Spartan In Star Wars - Chapter 42
“I’m coming down”
“Hold all fire and hold position.”
All of the clones held their fire. Count Dooku looked at the actions of the clones wondering what they were doing. Even the clone Captain was slightly confused by this action.
“Why are we not firing back!”
Dom stood there silently and looked at the sky. This caused everyone grouped around Dom to look towards the sky. Thousands of dots appeared in the sky falling in their direction. A few seconds later those objects slammed into the ground releasing Mandalorians. Many of them immediately activated their jetpacks and took positions around the arena quickly destroying droids around them.
“This isn’t good.” Count Dooku turns to escape the arena disappearing into the darkness of the tunnel.
A pod landed in the center of the arena near the duel of Jango and Mace. This brought the duel to halt. The door popped open and Diesel walked out. Jango took the chance to fire onto Diesel thinking he had an opportunity to take out the new Mandalor. Diesel simply dodges all the shots, returning his with his own taking out Jango’s jetpack.
“Jango Fett, I believe this is our first time meeting. I suggest you surrender to us and live. Or die leaving your kid alone.”
Jango takes out his viroblade and runs at Diesel. “I will not surrender to you!” Diesel reaches out, catching the viroblade in his hand, lifting his leg kicking him in the c.h.e.s.t sending him flying back a few feet.
“For a famous bounty hunter you’re kinda weak. Ruray tie Jango up and bring the kid. What are you all waiting for finish the droids off we have work to do.”
The battle kicked off right away at the words of Diesel. The clones were stunned; they never thought Diesel would basically be able to one shot Jango. They were based off that man and he was nothing compared to Diesel.
“Yoda, the situation at the arena will be taken care of in a few minutes. I’d suggest gathering everyone here before we push further in.”
“Very well, land we will.” A bunch of LAATs land in the general vicinity of the arena. Jedi’s and clone troopers unload from the LAATs and begin cleaning the outside of the arena of any droid stragglers. Mandalorians launched over the top of the arena with their jetpack landing outside joining the fray.
With the battle around the arena finally settling down the three sides met up in the center of the arena. The Jedi walked in following a small green creature. The clones of the 300th followed Dom and the Mandalorians followed Diesel.
“It’s a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e seeing the three of you again.” Diesel looks towards Sophia, Dom and the green creature. ” Master Yoda, what is the Jedi’s plan of attack?
“The droids are advancing here while our troops and holding the line here, no major advancements have occurred anywhere. The Jedi will make an attack here.” Mace Windu takes the initiative to answer for Yoda pointing towards a wide open arena.
“That is absolutely the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Your plan is to just charge god who knows how many droids in an open field? You’re wasting military resources and men. Nevermind forget I ask. You Jedi will do what you’re told, this is enough for me to realize how much actual experience in war you have.”
The clones were all stunned and happy at the same time. They knew the plan that was given to them was terrible. But they were programmed to follow orders and had no choice but to listen to it. The Mandalorian leader though crushed that plan in an instant. A newfound respect was formed with the few clones’ presence.
Most of the Jedi were extremely annoyed that the plan was shot down in an instant and the power they had was stripped from them in just moments. “What gives you the right to make a judgement on our plan! You people are nothing but warmongers.”
“Shouldn’t that be exactly why you should listen to us. Your plan will involve an extremely high death rate. Do you want the responsibility for all those deaths? I would imagine you rather most here to live rather than die. Your plan is utterly terrible, If this is the plan you’re using we will leave. We will not partake in the slaughter of our troops.”
“Permission to speak freely.” Diesel looks over to a clone that just stepped forward.
“Permission granted and you are?”
“I’m Captain Rex of the 300th Battalion. Master Jedi we clones are also against this plan, for the good of my brothers and yourself I would suggest listening to the Spartans.” This moment would set a precedent for all clones in the future. They had the right to stand up for bad plans. The regular commanders of the clone army took this moment and recorded it to the back of their heads.
Master Yoda noticed the slight change in the clones behavior as this one took a step forward. The force flew enveloped Yoda telling him of a future disaster. Although the details were extremely vague he knew he needed to make a change here.
