Soul For A Girlfriend? - Chapter 262
Sekiguchi was standing in front of me with a troubled expression on his face. His eyes were shifting from Moriko towards his friend, Ishihara who was standing near the door of the stall with an agitated face.
He was anticipating an answer from Sekiguchi that would be in his favour but Sekiguchi was slowly becoming aware that everything in front of his eyes was indicating otherwise.
His friend might not be as innocent as he thought.
“See… Moriko said he was trying to help her.” I said, looking towards her whose face was red and both of us could tell that she wasn’t feeling well. Sekiguchi nodded hesitantly, and added, “But she is also the one who told him to bang her.”
“Isn’t that contradictory? Why would she wanna have sex if she isn’t feeling well?” I asked him, as I walked a bit closer to Moriko. She wasn’t in her right state of mind so I assumed it would be best to stick by her for a while.
“He is lying! I’m telling you.” Moriko claimed immediately in an agitated tone, as Sekiguchi was getting restless too. Showing us his palm, he said in a sheepish tone, “Let’s calm down for a moment…”
There was an intense air between us. Ishihara was intently staring at Moriko while Sekiguchi was becoming more and more confused. He clenched his jaws and seemed to be in a dilemma.
I won’t blame him since everything in front of him was rather speculation. By the time he appeared, Ishihara wasn’t forcing himself on Moriko so in Sekiguchi’s eyes, this was all a farce.
I could make this predicament progress rather smoothly, if I could prove to him that Ishihara’s motives weren’t well intended.
Moriko was standing there with her hand on her forehead and a slightly flustered face. I narrowed my eyes on her, and asked, “Moriko… you finished your drink?”
Something struck my mind at that moment.
“No… I wasn’t feeling well so I wanted to use the washroom.” She replied in a hesitant and low tone, as Ishihara immediately shot back, “Moriko… come on! Why are you making me look bad?”
I was becoming a bit confused too since this was my first time handling a situation like that. And the point we were all standing was way too delicate.
One wrong step and things would take a turn for the worst.
“Let’s head back right now… I might be able to prove my claim.” I said with quite the confidence in my voice. The main problem wasn’t Sekiguchi, but his friend who would surely try to use this opportunity to his advantage and shift all the blame to Moriko and ruin her reputation.
I could read him like an open book.
“What do you mean?” Sekiguchi asked me, as I didn’t bother to elaborate much, and gestured to him, “Take him, and head back to the room. I’ll go with her after guys enter. Try to keep this as low-profile as possible.”
Ishihara put something in her drink and these substances are usually colourless and odourless so there was no way for the victim to know that their drink had been sabotaged. But there was a way to find out.
All of our drinks had a lot of ice in it. And with that room temperature, the ice would take longer than usual to melt.
Leaving aside the part that got mixed in the drink, there would still be some of the drugs stuck on the ice. They won’t get mixed unless it’s being stirred well.
That was my hypothesis.
“Got you… Let’s go, Yasui!” Sekiguchi wrapped his hand around Ishihara’s shoulders and dragged him out of there.
As I heard their footsteps leaving the washroom, I turned towards Moriko and asked, “Are you good?”
“How were you able to tell?” She asked in instantly, as I looked at her curious face and said, “That he sabotaged your drink?”
“Yes… even I didn’t notice it.”
“Well… those are trivial things… Are you feeling a bit better?”
“I’m a bit dizzy but other than that… it’s all good.” She said after taking a deep breath. Since she wasn’t affected that much, there was a high possibility that most of the substance got stuck on ice.
What a dumbass, couldn’t even spike her drink properly.
I told her to wash her face, as it appeared that her face was quite hot. She was sweating slightly too and splashing water on face would wear down her dizziness completely.
“That’s great. Now let’s head back quickly. Your drink might still have some of the substance he put in.” I said, as she said in a low tone, “Thank you.”
“Make sure to act normal. Keep this incident as latent as possible.” I said while we were returning back to the room, as she nodded slightly and replied, “Of course… I wasn’t planning to tell anyone about it either way.
We entered the room and the sound of music being blasted hit my ear. Shiraishi looked at me, and her eyes shifted towards Moriko who walked past me and entered the room.
I knew Shiraishi had a lot of questions for me at that moment.
I walked up to Shiraishi and pointing towards Moriko’s glass, I asked, “Shiraishi, pass me Moriko’s glass.”
“Why?” She asked in a curious tone, and narrowed her eyes at me. To avoid any unnecessary drama, I pointed towards Ishihara and whispered to her, “Yasui wants it.”
“Ooo… say less.” Her lips curved into a smug as he handed me the glass. I’m glad everyone was way too busy with themselves to be aware of their surroundings.
There was still some juice left in the glass. I was examining it , his eyes shifted towards me but since I told him to keep a low profile, he didn’t say anything. I handed him the glass, “Here…”
“What the… Yasui? What the hell, dude?” Sekiguchi said with disbelief in his voice, as he replied instantly, “What!?”
“Oi… don’t yell!”
My eyes told you…”
