the latter.
But I personally think that it would still be better if you guys could gain yourself some firsthand experience and know a thing or two about that stuff that goes beyond just the four corners of your classroom and what was being mentioned in the book.
Teacher Nana’s enchanting voice can be heard in the background as they made their way towards the school’s main trading center, Majika.
Just like what Teacher Nana had said, most of the students in the Red Realm especially those who were just in their first year at Magus Academia were indeed too weak-minded and rarely challenged themselves into accepting school missions.
Well, this might not necessarily be the case with Mu Lingxi’s group. They could be said to be the only exemption since they were the exact opposite of what Teacher Nana just said
But sad to say, aside from Mu Lingxi’s group, the rest of their class falls under this description.
It was for that same reason that Teacher Nana made up her mind and brought them somewhere out of the classroom.
Hoping that by doing so, her class would go and get a chance to be exposed to something else
“That was why for today, I will be bringing you all at the oldest general store business that had ever been established in Majika. I want all of you to have firsthand experience with some of the rare enchanted artifacts available in our school and get exposed with them real-time..”
Teacher Nana continued her explanation without looking back nor stopping on her track, while she lead her class on the direction going to the said general store.
After a while of nonstop walking and lengthy introduction, the class arrived at the very center of Majika.
The place was bustling with life and activity as usual.
Likewise, students and workers alike crowded the area and all sorts of magical goods were being traded.
Teacher Nana descended to a short flight of stairs in the corner and made a sharp turn at one of the alleys that were relatively dark and narrow.
Her students naturally followed behind her and they took a few more sharp turns for about another quarter of an hour.
Not long after, the class started to notice that the more they go forward, the fewer people they met along the way.
In fact, even the stores that were open for business were getting increasingly sparse.
It did not take long for the class to realize that they already reached the part of Majika that appeared to be slightly isolated.
Teacher Nana finally halted her steps when they arrived in front of a plain-looking store with a signboard saying “EVERYTHING EMPORIUM” at its entrance.
Those words were written in neat calligraphy that perfectly blended at the effortless yet mysterious look of the building.
The humble store created a stark contrast to the usual flashy stores that Mu Lingxi and her friends used to see at Majika.
Its walls were painted gray and were weathered by years yet despite the place looking rather old, it still had its own queer appeal that would make one’s eye stared at it a little longer.
“Here we are…”
Teacher Nana said as she gestured to the door and invited them in..
“Come in”
Unlike the usual doors of other stores that they had been, the door at Everything Emporium was actually adorned with capiz shell and it did not come with a doorknob.
If one wished to enter the store, they just had to simply slide the door open.
And so, Teacher Nana did just like that.
She slid the door open and stepped inside the store. But not before she took her shoes off and leave it at the door.
One by one, the student warlocks and sorceresses of the Red Realm whom Teacher Nana brought with her also stepped inside the store called, ‘Everything Emporium’
And although they were not sure why their teacher took her shoes off before entering, they still copied her act and took off their shoes as well.
The last one to enter the room was, of course, no other than Mu Lingxi and her group of friends.
As soon as they entered the store, rows after rows of glass cabinets greeted their eyes.
There were no attendants or receptionist that welcomed them on the entrance. In fact, there was no single person at all in the lobby.
But it seemed that it was actually normal and that was to be expected in the store because apparently, Teacher Nana was not surprised at all that there was no one to welcome them.
Instead, she walked straight to the counter and there they saw the first and only person manning the store.
“Madam Xing.”
Teacher Nana greeted the old lady at the counter.
“These are my students from the Red Realm and I wonder if they could be allowed to have a look at some of the items that you were selling in here. Would that be fine with you?”
Teacher Nana asked with a polite smile.
“Yes, of course! It would be my forever pleasure to host the students of Magus Academia.”
Madam Xing replied with enthusiasm.
“You had my thanks, Madam Xing.”
Teacher Nana said before she bowed her head towards Madam Xing to show her gratitude for the other party’s generosity.
After that, she looked back at her class and left them with a few more instructions before she took her leave.
“Each of the items displayed in this store was valuable and have their own worth so I expect you all not to be careless and conduct yourself properly while I was away.
Also, as you can see, each of the items here has their respective tablets beside them. Written on those tablets are the introduction as well as some useful facts about a specific enchanted artifact. Now, what I want you guys to do was to take note of all of those pieces of information and study it with diligence. Do you understand??”
With that being said, Teacher Nana allowed her class to wander around the store and see for themselves what kind of enchanted artifacts were being displayed at the oldest business established in Majika.
“This way, please.”
Madam Xing beckoned to Teacher Nana as she gestured her to one of the closed-door room and invited her inside.
Yu Xue and the others noticed that but they did not pay it any heed and just like their other classmates, they also wandered and looked around the place.
Checking at some artifacts that were being displayed in the glass cabinets whenever one managed to catch their eye.
